POSITION SUMMARY
The main purpose of this role is to provide day to day support to the management of CARE International’s global platforms (website and social media), monitor performance and support effective and timely communications planning globally. This is an exciting entry level position for those passionate about digital communications and engagement, and its intersection with social justice.
Main Responsibilities: - Key areas of responsibility but not limited to:
Support to Global Digital Platform Management (70%)
· Support the day-to-day management of CARE International Secretariat’s digital platforms including website and social media.
· Producing copy and graphics according to the guidelines agreed with Global Content Manager.
· Editing and uploading content to the CARE International website according to the digital strategy and guidelines set by the Global Content Manager.
· Act as the focal point for contact with the website development agency, overseeing technical upgrades and developments
· Support communications planning including management of a global external calendar with relevant dates and events to guide digital content creation.
· Support the management of social media dashboards and the elaboration of performance analysis with a view to improving outreach and optimizing content.
· Support the knowledge management of relevant materials for the digital content team.
· Actively seek out new trends and opportunities in the digital space.
· Support the Global Content Manager in other activities as required.
Support to Global Communications Working Group Coordination (20%)
· Support the Global Content Manager in implementing global communities of practice and content support.
· Manage internal engagement plan and calendar for communications team, ensuring timely coordination moments, sourcing translations, and setting up technical requirements
Support to Advocacy and Communications Department (10%)
· Work with the Knowledge Management and Learning officer in support of strong internal communications, in alignment with the wider CI Secretariat, using the latest digital technologies to support confederation engagement with the work of the CI Secretariat.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Required
· 1-2 years of experience in website and social media management
· Solid understanding of communications principles and approaches and excellent communication skills
· Experience working with a Content Management System, with an understanding of SEO principles. Knowledge of Drupal a distinct advantage.
· Competent in the use of Canva or similar platforms for social media content production. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, video-editing software, and graphic design skills a distinct advantage.
· Excellent command of the English language. Knowledge of French, Spanish or Arabic a distinct advantage.
Desired
· Experience in digital communications and content production for an international relief or aid organization
· Strong knowledge of CARE's work or work of peer organization
· Project management experience
· Experience with tools and platforms for knowledge management such as Sharepoint, and Microsoft Teams
· Experience in monitoring content performance using analytics tools for social media and web and in ways that have improved performance and audience engagement

We have an opportunity for a Customer Communications Specialist to join the Corporate Affairs Team on a 12 month fixed term basis, working 30 hours a week.
You'll be based from our Basingstoke office, although with offices in Bristol, Christchurch, Exeter and Newbury, we can be flexible on your base location.

The Role
You'll support the business in achieving its priorities through effective customer communications, advising on the right channels and messages to keep SNG's customers informed and engaged.
As a Customer Communications Specialist you'll create, develop, execute and project manage strategic and tactical communication plans. This will involve producing and delivering creative, engaging content and campaigns for our customers through multiple channels, including web, social media, email and SMS, direct mail and more.
It's an exciting time at SNG as we integrate our communications for former Sovereign and former Network Homes customers and establish a Community Foundation. You'll be part of supporting the transformation and change programme as we move forward together.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with key stakeholders, listening to and understanding their communication requirements and providing them with expert support.
- Working to align customer communications with external and internal communications, and with our strategy and values.
- Managing and measuring the effectiveness of our communications, including external benchmarking and best practice.
- Understanding the pressures and issues facing the social housing sector and keeping up to date with best practice in Communications and PR, particularly changes to communications innovation, legislation and codes of practice and sharing this insight with colleagues.
What we're looking for
This position would suit candidates who have previous Customer Communication experience, possibly in a housing association, local authority or similar non-profit organisation.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt your tone and write copy/create campaigns designed to generate a response or change in behaviour.
- Demonstrable experience of producing engaging customer content and campaigns.
- Experience of briefing and working with designers and creatives.
- A good understanding of MS Office packages, including Word, Excel and Publisher.
- Use of email marketing and social media management platforms and tools.
- Experience of working to deadlines and achieving targets through own work and the work of partners.
- Work well within a small team and on your own initiative.
- Be highly organised with a methodical approach.

Rugby foodbank's Engagement Officer will oversee the smooth running and operation of the foodbank, with concern for its operational efficiency and standards in accordance with The Trussell Trust franchise model. In partnership with the Service Delivery Manager, guide the development of the foodbank project, including its material resources, financial assets, reputation, partnerships and volunteer body. The Engagement Officer will have a key role in the delivery and development of Rugby foodbank and the growth of its services. They will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders including volunteers, food and financial donors, partner referral agencies plus community and business groups. The right candidate will be an effective communicator who will work hard to create a positive environment for volunteers, clients, agencies and donors maximising opportunities for engagement.

As a charity, our clients are at the heart of what we do. Although Rugby is a small market town, in 2023 we supported over 190 people at our Day Centre and provided over 7500 foodbank food parcels. Our staff and volunteers are crucial to making this happen. We currently employ 8 members of staff and have 80+ people regular volunteers.
The charity was founded by the churches across the town and continues to hold to Christian principles working to address poverty, primarily homelessness and food poverty in the Borough of Rugby. The churches, as the Revive network, support the work we do both with funding and providing many of our volunteers. Our staff and volunteers support these values and ethos irrespective of belief or background.
We are looking for someone who can work as a flexible team member and with the ability to share and balance duties according to the needs and opportunities of the organisation. You will be an outgoing self-starter who is confident working on their own initiative as well as part of a wider team. Job Description
Lead on service delivery, management and governance
– To provide strong leadership for the service based on a clear vision for the service, clarity of standards and outcomes to be achieved.
– With the Head of CYP support the strategic development, planning and delivery of specialist EWMH services for children and young people ensuring an effective co-ordinated offer for these families is in place.
– To have the primary responsibility for establishing, maintaining and developing consistent and high standards of professional and managerial competence amongst all staff involved in the delivery of EWMH services.
– To provide line management to the Service Managers and named roles above and work with them to ensure they provide an effective service to children, young people and families in Surrey.
– Maintain up to date detailed knowledge of legislation and national policy and to ensure SLT, CYP management team and the service are briefed on changes.
– To have lead responsibility for ensuring EWMH services operates in a way which safeguards children and adults and is fully compliant with safeguarding policy and procedure
– Understand and manage risk and safeguarding issues across the team, being the named lead and providing advice on guidance on all risk and safeguarding issues and escalating cases to DSLs as appropriate.
– To ensure that the health and safety of all families, children, young people, staff and volunteers is properly addressed and enforced through appropriate policies and procedures including risk assessments for all areas and activities
Manage stakeholder engagement and financial integrity

– To work with CEO (Director of SWP) Head of CYP and Head of Finance to agree an annual budget for EWMH services and to play a role in negotiating annual funding settlement through the SWP contract.
– Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure services deliver value for money, within budgets and are evidence based, ensuring that services are rigorously evaluated in terms of quality and outcomes and that they continuously improve and are provided in response to children’s needs.
– Maintain up-to-date and detailed knowledge about and relationships with commissioners of services including but not limited to Surrey CC, Surrey Heartlands ICB and various Borough Councils
– Ensure accurate monitoring and reporting of EWMH service delivery output, outcomes and targets.
– Represent YMCAES EWMH services on a variety of external forums including Surrey Wellbeing Partnership and Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Training and Development
– Ensure the effective Safer Recruitment and retention of EWMH working with HR colleagues and Head of CYP as appropriate.
– Contribute to an in-house training programme for EWMH staff, CYP staff and volunteers, which is also offered to all YMCA East Surrey staff and volunteers and key partners.
– Work with the Head of CYP and HR to develop volunteering, apprenticeship, and traineeship opportunities in EWMH services. –
Attend CYP Advisory Group and Team Meetings and give presentations and input as required.
Buildings and Infrastructure
– Ensure buildings and facilities for the delivery of EWMH services are fit for purpose including the Phoenix Youth Centre reporting to SCC and effective working with statutory and voluntary sector partners with the support of the YMCAES Central Services Facilities team. Provide effective management and support and demonstrate the values and culture of YMCA East Surrey.

– Work with the Head of CYP/Deputy CEO to support the implementation of YMCA East Surrey strategy and Operational Plan.

Annual Leave

In this role you will:

People to Places is a charitable organisation based in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, UK. It provides a community transport service for residents of the area who have transportation and/or mobility issues due to age, sickness or disability (mental or physical), poverty, or because of a lack of adequate and safe public transport services. With a fleet of minibuses specially adapted to assist people with mobility equipment or additional mobility needs, People to Places delivers high-quality services aimed at improving social inclusion and accessibility. In addition, we also provide Shopmobility services in Windsor and Maidenhead town centres, this service provides the loan of wheelchairs and mobility scooters to people with limited mobility, to help them shop and access leisure and commercial facilities within the area.
We’ve been fundraising since 1988, but this newly created role allows you to consolidate our past successes, significantly diversifying and enhancing the quality and value of our supporter base.
As a senior manager in the organisation, this post gives you the opportunity to develop our support for local people who are lonely, isolated and with little or no mobility. Therefore, you will contribute to enhancing the organisation, as well as playing a critical fundraising role.
You are ambitious, with the drive and expertise across a range of fundraising activities. So, you will have:
- Experience with identifying funding opportunities, particularly through grants, maintaining a pipeline of opportunities, taking a creative approach to problem solving, to capitalise on opportunities.
