Purpose of the role:

The Part-Time Fundraiser will lead on developing and delivering early-stage fundraising activity for BCEF, helping to secure income from a range of sources including trusts and foundations, individual donors, corporate partners, and events.

This role suits a proactive, experienced, organised fundraiser who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities, and working closely with a board of trustees in a growing organisation, recognising, understanding and promoting its primary objects.

Fundraising Strategy & Development

• Support the development and delivery of a realistic and sustainable fundraising plan
• Identify and research funding opportunities aligned with the Foundation mission

Trusts, Foundations & Grants

• Research and apply to relevant trusts, foundations, and grant-makers
• Draft high-quality funding applications, proposals, and reports

• Support the development of individual giving and corporate fundraising opportunities

Now we're looking for a Head of Fundraising who wants to build something, not just manage it.

Why now

Having recently completed a full fundraising review, the groundwork is now laid for future income growth. We have mapped donor journeys and embedded KPI and ROI reporting embedded across the team. What's missing is someone to take the baton and run.

You'll join as a major campaign is moving toward launch, backed by a completed feasibility study and serious clinical sponsorship, plus an ongoing capital appeal for the hospital's Mako robotic arm. This isn't a blank page; it's a campaign ready to be brought to life by the right person.

What we're looking for

Someone who genuinely loves philanthropy fundraising, who's energised by building relationships with major donors, not just managing a team that does. Strategic enough to shape where the charity goes next; hands-on enough to be in the room making the ask.

You'll lead a small team of four, working closely with the CEO as part of the Senior Management Team, and operate in a genuinely collaborative partnership with the hospital. You'll be comfortable navigating complex internal stakeholder relationships, influencing senior colleagues, and resilience and an entrepreneurial instinct will go a long way.

• A track record of personally securing major gifts and building long-term donor relationships

• Experience developing (not just delivering) a fundraising strategy, ideally in a small team

Senior Surveyor – Property Services

We are looking for an experienced Senior Surveyor to join an established Property Services team, leading the delivery of high-quality responsive repairs across the housing portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong surveyor with experience in social housing to play a key role in supporting a team of Surveyors, driving service improvements, resolving complex repair issues and ensuring residents receive an outstanding customer experience.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Property Manager, you will provide technical leadership and support to the Responsive Repairs team, ensuring repairs are accurately diagnosed, delivered within agreed timescales and completed to a high standard.

You will work closely with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders to manage complex repair cases, disrepair matters and building defects while ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing technical guidance to Surveyors on complex repairs, building defects and diagnostic solutions.

What you'll do:
* Support the Area Service Manager to drive business planning activities within your contract, ensuring relevant and challenging objective setting and ongoing performance tracking, developing turn around action plans as may be necessary
* Support the Area Service Manager, using sound financial and accounting principles, manage contract budgets to deliver on corporate and local contract financial targets
* Successfully lead and motivate the team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
* Work to continuously improve staff competence, ensure ownership of all staff issues and speedy and effective conflict resolution
* Responsible for reporting all staff changes to HR and Payroll departments, as appropriate e.g. starters, leavers, additional hours etc.
* Supporting Area Service Manager in maintaining quarterly staff succession plans

Terms

• Permanent, Part-Time contract
• Up to 4 days (30 hours) per week
• £35k to £40k pro rata, depending on experience
• Annual leave 25 days pro rata, plus 8 days bank holiday pro rata
• The role can be based at Woodlands Church in Clifton, Bristol or delivered remotely, with occasional in person meetings by arrangement.
