The role

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Energy Adviser to support households across London.

You will provide trusted one-to-one energy advice, help clients navigate complex energy issues, deliver group awareness sessions and support NEA’s wider community engagement work. Regular travel across London is required using NEA’s Mobile Advice Centre, so a full current driving licence is essential.

Senior Surveyor – Property Services

Location: Southgate, London
Salary: £58,000 – £65,000 + Benefits

We are looking for an experienced Senior Surveyor to join an established Property Services team, leading the delivery of high-quality responsive repairs across the housing portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong surveyor with experience in social housing to play a key role in supporting a team of Surveyors, driving service improvements, resolving complex repair issues and ensuring residents receive an outstanding customer experience.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Property Manager, you will provide technical leadership and support to the Responsive Repairs team, ensuring repairs are accurately diagnosed, delivered within agreed timescales and completed to a high standard.

You will work closely with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders to manage complex repair cases, disrepair matters and building defects while ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing technical guidance to Surveyors on complex repairs, building defects and diagnostic solutions.

• Supporting and developing the Responsive Repairs team to deliver a consistent, customer-focused service.

Role Purpose

Responsible for helping to ensure the effective delivery of the Regional Fundraising strategy in relation to generating sustainable income from third parties and campaigns. You will primarily focus on recruiting support from community groups and associations, businesses and individuals across the North as well as supporting the growth and diversity of the challenge events portfolio.

Context and Background

The NSPCC’s mission is to end cruelty to children by fighting for every childhood. The Associate Head of Mass Participation Fundraising is a member of the Supporter Led Fundraising Leadership Team and the Philanthropy & Partnerships Department. The role contributes to the overall leadership and management of the team and department as well as implementing the fundraising plans and strategies for the Engagement & Fundraising Directorate.

Mass Participation Fundraising is an important component in the NSPCC’s Engagement and Fundraising strategy. The post holder will lead and develop a first-class team to develop our portfolio, engaging and deepening the relationship with participants into long-term supporters and optimising the fundraising income they generate.

A key element of the role is to provide leadership across a diverse team, which includes Third Party Events, DIY fundraising and Schools Fundraising. Leading River Action's Campaigns Team, you will shape the organisation's campaigning strategy, ensuring our work is innovative, evidence-led and designed to influence public opinion, hold polluters to account and secure meaningful political and systemic change. You'll create campaigns that connect compelling storytelling with community mobilisation, strategic communications, political advocacy, legal action and partnerships, ensuring every part of our work contributes towards our mission to rescue the UK’s rivers.

You'll provide strategic leadership across the full campaign lifecycle, overseeing campaign planning, delivery, budgeting, resourcing and evaluation. You'll ensure our campaigns are informed by robust evidence, guided by clear objectives and measured against meaningful outcomes, using insight and learning to continually strengthen our impact.

The successful candidate will provide cross-departmental support and administrative support for our small team. There is real scope for the candidate to shape the role and gain experience from involvement in various organisational projects. Contract

Permanent; 3 days (21 hrs per week). We will be flexible on hours worked each day and the days worked e.g. splitting 21 hours over four or five days.

Salary

£16,817 (£28,028 FTE). First Give is committed to paying the London Living Wage.

Location

Hybrid, in our North West London office with one day per week at home. We can be flexible regarding the specific days, but these will be fixed once agreed.

Annual leave

20 days annual leave (inclusive of 5 pro-rated bank holiday days).

London Role

Working across all London Prisons, and community Health Justice programmes, to ensure that lived experience of those usig the services is at the heart of the decision making processses,  This role will require significant travel, which is fully reimbursable, so flexibility is essential.

Peterborough Role

You’ll work directly across our Prison Councils in both male and female sides of HMP Peterborough, as well as a range of community‑based projects regionally, and occasionally national.This role will require significant travel, which is fully reimbursable, so flexibility is essential

North West Role

You’ll work directly across our Prison Councils in HMP Altcourse and HMP Forest Bank, as well as a range of community‑based projects regionally, and occasionally national.This role will require significant travel, which is fully reimbursable, so flexibility is essential.
