About the Role
This Project Officer role is part of Bright Futures, our mentoring and employability support programme for young Gypsy and Traveller people aged 15-25. You will keep the programme organised, connected and running smoothly - managing records and systems, building partnerships, and coordinating workshops and activities so that young people can find their way in and get the most out of the support on offer.
Many of the young people we work with have faced exclusion or discrimination within mainstream education, employment and other services, and are often not in education, employment or training (NEET). The processes, systems and communications you manage all need to be accessible and responsive to young people who may be wary of formal support.
You will coordinate outreach and community engagement to bring young people into the programme, build and maintain relationships with colleges, training providers, employers and community organisations, and manage day-to-day communications with young people, families and partners. You will set up and coordinate a Youth Advisory Group, giving young people a structured way to help shape the programme. You may also be asked to cover for mentee support when a mentor is unavailable or at capacity.
This role is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
About You
This role is for someone who enjoys keeping things organised and connected, and who wants that work to make a real, practical difference in young people's lives – someone committed to supporting young people from marginalised and underserved communities to fairly access relevant opportunities.
You will be highly organised, with strong admin skills and confidence using digital tools and databases. You will also be a confident communicator, equally comfortable writing a promotional post, following up with a training provider, or having a conversation with a young person or their family.
The role is ideal for someone with experience of outreach, building partnerships or community engagement, who can build trusting relationships with a wide range of people – from young people and families to colleges, employers and community organisations. You should be open to providing support to young people when needed.
We don't expect you to already have all the answers what matters most is your admin and organisational ability, your commitment to the communities we work with, and your confidence building relationships across a wide range of people and settings. We will support your development through supervision, training and a small, collaborative team environment.
We know not everyone will meet every requirement in the job description below, but if you feel you have what it takes, please apply and tell us how your experience and skills make you suitable.
If you are not sure what the work looks like or you want to ask questions before applying, we are happy to chat with you about the role. Please contact Mini Ravi (Programme Lead) by calling on our office phone.

YEF Detached Youth Work Project Lead
Relationships change lives.
At M13 Youth Project, we believe every young person deserves trusted adults who believe in them, walk alongside them and help them discover who they are, what they have to offer and the difference they can make. For over 30 years, we've built those relationships through detached youth work - meeting young people where they choose to be, listening deeply and creating opportunities for belonging, belief and hope.
We're now looking for an experienced Detached Youth Work Project Lead to join our team and play a central role in one of the UK's most ambitious detached youth work research pilots.
M13 is leading the Greater Manchester consortium delivering the Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) Detached Youth Work Pilot. The Pilot aims to build a strong evidence base for researching detached youth work, combining outstanding frontline practice with rigorous evaluation to shape the future of youth work nationally.
Reporting to the Founding Director, you'll provide the day-to-day leadership of M13's delivery of the pilot. You'll lead a small team of detached youth workers, coordinate operational delivery across intervention neighbourhoods and ensure the project is delivered safely, consistently and in line with the YEF Shared Practice Model and research requirements.
This is first and foremost a practice leadership role. You'll spend much of your week out in parks, streets and neighbourhoods, building trusted relationships with young people through high-quality detached youth work. Alongside this, you'll supervise and support colleagues, oversee monitoring and reporting, build positive relationships with community members and partner organisations, and, together with the Founding Director, work closely with the Centre for Evidence and Implementation (CEI) and consortium partners to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
We're looking for someone who is an experienced detached youth worker, confident leading others and passionate about relational practice. You'll be organised, reflective and proactive, with experience of supervising staff, coordinating projects, maintaining high-quality records and working collaboratively with partners. Most importantly, you'll share our belief that relationships are the foundation for meaningful change.
This is a 35-hour per week, office- and community-based role. (M13's full-time week is 37.5 hours). Your week will include six detached youth work sessions (three afternoons and three evenings), alongside team leadership, partnership working, supervision, monitoring and project coordination. Some flexibility can be offered around when office-based work is undertaken, where operationally possible.
In return, we offer a supportive, reflective and values-led working environment, regular supervision, ongoing professional development, a generous employer pension contribution, TOIL for out-of-hours working, additional Christmas gift leave and the opportunity to contribute to nationally significant research that could shape the future of detached youth work.
If you're an experienced detached youth worker ready to combine excellent frontline practice with leadership, learning and innovation, we'd love to hear from you.
Please submit your CV together with answers to the five questions below, limiting your response to 250 words per question. Please do not exceed the word limit as doing so may affect the scoring of your answers. We encourage you to use examples from your own practice, explaining not only what you did, but why you made particular decisions and what you learned.
We use a blind recruitment process to help ensure fair and equitable recruitment. Applications will be shortlisted against the Person Specification, so please demonstrate how your skills, experience and values meet the requirements of the role. We welcome examples from paid or voluntary roles, and recognise that many skills are transferable.
We exist to be a consistent, trusted presence in communities experiencing deep-rooted inequality.

Why this role matters
We have ambitious plans for the future including building a new Centre to provide opportunities for therapies and independent growth for young people, and we know that developing sustainable voluntary income will be critical to achieving them. That's why we're investing in fundraising and creating this new role. Role Overview and Application Process
Job Title: Charity Development Manager
Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week)
Location: This role can be either office-based at the Royal School for the Blind Charity, or hybrid.

Term: Two-year fixed term in the first instance, with the ambition to establish fundraising as a sustainable long-term function within the charity.
This is a rare opportunity to build and shape a new fundraising operation from the ground up, playing a pivotal role in the long-term growth and sustainability of the Royal School for the Blind Charity. In addition, you will have access to colleagues across our services to help bring our impact to life, and support to develop campaigns and engage new audiences. Alongside this, the Charity is currently fundraising for a capital project for a significant new building to resource our activities and reach out into the wider community. About Us
The Wildlife Trusts are a grassroots movement of people from a wide range of backgrounds and all walks of life, who believe that we need nature and nature needs us. We have more than 945,000 members, over 33,000 volunteers, 4,100 staff and 600 trustees. There are 46 individual Wildlife Trusts, each of which is a place-based independent charity with its own legal identity, formed by groups of people getting together and working with others to make a positive difference to wildlife and future generations, starting where they live and work.
Every Wildlife Trust is part of The Wildlife Trusts federation and a corporate member of the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts, a registered charity in its own right founded in 1912 and one of the founding members of IUCN – the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. Taken together this federation of 47 charities is known as The Wildlife Trusts.
The next few years will be critical in determining what kind of world we all live in. We need to urgently reverse the loss of wildlife and put nature into recovery at scale if we are to prevent climate and ecological disaster. We recognise that this will require big, bold changes in the way The Wildlife Trusts work, not least in how we mobilise others and support them to organise within their own communities.
About You
As Head of Project Management Office (PMO), you will help our fast-growing organisation bridge the gap between strategy and execution. This is a greenfield opportunity, and you will be responsible for designing, scaling, and executing a right-sized, organisation-wide project delivery function. You will oversee an interesting investment and grant-funded portfolio, coordinate complex strategic programmes, and directly manage a core team of project managers.
Working closely with the Executive Office and Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure that strategic initiatives are prioritised, sequenced and delivered effectively so that benefits are realised and change is successfully embedded into business as usual. You will establish the PMO as a trusted centre of excellence, supporting confident decision making, disciplined delivery and transparency across RSWT and The Wildlife Trusts.
As Head of the Project Management Office, you will have a proven track record of leading portfolio, programme and delivery management functions in a complex organisation. Ideally, you will have experience of designing and scaling a PMO or delivery function from the ground up – you will be comfortable setting up lean, agile project governance structures which respect our charity’s culture while driving operational maturity. You will be confident using portfolio and delivery management tools and reporting approaches and are skilled at turning insight into action ready information for leaders.
You will be able to communicate complex information clearly, provide constructive challenge, and build trust with stakeholders across the organisation.
As a leader, you will have experience developing and leading high performing teams, fostering collaboration, strategic thinking and continuous improvement. You will be committed to building organisational capability — coaching others, championing good practice and creating communities of practice that strengthen delivery confidence over time.
If you are a pragmatic leader with a passion for disciplined delivery and helping organisations achieve meaningful change, we encourage you to apply for this role.
Our Culture
At RSWT, people are at the heart of everything we do, we are committed to promoting positive wellbeing, supporting our colleagues to grow, make a meaningful contribution and help deliver greater impact for nature, climate and communities. Through learning, development and collaboration, we aim to foster an inclusive, supportive and values-led culture where colleagues feel confident to share ideas, contribute their perspectives, challenge constructively and learn from experience. We are committed to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive environment and maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment) or abuse. This extends to all interactions with our employees by third parties, including clients, contractors, suppliers and visitors.
We encourage everyone to bring their authentic selves to work and to feel comfortable and confident in their working environment. Whether working from home, in the office, outdoors or in the community with key stakeholders, we trust colleagues to use their judgement and managers’ guidance to dress appropriately reflecting our values and professionalism.
The International Project Manager - Agroecology will manage key international initiatives in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs), focusing on partner collaboration in Benin and Ethiopia. You will oversee project delivery, build impact-monitoring data systems, and provide technical guidance on sustainable crop and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices.
PAN UK is the only charity in Britain dedicated solely to raising awareness of the problems caused by pesticides and working for better solutions. It is an independent, non-profit organisation, which works nationally and internationally to eliminate the use of hazardous pesticides and to support the adoption of sustainable alternatives. PAN UK operates as part of a global network of partner organisations. Its work reaches directly to partners and smallholder farmers in Ethiopia, Benin and elsewhere as well as national policy makers and global actors, such as UNEP and UNFAO.
Our work includes generating evidence by working with farmers and researchers on both the impacts of pesticides and on the viability of safer and more sustainable alternatives. We use this evidence to advocate for wider change in policy and practice.
The successful candidate will join PAN UK's International Team at an important time. With our partners, we have recently secured a five-year grant from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) for a UNEP-led project to support the mainstreaming of organic cotton in Benin. PAN UK’s role will be to develop data reporting systems that measure impact and support the needs of donors, supply chain actors and national authorities.
The International Project Manager (Agroecology) will also support our projects with our partner, PAN Ethiopia, to support smallholder cotton and vegetable growers. This work enables us to co-create innovative tools and approaches that can be disseminated more widely.
Global actors, governments, consumers and rural communities are increasingly recognising the negative impacts of pesticide-dependent, industrial agriculture on human health, climate and biodiversity. PAN UK aims to secure increasing support for agroecological approaches that help rural communities to secure sustainable and resilient livelihoods and protect the environmental resources on which they depend.
PAN UK actively encourages applications from diverse backgrounds. We view diversity in its broadest form, which includes, but is not limited to, the consideration of race, nationality, gender, age, class, disability, sexuality, language and educational background. We particularly encourage applications from eligible candidates from minority ethnic groups which remain under-represented in the charity sector.
The closing date for applications is 20th September 2026. Interviews will be held on Wednesday the 30th September or Thursday 1st October 2026 at our offices in Brighton. If a second interview is needed, this will take place on Friday the 2nd of October.
For 40 years, PAN UK has worked to tackle the problems caused by pesticides and to promote safe and sustainable alternatives

-
Working collaboratively across the organisation to ensure policy work is aligned and informed by wider insight.
-
Contributing to the development of the policy function, including its priorities, ways of working, and culture of collaboration, openness, and continuous improvement.

-
Demonstrable experience of communicating policy to senior officials, Ministers, advisers, Parliamentarians and wider industry stakeholders, both verbally and through high-quality written outputs.

Strong understanding of UK and devolved policy-making and legislative processes, and strong political acumen and awareness of UK and devolved governments’ priorities.
-
Understanding of, or commitment to developing expertise in, disability, accessibility, and inclusive transport policy.
-
Ability to work collaboratively within a larger team and a complex matrix organisation, and build effective internal and external relationships.
Nice to haves:

Experience helping to establish, improve or professionalise policy processes in an organisation.
-
