The role

To provide a comprehensive, professional and confidential Personal Assistant (PA) role to the Head of Activist Learning and Development, through the provision of efficient and effective secretarial, administrative and project administration duties, while working flexibly and collaboratively to support the wider team.

You will manage the administration of the learning programme in planning, member booking systems, reporting and aiding and advising colleagues within the team and across the organisation. In addition, you will line manage our admin colleagues within the team.

This is a varied and demanding role that will put you at the forefront of ensuring that the RCN's members have the influence in the workplace - and the world - that they need.

The person

To join us you'll need experience of providing administrative and PA support at a senior level.

You'll be able to demonstrate a record of being able to prioritise workloads, meet demanding deadlines and manage the work of others.

Do you have a passion for saving nature in the South West of England? This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the next phase of Nature South West (NSW)-a bold regional initiative accelerating large-scale nature recovery through collaboration, technical support, and investment readiness.

Hosted by the RSPB, and funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Project Manager will coordinate partners, manage the creation of investable propositions, engage with funders, oversee communications and events, and secure further funding. The ideal candidate will have experience in green finance, nature recovery policy, and multi-stakeholder project delivery. Due to the breadth of the work, the job will be exciting and varied, with a real opportunity to make a big difference to nature.

About Nature South West

The South West of England is rich in natural resources and has the potential to lead the UK in green technologies and nature-based solutions. Its economy is deeply intertwined with the health of its ecosystems, supporting industries like agriculture, tourism, fishing, and renewable energy.

However, the region is under significant pressure from the climate and biodiversity crises, which threaten both its environment and economy. Nature is often overlooked in financial decision-making, and restoration efforts are typically short-term and underfunded.

Nature South West (NSW) has emerged to fill this critical gap. Acting as a regional bridge between local delivery partners and large-scale funders, NSW will bring together expertise and project opportunities to define shared priorities for nature recovery. These priorities will be shaped into investible propositions that meet environmental, economic, and social needs, enabling projects to attract broader and more sustained funding.

NSW is initially focusing on two of the South West’s most vital natural systems: rivers and wetlands, and coastal and marine habitats. These landscapes are not only rich in biodiversity but also critical to the region’s resilience-supporting clean water, carbon storage, flood protection, and local livelihoods. By convening partners, sharing expertise, and championing investible nature recovery opportunities, NSW is positioning the South West as a national leader in nature-based solutions and unlocking new pathways for public and private investment.

Key areas of work will include:

• Responsibility for all aspects of project coordination and delivery of the Nature South West Project Plan, activities and outputs.
• Manage the project budget ensuring that necessary changes are escalated and approved.
• Engaging with stakeholders
• Identify, record, manage and communicate risks and issues, putting in place appropriate contingency actions where required.
• Managing the procurement and contractor tendering process for evaluation, website design/delivery and green finance specialist.
• Managing and overseeing consultants & contractors.
• Reporting and claiming - produce the relevant project documentation to meet the requirements of the RSPB, The National Lottery Heritage Fund, our partners and other funders.

What we need from you:

We’re seeking a dynamic and adaptable individual who can lead a complex programme with confidence and clarity.

Essential skills and experience:

• Energy, enthusiasm, and adaptability to deliver a multi-faceted programme on time and on budget
• Experience in project management, event coordination, and/or communications
• Proven ability to work independently and take initiative
• Experience delivering large-scale, complex projects or programmes
• Knowledge of green finance, particularly in securing blended finance for large-scale environmental projects with co-benefits
• Experience with procurement, tendering, and contractor management
• Understanding of nature recovery priorities in policy and legislation, and how they apply in the South West
• Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver complex projects; knowledge of South West partners is desirable
• Experience writing business cases or funding bids, and overseeing project delivery and reporting
• Excellent communication skills and a well-organised approach to work

Additional Information

• This is a 24-month Full-Time role for 37.5 hours per week which is funded through the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the Nature South West programme.
• Reports to: The RSPB, with operational guidance provided by the Nature South West Board, comprising representatives of Natural England, the Environment Agency, National Trust, Blackdown Hills National landscape, NFU, Devon Wildlife Trust, Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Nature Partnership.

SIA has a large and established portfolio of charitable trusts and foundations funding our vital services for people affected by spinal cord injury. 

We are looking for a proactive, motivated individual to coordinate the trusts team activity. You will work alongside another part-time trusts and grants coordinator and jointly supervise the trusts and grants officer. 

As trusts and grants coordinator you will work with staff across the organisation to submit persuasive bids, grow and diversify our portfolio of funders, and strengthen our relationships with donors. 

Key areas of responsibility include: 

• Coordinate SIA’s trust fundraising activity by maintaining and developing a portfolio of trusts 
• Identify funding opportunities and develop compelling bids to maximise income raised from charitable trusts and foundations 
• Administer stewardship activities to grow our network of trusts to be financially, actively, and emotionally engaged with SIA

The Role

In September 2024, National Numeracy launched a new ‘Schools & Families Programme’ to support primary schools to increase pupils’ confidence with numbers, positive feelings about maths, and awareness of the value of maths outside the classroom. The programme also works to improve parents’, carers’ and school staff’s own confidence with numbers and supporting children with their maths. The programme has been hugely successful and is growing rapidly, supporting over 400 schools each year.

National Numeracy are now looking to expand this work into secondary schools across the UK.

The Schools & Families Officer will support the Schools & Families Programme Manager in managing fast-paced activity across the UK, including helping to deliver online training directly to school staff, recruiting schools, and visiting selected schools to ensure the success of the programme. The Schools & Families Officer will also support with the design and delivery of the new programme in secondary schools.

We are looking for someone who can support with this dynamic activity, is flexible, able to manage their time effectively, and willing to adapt to the changing needs of the charity. National Numeracy has an office in Falmer, near Brighton, in East Sussex, but the expectation for this role is that you will be primarily based at home, travelling occasionally as needed across the UK.

Oversee the full production cycle of the quarterly Together prayer guide

• Together is LCM’s quarterly prayer guide, sent to thousands of supporters and used daily within the mission. It is a key point of connection between supporters and missionaries, shaping how people pray for gospel work across London.

Plan and oversee the weekly LCM online prayer meetings

• Every Tuesday evening, supporters from across the UK and beyond meet on Zoom to hear from a missionary and pray for gospel work. These online meetings have become a valued community, especially for those who cannot easily meet missionaries in person.

Support missionaries in engaging their supporters more effectively

• Missionaries rely on communities of Christians who pray, encourage, and give. Their LCM web pages help supporters understand their ministry and stay connected. The Communications Officer helps ensure these profiles are compelling, accurate, and regularly refreshed, supporting missionaries in presenting their work clearly and confidently.

Create fresh content for LCM’s communications channels

• LCM provides practical, frontline insights to equip Christians in sharing their faith, especially with marginalised communities. Throughout the year, the Communications Officer contributes written content — producing blogs, stories, and practical guidance that support and encourage believers, alongside social media content that helps extend reach.

Lead occasional cross team communications projects

• The Communications Team supports the wider organisation, regularly producing promotional materials for teams such as Training, Church Partnerships, and Supporter Partnerships.

Contribute creative ideas to shape communications and marketing content

• The Communications and Marketing Team is collaborative, creative, and committed to inspiring Christians across the UK! The Communications Officer contributes actively to idea generation — taking part in brainstorms, workshops, and planning sessions to help develop fresh, engaging approaches for external audiences.

The successful candidate will be a committed, prayerful evangelical Christian, with:

• At least 2 years' experience in a communications or marketing role (ideally with churches or church-based charities), delivering a range of integrated marketing and communications activities to engage different audiences.
• Strong grasp of branding principles and techniques and how to apply these in communications and marketing work.
• Ability to work proactively using own initiative, prioritise work and meet deadlines, with well-developed time management skills.

This is a part-time role (0.4 FTE) with an expectation to work 2 days per week (16 hours per week), and a minimum of 1-day in the office per week. The position is a maternity cover position and will be offered on the basis of a 12-month fixed-tern contract.

The role of Interim Head of Fundraising

This is an exciting interim (9-12 month) opportunity for a strategic and people focused leader to head up our Fundraising team and help drive meaningful change for people affected by digestive conditions.

This role is primarily focused on strengthening and scaling voluntary income and leading our fundraising team and activities.  The postholder will also shape the future fundraising operating model and support a smooth transition to a permanent fundraising lead.

​You’ll be responsible for leading our small and growing fundraising team delivering exceptional supporter care, ensuring high quality service and operational delivery.  With our Chief Executive, you'll develop and implement strategies to support fundraising growth, team performance, and supporter engagement and satisfaction.  You'll work collaboratively across the charity. 

This is a hands-on role suited to a highly experienced fundraising lead who enjoys working with a growing and developing charity.

Hours & Salary range

We are looking for someone to work full-time, or a minimum of 4 days (or 30 hrs) per week. We will consider self-employed candidates for the role but this is subject to appropriate experience. Please stipulate clearly in your covering letter if you are applying on this basis.

Salary range is £65 - £68k (+£2k London weighting) to be calculated pro-rata for anyone looking to work reduced hours. Salary offers will be based on experience. 

Location

We have offices in London and Huddersfield, both of which are easily accessible by public transport or road. We support hybrid working but attendance in the chosen office is required for a minimum of 1 day per week.

Finance Administrator – Job Description

Reports to: Treasurer
Direct reports: N/A
Location: Hybrid with at least one day a week at the Power Up North London office
Contract: Part time (15 hours a week)
Salary: £12,000 per annum (pro-rata, based on 15 hours a week)

Role Purpose

Power Up North London is a leading community energy organisation delivering renewable energy, energy efficiency and retrofit projects that directly benefit community groups and public buildings. The Finance Administrator is responsible for financial management and integrity of Power Up North London’s financial operations. This role will deliver accurate financial and management reporting, budget tracking and oversight of finance processes including cashflow management, invoicing, payments, and associated controls.

Working closely with the Board and external finance partners, the postholder will provide the financial insight and control needed to support decision-making, maintain funder confidence, and enable sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

Financial Management and Governance

· Maintain oversight of Power Up North London ’s financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity across all financial processes

· Prepare monthly management accounts for internal review and Board reporting

· Support preparation and management of the annual budget

· Track income and expenditure against the approved budget, identifying and explaining variances

· Tracking of grant and project income and expenditures against budget

Billing and Revenue Assurance

· Ensure timely billing and effective debtor management

· Identify and flag billing discrepancies for sites

· Support investigation and resolution of issues to ensure accurate income collection

Cashflow and Treasury Management

· Manage cashflow and maintain accurate cashflow forecasts

· Reconcile bank accounts fortnightly and track cash movements

· Monitor invoicing timeliness and payments disbursements to support effective cashflow management 

Performance Monitoring and Financial Modelling

· Liaise with the Asset Management Team to track financial performance of solar sites and projects against forecasts

· Support analysis of income and expenditure, highlighting risks and opportunities

· Assist in pricing of electricity for new sites and checking financial assumptions and modelling

External Finance Coordination

· Work effectively with Share energy (Power Up North London’s outsourced finance provider)

· Liaise on accounting, reporting, and financial queries, ensuring timely resolution

· Monitor fulfilment of service level agreements  

Financial Controls

· Ensure adherence with Power Up North London’s financial processes and controls

· Implement controls relevant to payments in / out, grants management and bank reconciliations

Shareholder Register Maintenance  

· Maintain internal record of shareholder capital outstanding and member capital and interest payments due

· Update shareholder register for shareholder actions, redemptions, and new issuances

Our client is a dedicated charity based in Salford and are looking to expand their finance team by recruiting to the new post of Finance Manager. The postholder will lead the finance function, ensuring that robust financial systems, processes and controls are in place to safeguard the organisation and enable informed decision-making.

They will provide high-quality financial insight, maintain the integrity of financial information, and oversee the delivery of accurate and compliant financial operations—including payroll, management reporting and audit preparation.

The Role :

• Produce accurate and timely quarterly management accounts, including all supporting schedules and reconciliations.
