We are looking for an experienced Bereavement Counsellor, with an interest in spirituality, to provide high-quality clinical assessments and individual bereavement support for adults needing to access our Bereavement Service.

This key role will play a significant part in enabling us to deliver our commitment to holistic, person-centered care and develop our Bereavement Service.

About You:

You will be a qualified counsellor, with a strong understanding of the theories of bereavement and significant loss, insight into human development and at least two years’ post-qualification experience.

Skilled in conducting clinical assessments and providing culturally sensitive, empathic, non-judgmental, bereavement counselling for adults (in-person and via electronic media), your calm, professional approach will complement your excellent interpersonal skills.

About the Role

The Senior Partnerships Officer (SPO) will work closely with the Chief Executive (CEO) and Fundraising Lead (FL) to ensure the charity has sufficient funding to achieve its mission. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 

The Associate Solicitor will conduct civil litigation in Britain and oversee cases in England and Wales. The role requires a qualified solicitor with experience of running litigious cases. We are seeking to expand our work in Britain to include civil discrimination claims, actions against the state, and media law work. The post-holder will have particular expertise in one or more of these areas. Our cases also involve data rights, freedom of information, charity law, education law, international humanitarian law, and defamation issues. The post holder will join a growing team that consists of a Senior Legal Officer, Legal Officer and a Junior Legal Officer. Duties and Responsibilities 

• Conduct civil litigation and advisory casework in Britain alongside our legal team and legal network. Provide expert legal advice and representation, to individual clients and movement partners.

• Develop and advance new legal strategies for challenging state and non-state repression of advocacy for Palestine in consultation with our legal network, national partners and experts.

Required experience, knowledge and skills 

• 3-5 years + post-qualified experience (PQE) and admitted to practise as a solicitor in England and Wales. 
• Experience leading on a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters in civil litigation, particularly actions against the state, media and/or privacy law. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice on complex issues in a comprehensible and appropriate format. 
• An ability to engage with the law critically and develop strategies that serve broader political objectives. Track record of collaborating well with other lawyers, academics and civil society organisations. 
• Excellent client care skills, particularly in relation to vulnerable or marginalised clients. 
• Experience in a role which requires coordination of multiple projects and/or workstreams concurrently, and the ability to manage relationships with partner organisations, coalitions and counsel. 
• High level of English-language proficiency. 
• Commitment to the Palestinian liberation and solidarity movement.

The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team in the Resources directorate, providing key financial support to business units within the Development team and our trading subsidiary Clio Enterprises Limited (Clio), whose primary purpose is venue sales in regard to our premises, 10-11 Carlton House Terrace.

The role

The Finance Business Partner role works closely with other members of the Finance team and in particular business partnering with colleagues from Venue Sales and Development. The Finance Team is a friendly team, part of the Academy’s Resources Directorate comprising Finance, HR, IT and Facilities along with Clio. We take great pride in supporting our colleagues in the Academy, providing an accurate and prompt service to all customers to the department. This is a key opportunity to establish relationships and make an early positive impact.

A core duty of the role is to take the lead in financial management and reporting for both Clio and the Development team. This will include:

• Providing financial analysis and advice and working with colleagues from each team to monitor performance, return on investment, and achieve key financial targets,
• Supporting milestone tasks such as budgeting, forecasting and financial statements.

You will have previous experience of working within a finance team in a similar role with an accounting qualification (AAT or similar) being preferable. The Role

To provide high-quality, person-centred support and housing management services to residents living within Causeway's Mental Health Needs Service. Residents accessing this service experience moderate to high mental health needs, which may include enduring mental illness and periods of crisis. This role is available on a 6 month fixed term contract. The working hours for this role is 35 hours per week Monday-Friday. The Service

We support adults living with moderate to severe mental health conditions, many of whom have experienced trauma, social exclusion, homelessness, substance misuse or other complex needs. Some residents may present with behaviours associated with their mental health, including heightened anxiety, emotional dysregulation, suicidal ideation, self-neglect or periods of crisis. The successful candidate must be comfortable working within these settings.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled facilitator with strong experience in adult social care (or a related sector, e.g. housing, homelessness, mental health or criminal justice) who is motivated to make a real impact. While the role requires a solid understanding of research and its application, it is not a primary research post—the focus is on translating evidence into meaningful learning and development opportunities.

You will play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality learning experiences, including programmes, full-day workshops, webinars, and events, working with diverse audiences such as senior leaders and practitioners.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and delivering engaging learning and development activities for a range of audiences
• Translating complex research, policy, and legal frameworks into accessible, practical learning
• Developing high-quality learning outputs (e.g. workshops, programmes, webinars)

We are looking for someone who brings:

• In-depth knowledge of adult social care, or related sectors such as criminal justice, housing and homelessness, or mental health

• A strong understanding of research, policy, and practice frameworks
• Skills in knowledge mobilisation, with a passion for co-production and evidence implementation
• Proven experience in relationship management
• Excellent communication skills, including confident public speaking
• Understanding of learning theory and its application
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work flexibly (including occasional travel and overnight stays)
