About the team
The Brand and Strategic Communications team is a strategic, collaborative and creative function focussed on driving WaterAid’s advocacy, engagement and fundraising objectives. We lead the development of brand and communications strategies to inspire audiences and support organisational goals, working closely with colleagues across the Communications and Fundraising directorate and with external partners.
About the role
As our communications Manager, you will manage the delivery of communications strategies for corporate partnerships working closely with WaterAid’s Communications and Fundraising directorate and key partners to drive sustainable change.
In this role, you will:
- Manage the delivery of WaterAid’s corporate partnership marketing communications strategy to maximise influence and income-raising potential from the private sector.
- Lead a cross-functional delivery group and collaborate across WaterAid’s Communications and Fundraising directorate to deliver integrated corporate advocacy and partner communications activities, primarily targeting a private sector audience.
- Act as the primary communications contact for partnership managers, advising on communications opportunities, strategic messaging, content and tactics that deliver value for WaterAid and partners.
- Champion in-sight led and on-brand messaging and creative which resonates with target audiences.
- Advise on best use of project budget to meet objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of communications activity, fostering a proactive and positive approach to learning and improvement within delivery teams.
- Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.
Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Demonstrable experience in developing, leading and executing high impact communications strategies for corporate partnerships, ideally for a non-profit organisation.
- Expertise in business-to-business or corporate advocacy communications, and an understanding of trends in corporate sustainability and social responsibility.
- Experience working in, or in partnership with, the private sector, advising on communications approaches to engage a range of audiences and delivering communications plans with shared objectives.
- Highly collaborative and able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent time management skills, able to drive projects forward while navigating competing priorities.
- Ability to generate and develop creative and innovative ideas, with a good eye for brand, design, film and photography.
Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- Experience of international development issues and/or working in the voluntary sector in a communications role.
- An understanding of the ethical issues surrounding communications for international development.

This important role supports the operational delivery of the charity’s busy events programme and supports the team and running the office.
The events programme is diverse - from drinks receptions and report launches to events at agricultural shows across the UK - and support on administration for the wider charity, including some communications activity. Through these events, we drive awareness of our work supporting family farms and rural communities. In doing so we also garner support from funders to tackle the issues facing the countryside, ensuring our work reaches a diverse audience to raise awareness.
Under the direction of the Head of External Affairs, and with support of the wider staff team, you will be responsible for coordinating and running all the charity’s events, including full administrative support, booking venues, the invitation process and guest lists, organisation of collateral (including marketing and promotional information), catering arrangements and researching and inviting speakers. You will be also ensuring effective follow-up to each event such as wider dissemination of event content, evaluation, and reporting.
Working on events will account for approximately 75% of the role. The remaining time will be spent working across the charity undertaking a variety of administrative tasks. This will include supporting the team with mailings, coordination of specific activities and some general office management. Whilst reporting to the Head of External Affairs, this role will work closely with several team members, particularly the Executive Support & Governance Manager, providing a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of different aspects of the charity’s work.
What we are looking for
This is an important role, and we’d like you to have a sound working knowledge of end-to-end event management and office experience within a charity or other professional environment. SEO
- Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive website traffic.
- Conduct keyword research, on-page optimisation and technical SEO audits.
- Monitor, analyse and report on SEO performance.
Paid Media
- This is a vital and rapidly growing area for the charity, and this role will manage all paid-for digital marketing, including lead generation and acquisition (Meta, Google, etc.).
- Create advertising campaigns and ensure effective tracking, monitoring, improvements, evaluation, and reporting of campaigns.
- Oversee our Google Ads grant (PPC) and (CRO) Google Tag Manager.
- Manage our main Google Ads account and launch Search, Display, and YouTube advertising for our digital-first Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month campaign.
- Deliver detailed advertising reporting using Looker Studio or other similar digital dashboards.
Digital content
- Manage and maintain the content calendar, including planning and scheduling content that aligns to both Pancreatic Cancer Action and project objectives.
- Create and manage the sourcing of high-quality content for blogs, website pages, social media posts, email content and for all other digital channels.
- Write, edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment to Pancreatic Cancer Action’s Text and Brand Guidelines.
- Create engaging design assets for use across all digital channels, including video and animation.
- Responsibility for pixels and unique identifiers for analytics.
Social media
- Work with the Head of Marketing and Communications to develop a social media strategy and set goals to increase brand awareness and engagement.

Our client, a renowned young person's homeless charity based across East Surrey, is currently seeking an experienced Housing Support Manager to oversee a dedicated team of housing officers in supporting a variety of vulnerable young people with complex needs. This role will be based onsite in Redhill 4 days a week (one day working from home).
Reporting to the Head of Housing, the Housing Support Manager will manage a team of 7 housing officers, who in turn will oversee a small caseload of vulnerable young people (aged 16-21), supporting and empowering them to gain independence. The role will be based at the charity’s 44-bed hostel in Redhill but will also have oversight of 4 other smaller properties in the nearby area (up to 75 beds in all). As Housing Support Manager, you will manage and ensure compliance within the Housing Support Act (2023), as well as managing support service contracts to achieve contractual obligations, including regular report writing. The role will also be also responsible for overseeing and maintaining health and safety, safeguarding, fire safety and resident wellbeing standards.
To apply for this role, you will have demonstrable experience of overseeing housing support services for vulnerable people and will have significant experience of overseeing teams of frontline support staff. You will be a confident communicator, skilled at building relationships both internally and externally. About the role
Sitting within our people and organisational development team and reporting into the senior learning & organisational development manager, you’ll support us with a wide range of administrative duties across the learning & development; people; equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and internal communications & engagement functions.
As the first point of contact for all learning management system (LMS) user and administrative queries you’ll maintain and housekeep our LMS as well as help coordinate and administer internal and external training programmes, workshops and learning events. The postholder will ensure timely, accurate and compliant financial accounting, reporting, and donor compliance, while supporting strong financial management across the wider programme portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Lead on the financial management, planning and reporting of a multi-country project, ensuring transactions are accurate and compliant with donor and organisational requirements.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost recovery and co-financing, and maintain up-to-date financial data in grant management and tracking systems.
- Prepare and deliver timely internal and donor financial reports, ensuring consistency between internal records and external submissions.
- Monitor project and portfolio expenditure, analysing variances and providing actionable insights to senior management and programme teams.
- Strengthen financial controls and compliance frameworks, including development of tools, manuals and checklists to ensure adherence to donor and internal policies.

Requirements
- Qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) with experience managing finances for complex, large-scale donor-funded projects; experience working with UN Agencies and the World Bank is highly desirable.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, grant management and donor reporting; familiarity with institutional donor requirements highly desirable.
- Proven experience in financial controls, audit preparation, and compliance for multi-grant, multi-country programmes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; able to build effective relationships across diverse teams and cultures.
- Proficient in Excel and financial systems, with strong numeracy and attention to detail.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.

About the Role
UR4Driving supports individuals who have experienced the criminal justice system, or are at risk of entering it, to gain their driving licence, rebuild confidence, and move towards independence. The driving licence is a powerful tool, opening access to employment, structure and self-worth.
As our Employment & Training Co-ordinator, you will be embedded within the UR4Driving team, helping participants make the most of their progress by supporting them into meaningful volunteering, training, or employment. Many of our participants face significant barriers including chaotic lifestyles, trauma histories, long-term unemployment, poor digital literacy, and limited formal education. This role is about building trust,offering practical support, and creating pathways that are realistic, motivating and sustainable.
You will offer a blend of structured 1:1 guidance and group workshops, developing individual action plans, and linking participants to volunteering and job opportunities. You’ll also work closely with other staff and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to support.

1. Client Support & Employability Delivery
- Deliver 1:1 support to all UR4Driving participants, including two mandatory employment sessions per client

YOUR PURPOSE
To research, develop and secure funding, projects and opportunities that deliver DMWS’s charitable objectives and to support ongoing stakeholder management to ensure positive relationships.
This involves researching and applying for funding and contract tender opportunities to support the armed forces community and other frontline services. This will include Trusts and Foundations, corporate partnerships and tenders with organisations that include the military, police, NHS, Fire service and other organisations with frontline roles.
The aim is to secure funds and opportunities to support DMWS beneficiaries and to increase DMWS footprint.
The role will also require report writing to present evidence of DMWS delivering effective value for money and positive impacts for our beneficiaries in line with the funder’s requirements. An ability to also promote our outcomes through case studies and social media posts would also be advantageous.
Travel will be required and some occasional overnights stays can be required.

Since its founding in 1994, EMERGENCY has worked in 21 countries around the world, providing free medical care in accordance with its core principles of equality, quality and social responsibility. We do this in a sustainable way: by building healthcare facilities, training local personnel, and conducting search and rescue missions in the Mediterranean Sea.
As an affiliate, EMERGENCY UK has set out an exciting ambition to build on its success over the last three years. This includes a substantial growth in its income, with a particular focus on high value giving from philanthropists, trusts and other private donors. The aim is to implement the newly developed high value fundraising strategy, with a view to tripling current income levels from this source by securing high five and six figure gifts of both unrestricted and restricted income.
The purpose of the Development Manager is to build and maintain a portfolio of high value donors and prospects through proactive networking, identifying cultivation opportunities and thoughtful stewardship. With a focus range of £100,000 and above, the position will develop long-term, strategic partnerships with existing and potential high value supporters, where relationships and their impact will be measured from both a financial and non-financial perspective.
The postholder must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a high degree of lateral thinking within a small but hard-working team.
Main activities:
1) To raise funds in the form of high value gifts (focusing on £100,000 and above) through a variety of methods, including regular face-to-face meetings, attending conferences and participating in other activities by implementing a comprehensive programme to identify, research, cultivate and solicit high value donors who have the potential for significant, multi-year giving.
In this context, the postholder will be required to spend a considerable amount of the working week out of the office travelling and meeting in person with potential donors and their representatives.
2) To manage and develop meaningful donor relationships, including with existing donors, by utilising a wide range of methods, including stewardship events and networking amongst existing donors and their contacts.
3) To actively participate in the implementation of the current high value fundraising strategy, leading change and adjusting plans based on experience and realistic assessments in order to meet pre-agreed targets. Person specification:
- Senior level experience working with foundations, corporates, high and ultra-high net worth individuals, leading them from identification to giving annual and multi-year gifts at the high five and six-figure level
- Experience of working independently to identify and cultivate prospects and influencers who have the ability to make personal introductions to high and ultra-high net worth individuals
