Join our busy Finance Directorate and play a key role in one of the UK’s leading conservation charities. We are expanding our Financial Planning and Reporting Team to support a major Finance Systems Replacement project, and we’re looking for a skilled finance professional to provide high-quality technical management accounting support on a fixed-term basis.

In this role, you will translate complex financial data into clear insights, prepare management information, support month-end processes, and work closely with colleagues across the organisation. You’ll create and discuss system-generated reports with non-finance teams, carry out analysis and forecasting, provide information for audit, support budget holders, and represent finance in stakeholder meetings.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Has experience working with accounting software in medium- to large-sized organisations (familiarity with Open Accounts is a bonus).

Additional Information

• The role can be hybrid within the UK however you may be periodically required to attend our HQ finance office at RSPB HQ in Sandy, Bedfordshire.
• This role may require some infrequent overnight stays away from home, depending on distance from HQ.

About GISF and Protect Aid Workers (PAW)

The Global Interagency Security Forum (GISF) is a member-led NGO network working to strengthen security risk management across the humanitarian and development sectors. With over 150 member organisations, GISF provides resources, convening spaces, and expertise to help keep aid workers safe.

Protect Aid Workers (PAW) is a multi-partner mechanism that supports humanitarian personnel who have experienced serious security incidents while carrying out their work. PAW provides financial assistance and access to legal support to aid workers and their families following critical incidents, including detention, serious injury, kidnapping, or death. The mechanism aims to fill gaps in protection and support where organisational or national systems are insufficient. PAW is delivered through a consortium of partners, including GISF, Legal Action Worldwide, and Protect Humanitarians, and funded by the European Commission.

About the role

GISF is seeking a Communications Manager (0.5 FTE) to lead a high-quality, high-impact communications for the Protect Aid Workers (PAW) initiative, ensuring strong, consistent, and compelling public-facing outputs that amplify the programme’s impact and visibility across partner and audiences. The role will be embedded within the PAW programme, while reporting into the GISF Secretariat under the line management of the Head of Policy and Engagement.

Key responsibilities

Lead on priority PAW communications deliverables, including:

Human stories and case-based communications

• Work closely with PAW case managers to identify suitable stories of aid workers who received support from the PAW mechanism following an incident
• Develop and produce compelling written and visual human stories with consideration of sensitivities
• Translate case learnings into accessible comms products

Design and visual communications

Whole School SEND is expanding its regional teams, and we are looking for experienced SEND leaders to step into seconded Regional SEND Leader positions.

The Regional SEND Leader will continue in their substantive role while contributing the equivalent of one day a week (40 days across the year) to Whole School SEND. This model enables leaders to bring current, real world expertise into the national programme while maintaining their ongoing responsibilities within their home organisation.

Location: This is a hybrid contract. The successful candidate will be expected to work from our London office or attend in-person meetings and host donors at school Final events as required. The remainder of the week can typically be worked remotely, with flexibility as required.

Brief role description ​

The People and Systems Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support to the People Team, with responsibility for recruitment and onboarding of new employees, maintaining accurate employee records, coordinating benefits, and acting as the first point of contact for employee queries. The role holds ownership of HR administration, including the production of HR paperwork, and serves as the day-to-day generalist HR contact for all employees on behalf of the team.​

​In addition, the People and Systems Administrator plays a key role in supporting the implementation of the Charity’s HR strategy and associated projects, providing robust support to the Head of People and the People Team Advisor and wider stakeholders across the organisation. The role requires compliance at all times with company policies, procedures, and prevailing UK employment legislation.​

​The role requires a high level of IT competence and confidence in working with HR systems and digital tools, ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement of people processes. A proactive approach is essential to success in the role, with the postholder expected to anticipate issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and take initiative in managing workloads and supporting the People Team.​

​There is scope for the role to develop over time, depending on the individual’s motivation, capability, and appetite to take on additional responsibility.

Some of your responsibilities as a People and Systems Administrator will include:

• Supporting recruitment activities, including candidate sourcing, coordinating interviews, and assisting with CV and application screening

• Managing onboarding processes and preparing accurate HR documentation for new starters and existing employees

• Maintaining employee records and HR systems, ensuring information is accurate, up to date, and handled confidentially

• Acting as a first point of contact for employee queries, providing clear and professional responses or signposting as needed

• Supporting the People Team with day-to-day administration, reporting, and the preparation of presentations and documents

• Using HR systems and Microsoft tools to support people processes and contribute to the smooth running of the People function

• Identifying issues or improvements in processes and raising them with the People Team where appropriate

We are looking for someone who has:

• A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above

• At least 3 years’ experience in a relevant role

• CIPD Level 3, or a willingness to work towards it.

One of two Outreach and Project Workers pivotal to the delivery of an exciting new Women at Risk (WaR) project which will support women at risk of rough sleeping, homelessness and exploitation. Working across key areas of Enfield and Haringey you will, through a combination of nighttime outreach and daytime service provision, be critical to supporting a coordinated response across multiple agencies already engaged in this work.

You will undertake at least twice weekly nighttime outreach, support additional services and existing outreach provision and develop a daytime offer that meets the needs of women engaged through outreach and identified as at high risk of harm and homelessness.   

You will have responsibility for a caseload of women identified through outreach, referral and presentation at ours and other services. You will provide advocacy, casework support and connection and referral into other agencies which can help them address their needs.
