At Ambitious College, we're looking for a SEND Officer to join our team.
You'll co-ordinate the statutory transition and annual review process at Ambitious College. This includes having responsibility for all planning, facilitation, tracking, quality assurance, follow up, and reporting related to annual and transition reviews. This is circa 80 learners with potential for future growth.
You will be responsible for learners across one of our college campuses and supported internships across the same geographical area. We currently have settings in Southwest London / Outer London and Northeast London / Outer London.
As part of this role, to be the single point of contact for annual and transition reviews for your allocated settings and areas as such work closely with a variety of key stakeholders such as college staff, parents, learners, visitors, and local authorities. Shop Operations

Key objectives of the post

Key areas of responsibility

About the roles
Since 2018, the LRU has grown its membership to over 7,000 renters across London. Through our six branches, we support renters to take action to transform the housing system. Organising in communities, the LRU runs training, facilitates peer support, takes collective action and campaigns on local issues, to grow our power.
The purpose of this role is to support the growth and collective leadership of our branch members in and around the Brent branch or the Newham branch. This work will support the union’s fundamental goal of transforming the housing system, in alignment with our values and strategy agreements. About You
You will be an experienced and approachable HR professional with practical experience across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, policies, people systems and workforce development.
You will be confident supporting managers and employees, providing clear and proportionate HR advice, knowing when issues require escalation, and helping ensure good employment practice across REN, HHU and the Bhip team.
You will be organised, adaptable and comfortable working across the partnership and a developing programme, building effective relationships while recognising the different responsibilities of each employer. You will also be willing to use your wider people, organisational and operational skills to support agreed priorities where capacity allows.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to provide a shared HR and people resource across REN and HHU, supporting both organisations and their joint delivery of the Bhip. as the partnership and its workforce grows and develops.
As a two-day-a-week role, the post also provides scope to contribute your wider skills to people development, organisational systems and agreed operational priorities where HR capacity allows, giving you a varied role while maintaining HR and people support as its core purpose.

Job Purpose
As one of our High Support Needs IDVAs, you will be part of our experienced and dedicated adult team reporting to the HSN IDVA Manager covering the Canterbury District area, and your role will include a mixture of working from Catching Lives homeless centre, community and office working.
You’ll be providing a high-quality, frontline service to survivors of domestic abuse and play a crucial role in advocacy, risk assessment, safety planning and empowerment for our clients with more complex needs. You will assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse which are impacting their situation and help them to regain control of their lives. You will support them to make informed and safe choices and to move forward. You will provide a weekly drop-in at Catching Lives and will co-work with clients as appropriate.
Alongside working with survivors, you will develop and maintain productive relationships with partner organisations to strengthen multi-agency working and improve service outcomes for survivors. As the HSN IDVA, you will provide enhanced casework support to individuals within the EHCF client group, delivering support in community settings, in partnership with agencies such as Porchlight and the RSI team, and remotely via telephone where appropriate.
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for supporting people who is confident, resilient and can build strong relationships.
You will have experience of delivering domestic abuse interventions with survivors, including some whose individual circumstances are more complex. This might include clients with issues such as homelessness, poor mental health or drugs and alcohol use.
The nature of this work and being exposed to survivors’ trauma and challenges can have a negative impact on our own wellbeing as support workers, and therefore good self-awareness and the ability to recognise our own needs and put in place appropriate boundaries is essential. All team members are expected to exercise self-care and attend regular clinical supervision to mitigate the potential impact of vicarious trauma.
As part of our passionate and committed team of approximately 50 staff, our aspiration is that you will thrive and develop in this varied role. You will be contributing to the invaluable work of the Rising Sun and making a lasting difference to the lives of those who are impacted by domestic abuse.

The Welfare Rights & Debt Adviser will:
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have at least one years’ experience delivering both welfare rights advice and debt advice in a relevant setting and be able to understand the wishes and needs of people using mental health services and advocate appropriately on their behalf. They will be able to engage effectively with vulnerable adults and build positive working relationships with professionals across disciplines, have good negotiation, problem-solving and organisational skills. This role will need the ability to prioritise and manage a caseload while meeting agreed case-working standards, targets and service goals, someone who can maintain accurate and comprehensive records on a client management database and someone with a commitment to equal opportunities, diversity, service user empowerment and reliable team working.
