About Us
Forever Young People CIC delivers relationship-led community programmes across Hertfordshire, currently anchored by our community youth projects and our Dot to Dot mum and baby group. We're part of the wider Forever Young People family, which has spent years building trust-based, relationship-first work with young people and families across the county.
We're at a turning point: our CIC has a real track record and real potential, but no one whose full-time job it is to lead it. That's where you come in.
The Role
We're looking for someone to take genuine ownership of the CIC — its strategy, its funding, and its future programmes — reporting directly to our CEO. You'll line-manage our Trusts & Foundations fundraising consultant, decide which funding opportunities to pursue, and build the relationships and programmes that take the CIC beyond what we've already started.
This isn't a role where you'll be handed a finished playbook. It's a role for someone who wants to build one.
You'll:
About You
You don't need to have done exactly this job before — but you do need to have done something like it. You're someone who can set a strategy and still get your hands dirty. You've probably managed a freelancer or consultant before. You've built relationships with funders or partners when resources were tight, not abundant. And most importantly, you actually want to build something — not just keep an existing programme ticking over.
Experience with trusts and foundations fundraising, youth or family support work, or a background moving from a founder-led organisation toward distributed leadership would all be a bonus, though none are essential.

Location: Global Lumos role based in the UK
Location type: Hybrid
Reporting to: Chief Programmes and Advocacy Officer
Annual salary: £90,000 – £100,000 GBP
Closing date: Monday, 12th October, 9:00 am CET
Background
Lumos Foundation works to realise every child’s right to a family by transforming care systems around the world. Our vision is a world in which all children grow up in safe and loving families within supported communities.
Founded in 2005 by author J.K. Rowling, Lumos partners with governments, civil society and young people with lived experience to transform care systems globally and advocate for family-based solutions that help children thrive. We ensure that families receive the support they need to stay together or reunite, and that children grow up in family-based settings such as foster or kinship care, not institutions.
Despite clear evidence of the harms of institutionalisation, more than five million children worldwide continue to live in institutions. And a much larger number of children are at risk of family breakdown and separation – those living in poverty, experiencing domestic violence and abuse, and living in countries affected by conflict.
We are ambitious for children’s safety. In the next ten years, Lumos will enable 500K children in care to return to family-based care, while preventing ten million more children from experiencing family breakdown and separation – so that they can thrive in their own families. Working with local, national, and global partners, Lumos supports government-led transformation of childcare systems across Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America- driving systemic and sustainable change.
Lumos’ ambition for children is significant and will require the organisation and its partners to work in new ways – with a pace, drive and urgency that this moment demands – and that children everywhere deserve.
Lumos’ success will continue to be based not just on what we do, but on how we do it – our values. We embrace collaboration. We strive for excellence. We show respect. We always care. And we are passionate. We are Lumos.

One25 is a Bristol charity for women moving from crisis and trauma towards independence in the community. It is a highly respected charity working with some of the most vulnerable women to help them to heal and thrive.
For this position, please specify if you are interested in full-time (37.5) or part-time (30) hours (or both).
One25 services have been developed to meet women at their point of need, with love and practical support. We do this through our night outreach service which is a lifeline for women on Bristol’s streets. Our specialist caseworkers offer intensive one-to-one care in any area of need: from support in court to finding somewhere safe to live. Our Hub provides vital access for women to health services, supported by healthcare professionals.
This is an exciting opportunity to join One25 as we recruit an Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advisor (IDSVA) to join our specialist case work team. You will be supporting women who street sex work and are at a high risk of domestic and sexual violence. This role is key to coordinating a multi-agency response to women to improve their safety, while providing trauma informed practical and emotional support individually.
We are looking for someone who is creative, who values person-centred support and a team player who is passionate about improving the safety of women. Please refer to the job description and person specification for more information.
One25 is committed to being an inclusive workplace that represents the diversity of the communities we serve. We actively encourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We particularly encourage applications from across the global majority, LGBTQ and disability groups, and those who have lived experience of multiple disadvantages as these groups are underrepresented within our workforce.
As part of our efforts to increase ethnic diversity, we are taking positive action under the Equality Act 2010 (Section 159). We will guarantee an interview to applicants from global majority backgrounds who meet the essential criteria for the role. Applicants are therefore asked to ensure they complete the Equalities Form when submitting their details in order that their application can be considered appropriately. Please refer to One25’s Recruitment Data Privacy Policy for more information.
We are happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments individuals may require once in post, but also during the application and interview process to make it as inclusive as possible. This could include (but is not limited to) different ways of applying, sharing interview questions in advance, or allowing more time for tasks during the interview.
Occupational Requirement
This post is open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010. Following the 2025 Supreme Court judgment, this part of the Equality Act now means we can only consider applications from women who were assigned female at birth for this role. We welcome applicants to get in touch with us if they’d like to discuss this further.
Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.
Hours: We are looking for 2 IDSVAs. One position is 37.5 hours per week over 5 days and one position is 30 hours per week over 4 days. About Us
The Women’s Work Lab C.I.C exists to support mums to (re)start their careers and build the confidence, skills and networks to move forward.
Many of the mums we work with have faced significant barriers to employment. That might be domestic abuse, caring responsibilities, mental health challenges or simply being out of work for a long time. Whatever their story, they arrive with huge potential and our role is to help unlock that.
Our 12-week HIVE programme combines training, connection and work placements, followed by 9 months of ongoing support. The impact is real and lasting not just supporting movement into work, but building confidence, identity and community.
And we get results! Outcomes for participants include new careers, further training and crucially the creation of a vital support network. Over 70 percent of our 2024/25 graduates are either in jobs, training or volunteering.
WWL is now a team of 17 and we’re currently running programmes in Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire and Somerset.
The role
Due to our geographical expansion, we’re looking to hire a Somerset based L&D Specialist. We are excited to be delivering more programmes in Somerset this academic year so this role is specifically for programmes in locations including Bridgwater, Taunton and potetially Street/Yeovil. We will be delivering our core HIVE programmes as well as specialist schools programmes in the area.
You will be responsible for delivering our award-winning training during term time. Between October and early December you will be required to shadow training (twice per week) being delivered in Bridgwater, before delivering yourself from January 2027 onwards.
The training for our HIVE programme and our specialist schools programmes are made up of cohorts of 15-20 Mums and is structured around 2 half days days per week (10am - 1.30pm), during school hours and term time only.
Working with the Learning & Quality Manager and the Programme Manager, you will own the delivery and evaluation of any training, ensuring that the face-to-face element of our programme is delivered in an engaging, innovative and creative way. You will be heavily supported by the Core Support Team in Bristol, with key people travelling to be with you in Somerset for quality and monitoring purposes.
You will take the established programme content (you will not need to design any content), and using your skills in facilitation and coaching and your wider business and/or workplace experience, you will make it your own. Your role will be to bring the basic content to life with personal anecdotes, learnings and insight. You will feel comfortable picking up developed and tested content and bringing your own perspective to each component. The peer support network that develops across cohorts creates a vital support network for our Mums and you will need to confidently facilitate the cohesiveness of these groups.
You will also own the end to end evaluation and feedback of each cohort, and proactively use the output to improve the content and delivery as you go along.
You
You will be Somerset based and have local insight including familiarity with Taunton, Bridgwater and the nearby towns and villages.
You will have a proven track record of delivering training or coaching in a proactive and responsive way. Experience and understanding of employment and recruitment practices is also a really important part of the support we give our Mums.
You will have strong empathy and emotional intelligence and be able to read the room effectively, managing (at times) difficult or challenging conversations sensitively and supportively. Our training is a collaborative experience so you will need to be someone who can be flexible with timings and content to get the best out of any session.
We place a huge emphasis on lived experience in our team and half of our current team are previous WWL participants. We want our team to continue to reflect the communities we support and would encourage and welcome applications from under-represented groups who would like to use their lived experience in a positive way. Programme delivery is term time and school hours only.
*Due to the nature of the work carried out in our training, this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
Remuneration
In line with our usual recruitment and on-boarding for Mum-facing roles, you will need to shadow a programme before delivery begins in January 2027. This initial on-boarding phase will be paid at a freelance rate of £350 p/day (made up of 2 half days per week) which will take place in Bridgwater. There will be a break during the month of November when Mums will be on Careers Month and training is paused.
The PAYE contract would begin in January 20267 - this will be 15 hours/week, term-time only and run until 31st July 2027. Salary would be £35k pa/pro-rata.
