The Communications Manager provides operational leadership for CLAPA's communications delivery, ensuring communications and marketing activity is effectively planned, prioritised and delivered in support of the charity's strategic objectives.
Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, the postholder is responsible for translating the communications strategy into coordinated day-to-day delivery. The role directly manages CLAPA's Communications Officers, embedding effective planning, briefing and workflow processes that enable the team to deliver proactive, creative and high-quality communications.

About the role

Demonstrable experience of setting up a corporate fundraising programme, with a track record of securing five-figure+ relationships and raising income to target.

Strong commercial awareness, with ability to identify and prioritise high-value opportunities.

Who you’ll work with: Your line manager will be the Head of Fundraising. There is also a full-time Fundraising Officer in the team who will provide some support for this role. Where you’ll work: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role, with some travel expected to our London office (near Victoria station) and elsewhere for meetings. Occasional overnight stays may be required. Voice 21 pays all travel and accommodation expenses.

Job Purpose
To support and grow Brum Unitarians through operational management, project delivery, administration, compliance and revenue generation. Key Responsibilities
Community Partnerships & Projects
Lead the planning and delivery of community projects and partnerships.
Build relationships with community, voluntary, faith and public sector organisations.

Marketing & Income Generation
Promote the building for hire through the website, social media, advertising and online booking systems.

Volunteer Coordination
Recruit, induct and support volunteers.

Building Operations
Ensure the building is safe, welcoming and well maintained.
Oversee compliance with health and safety, safeguarding and other regulatory requirements.

Liaise with cleaning contractors.

The Role
As the Digital Fundraising Assistant, you will:
Support the planning, delivery and administration of digital fundraising campaigns and virtual fundraising activities.
Help manage supporter communications across email, social media and other digital channels.
Create and schedule engaging digital content to promote fundraising campaigns and encourage participation.
Provide excellent supporter care, responding to fundraising enquiries and ensuring supporters feel valued throughout their journey.
Assist with digital marketing activity, monitoring campaign performance and identifying opportunities to improve engagement.
