The Baby Hospice transferred to the new charity on May 1st 2025 with great potential for commissioning, and with a healthy financial platform due to the generosity of businesses and the public in Liverpool. This is a new start for Liverpool Zoe’s Place and our plans for a brand new state of the art hospice are agreed and we will move into the new hospice by June 2026, with all the required funding in place.
This post is to manage and co-ordinate the smooth running of the finance department ensuring all processes and procedures are streamlined, efficient and produced in a timely manner. This will involve the management of daily financial matters and overseeing the production of the monthly management accounts for both the hospice and its commercial companies. The role will also involve ensuring good financial governance within the department and across the organisation ensuring charity compliance with financial regulations, and management of commissioning arrangements.

This role will see you working with a variety of businesses, large and small, local, national and event multinational companies across our catchment area. Key Responsibilities
Digital Acquisition and Fundraising

Develop and implement acquisition campaigns and activity to attract new supporters through social platforms, both paid and unpaid, search engine advertising, and email marketing. As well as novel and innovative platforms and opportunities as identified.

Stewardship and Supporter Experience

Maintain a good level of understanding of our supporters' behaviours and motivations to create and implement stewardship content and journeys, feedback and respond to queries and enquiries relevant to IG activity.

Work with the team to ensure all supporters are thanked and updated in an appropriate and timely manner and all interactions and activities are in line with our supporter promise.

Ensure supporter journeys are segmented and personalised wherever possible.

Cultivate deeper engagement with supporters beyond transactional interactions, exploring opportunities for meaningful dialogue, feedback mechanisms, and a sense of community.

Develop and deliver personalised relationship-building communications and initiatives that recognise supporter loyalty and deepen their connection to the impact of their support.

Work with the wider PCR team to maximise opportunities for fundraising and patient impact including via cross selling with different audiences.

Develop engaging supporter communications and assets for all channels, for example email headers, landing pages, social ads – which drive action and deepen engagement with the cause.

Database and Compliance

Hold a good working knowledge of key aspects of data protection law including GDPR and PECR, and the Fundraising Code of Practice.

Work with our tools and seek to improve knowledge and use of these, including but not limited to Access CRM, Fundraise Up, Google Analytics 4 (G4A) and MailChimp.

Skills and Competencies
Our ideal candidate would have the following:

Proven experience in digital acquisition for charity or social cause, or in paid digital marketing or advertising in commercial roles. With demonstrable campaign management experience and expertise setting up and managing campaigns in Meta business suite, Google paid advertising and email marketing.

Evidence of leading successful digital / integrated digital campaigns leading to significant sales/income/lead generation.

The ability to motivate and inspire audiences through content and creative writing and storytelling for digital channels.

The ability to monitor and manage income and expenditure against targets as well as forecast and report on digital campaigns across all channels.

Knowledge and experience of trends and dynamics in digital fundraising (ideally), including audience identification and optimisation strategies including with new technologies like AI tools.

We are seeking an experienced, driven and passionate Head of Public Fundraising to lead the mass fundraising team to achieve sustainable income growth over the coming years. We are looking for someone with energy and ambition, who can demonstrate strategic leadership to maximise fundraising opportunities across Community, Challenge Events, Regular Giving, Legacy and In Memory audiences, to grow our supporter networks and optimise supporter engagement and experience. Leukaemia UK and You
We have recently invested in growing our fundraising team so that we can fund more life-changing research to increase our understanding of leukemia as a disease, and accelerate the development of kinder, more effective treatments. This includes investment to grow the public fundraising team, develop new fundraising products, recruit new supporters, and increase legacy giving through targeted campaigns.
We are also in the process of developing our new 5-year fundraising strategy, so you will be instrumental in creating an ambitious new plan to develop a diverse and sustainable mass fundraising portfolio, covering the key areas of donor acquisition, retention, and growth, with a focus on maximising our Challenge and Community events portfolio, and increasing Legacy, In Memory and Regular giving. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a portfolio of products to grow voluntary income, whilst leading a newly expanded and ambitious team. And you will help shape our data strategy, working with the Head of Digital and other colleagues across the organisation to develop our digital fundraising strategy; embed usage of our CRM and ensure GDPR compliance.

Requirements - Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience of strategic leadership and oversight of a mass fundraising product portfolio.
- Proven experience of managing an engaging Community and Challenge Events fundraising portfolio.
- Proven experience of driving Legacy and In Memory giving to create a robust long-term pipeline. Experience of successfully developing and implementing legacy marketing strategies.
- Proven experience of applying the principles and techniques of Individual Giving / Direct Marketing within a multichannel, multi-discipline environment to deliver significant returns and supporter satisfaction, especially through supporter recruitment channels.
- Experience of fully integrating a CRM database as a tool in the day-to-day work and running of a charity.
- Demonstrable experience of managing a high performing team, focussing on creating a culture where people thrive as individuals and can be their best selves.
- Experience of managing multi-channel media campaigns by utilising print and digital channels including social media and email.

- High Level knowledge of legacy administration.
- High Level knowledge and understanding of charity law in relation to legacy fundraising, GDPR, PECR, data protection and other relevant fundraising regulation.
Role specifics & Benefits
- Hours: Full time hours are 37.5 Monday to Friday
- Location: We are very flexible! Our hybrid working policy is a minimum of two days per month in our London office unless it’s a role requirement to be in more frequently. Typically, we would expect the role holder to be in the office once a week, and certain roles within the team have this as a minimum requirement.

Context and purpose of the role

You will join a small, high-performing team responsible for generating £5 million per year from individual giving, legacies, grants and corporate partners, all to deliver the Ramblers ambition for a future where everyone can enjoy the benefits of walking in nature.
Working closely with the Product & Innovation Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the fundraising strategy, leading on the delivery of our individual giving and legacy marketing campaigns across a range of channels. You will create high-quality, compelling campaign materials and ensure an excellent donor experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Income generation
- Play a key role in the implementation and delivery of the individual giving and legacy marketing strategy
- Support the growth of individual giving income in line with annual targets
- Develop and deliver regular cash and legacy marketing appeals to a high level, including:
- Developing propositions and cases for support
- Create compelling direct marketing materials, including writing persuasive copy and developing strong creative content
- Project management to ensure delivery on schedule and within budget
- Managing relationships with agencies and suppliers including design and print
- Manage a portfolio of affiliate fundraising campaigns
Donor stewardship
- Ensure the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is used effectively to facilitate accurate supporter stewardship and reporting
- Effectively manage communications with supporters, including ensuring that donations are thanked appropriately, managing fundraising inboxes, and responding to queries
- Working with the Production & Innovation Manager, identify a pipeline of potential mid- and high-value donors for stewardship and conversion
Data and reporting
- Produce campaign and programme level reporting and analysis
- Work closely with the data team to ensure selections are accurate, timely and relevant to our various audiences, and use income data to make recommendations for future campaigns
- Maintain accurate, up to date and compliant records of individual giving campaigns and appeals
- Provide regular financial reports and reforecasts to the Product & Innovation Manager and Head of Fundraising
Relationships
- Build strong working relationships with staff within various functions of the Ramblers
- Work with other members of the Fundraising, Communications and Supporter Care teams to ensure that all supporter communications are part of an integrated supporter journey
The Person

Essential:
- Experience working within a target-driven fundraising or direct marketing team, ideally within an individual giving context

The post holder will manage a team of senior IDVAs (2) and IDVAs (4) who provide advocacy services to women experiencing domestic violence and abuse. This role requires the effective management of advocates who will deliver 1:1 advocacy that fulfils the needs of women accessing advocacy services across the boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the Multiagency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The post holder will collaborate with Advance management, external agencies, and key stakeholders to provide consistent and holistic service.

The Benefits Service within South East London Mind is a well-established offer of support to clients who need to access welfare benefits they are entitled to receive. The service currently provides casework support for people who need to challenge benefits decisions across the three boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich. There is also a cross-area team of volunteers who assist with form filling and all aspects of the assessment process.
We are looking for a Benefits Service Manager with significant experience of working within welfare benefits. You will have a good understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems and the links with welfare issues. You will take responsibility for the quality of support the team deliver to ensure it is robust and accountable. We hope to be able to extend our offer of support in the future so it will be important you have an interest in developing the service.
Applicants should have previous experience of thinking strategically to develop a service and of managing a team to deliver the support. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.
