We are looking for a part-time Communications Strategist to support MDP in the communication of our work through social media, press engagement, community storytelling, and organisational communications.
The Communications Strategist will be responsible for all MDP communications, with an emphasis on developing sharp, engaging, and sometimes humorous social media content on migrant justice and democracy in the UK. This role is perfect for creatives who have skills in graphic design, video editing, and copywriting; and can support the team with creative brainstorming on the latest social media trends, meme formats, cultural references, and political opportunities for posting.
You will also manage MDP’s newsletter, website, and work with the Campaign and Public Affairs Manager and the Community Organiser to identify opportunities to tell stories about why we need to get votes for all residents and have migrants participating in UK politics.
TERMS AND BENEFITS
Fixed term contract for 12 months (with the possibility of extension depending on future grants), £38,000 pro rata (equivalent to £30,400 per year), with a September or October 2026 start.
25 days of paid annual leave pro rata, plus bank holidays. In addition, the MDP office closes for two paid weeks over Christmas and New Year.
4% pension (3% employer and 5% employee contributions)

The CHWS opened in 2022 with the aim of providing advice, information, and specialist support to Croydon residents with mental health concerns, who drop-in, or have been referred to the via the local Integrated Care Network Plus multi-disciplinary clinical and community mental health support teams.
The Advice Workers will be part of a friendly team, including crisis workers and clinical mental health professionals and function as the first point of access for visitors to the CHWS. Following an initial conversation to ascertain the clients’ needs, the Advice Workers will provide information and advice, as well as signposting and referrals to specialist services, such as the Mental Health Personal Independence Co-ordinators, Social Prescribers and Community Link Workers, in addition to the wider voluntary and statutory services in the borough. Oasis Hub Waterloo is looking for an experienced and ambitious fundraiser to lead the next chapter of our fundraising journey.
For over 20 years we’ve been serving our local community through an integrated model that brings together education, community services and church. Every week we support children, young people and families through our schools, Foodbank, debt, welfare, housing and immigration advice, youth work, mentoring, community spaces and much more. As our new Head of Fundraising, you’ll play a key role in making that vision possible.
You’ll develop and deliver a sustainable fundraising strategy, building income across trusts and foundations, major donors, corporate partnerships, statutory funding, community fundraising and individual giving. You’ll also lead and develop a small fundraising team and work closely with colleagues across the organisation to maximise opportunities for support.
You'll be joining us at a pivotal moment in the organisation, as we seek to embed a sustainable income generation strategy, ensuring we can sustainably meet and grow our £1.3 million budget. This is a strategic leadership role with plenty of hands-on fundraising.

· A successful track record in senior fundraising, particularly securing significant trust and foundation funding.
· Experience developing and delivering fundraising strategies that achieve sustainable income growth.
· Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
· Experience managing staff.
· A passion for community transformation and social justice.

Hope for Justice is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional to join our team as an Independent Modern Slavery Advocate® (IMSA®) (Trainee) to join our Advocacy team and work within the IMSA® model pilot. This is an in-role trainee position which requires successful completion of the IMSA® PG Certification in order to progress to the full IMSA® role.
Since September 2025, the IMSA® Model Development Project has been pioneering a national pilot. Hope for Justice is working in partnership with 14 other organisations, together employing 28 IMSAs® and Senior IMSAs® who are working alongside adult survivors of human trafficking. Hope for Justice leads the central IMSA® Model Hub within the pilot, supporting IMSAs® and their employing organisations throughout the UK.
To achieve our collection aim of a standardised national model of accredited independent advocacy for adult survivors of modern slavery, all IMSAs® are required to successfully complete the IMSA® PG Certification with St Mary's University. This opportunity will fully fund and support you to complete the IMSA® PG Certification, whilst working as a Trainee IMSA®. Upon successful completion, you will progress into the full IMSA® role. Throughout your training we will support you in the following ways:
·Released in-work time for PG Certification attendance and study
·Reduction in caseload and/or complex cases
·Additional supervision and support for casework
IMSAs® work alongside survivors to help them understand their rights and to navigate the complex systems and support services available in the UK. By working with an independent advocate, survivors can overcome barriers and make informed decisions about their recovery.
This is a UK-based role within our UK Advocacy Team and a fixed term contract until December 2027 (in line with IMSA® Model Pilot timeframes).
This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery and the development of a national pilot working towards a shared goal of every survivor of modern slavery and human trafficking having access to an Independent Modern Slavery Advocate®.
