The Role
As Head of Programmes and Impact, you will:

Oversee programme delivery – ensuring our current initiatives, from early years to secondary transition, run smoothly and achieve the best outcomes.

Lead design and development of future programmes that respond to the needs of disadvantaged families across Maritime schools.

Embed impact and evaluation – creating a clear Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework that captures both data and lived experience.

Demonstrate impact – producing reports that inspire funders, inform strategy, and showcase the difference we are making.

Collaborate with stakeholders – from schools and community groups to funders and local authorities, ensuring our work is evidence-based and community-led.

Support fundraising – providing compelling impact evidence to strengthen bids and future funding opportunities.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Partnership Lead and the wider Maritime Academy Trust central team, as well as spending time in our 13 schools to see our programmes in action.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Partnerships and Development to lead and drive our growth, ensuring the long-term sustainability and expansion of our work.

In this role you will be managed by Sebastien De Menthon who is a Philanthropy Manager and joined ClientEarth in 2022, based in London. Sebastien discovered ClientEarth while studying anthropology and law at university. The high-leverage legal approach to achieve tangible progress on the climate and biodiversity crisis was immediately appealing. Since joining ClientEarth as a Philanthropy Officer, Sebastien has progressed to the Philanthropy Manager position where he supports and oversees two members of the Philanthropy Team. He has found that working in the Philanthropy Team has been a fantastic way to support ClientEarth's mission while learning about the world and developing skills in relationship management and communication.
Main Duties
- Actively manage donor relationships across assigned portfolio of largely UK supporters with first class stewardship and reporting to secure renewals and uplifts of approximately £500,000 pa.
- Support with oversight of engagement with supporters ranging from £10,000 - £50,000. Galvanise and coordinate the European Philanthropy team to identify opportunities to uplift giving and ensure all supporters feel valued.
- Develop the pipeline of new donors through effective prospect research, network mapping and connecting with new contacts at external and internal events as a representative of ClientEarth.
- Support the Philanthropy Manager, Philanthropy Lead for Europe and all the Philanthropy Team to create the conditions for success in the European Philanthropy Team. Collaborating with colleagues across Europe inclusively to achieve shared goals and strengthen processes.

The opportunity
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Programme Officer to join our Sector Improvement Team. You’ll play a vital role in helping us deliver the flagship University Mental Health Charter Programme and Award, which supports universities to promote the mental health and wellbeing of their staff and students.
This is a varied and purposeful role, where you’ll provide administrative, logistical, and digital communication support across the programme. From managing bookings and contracts, to coordinating communications and supporting event delivery, your work will help us deliver a high-quality experience to our university members and stakeholders across the UK.

Your key responsibilities

Provide effective administrative and logistical support for the University Mental Health Charter Programme and Award.

Job purpose:
To provide experienced and effective strategic leadership, and operational delivery, of the fundraising and marketing initiatives of The Mix and its trading subsidiary, 127 Trading Ltd, to generate a diverse and sustainable stream of income to enable The Mix to deliver its charitable activities in the years ahead.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic fundraising and marketing professional to develop and execute an ambitious commercial strategy to enable us to provide even greater support to young people in Suffolk.
Background
The Mix Stowmarket Ltd. is an established youth charity working with young people aged 9–25 across Mid Suffolk. With a committed team, a flagship youth centre, and a trading arm, 127 Trading Ltd, operating two cafés, we’re rooted in community impact and innovation.
We exist to inspire, empower, and support young people to build resilience, thrive, and unlock their full potential. Working from our centre in Stowmarket and a second base in Needham Market, we deliver a diverse range of programmes including youth mentoring, alternative education, school-based support, and open-access youth sessions. Alongside our charitable work, we operate a social enterprise trading arm, 127 Trading Ltd, which runs two cafés that provide training and employment opportunities for young people, whilst generating vital income for our work. We have recently appointed our new Chief Executive Officer who takes up post in October 2025. We now seek a strategic and operationally savvy Head of Fundraising and Marketing to support the senior team as they lead The Mix into its next chapter, with prime responsibility to generate a diverse and sustainable stream of income to enable The Mix to deliver its charitable activities in the years ahead.
Overview of the role
As the organisation’s Head of Fundraising and Marketing, you will be an experienced, ambitious, enthusiastic, and dynamic professional, who is passionate about fundraising and maximising income generation.
Working closely with our new CEO and committed trustees and staff, you will develop and implement fundraising and marketing strategies that align to our vision and drive the expansion of our crucial support to young people in Suffolk.
You will have a thorough understanding of planning, organising, and delivering successful fundraising campaigns, initiatives, and events with a strong attention-to-detail. You will be comfortable working at a leadership and strategic level but also unafraid to roll up your sleeves and create bids, funding proposals, and marketing materials.
You will be a natural ambassador, working with the CEO to build partnerships at the local and regional level, and your ambassadorial skills will help raise our profile and leverage our networks and connections.
The Head of Fundraising and Marketing is responsible for the day-to-day marketing and management oversight of The Mix and 127 Trading Ltd and the management of its marketing staff and budgets.

Main Responsibilities
1. Strategic leadership
· Develop and lead the multi-channel fundraising and marketing strategy to meet agreed income targets and support
long-term sustainability for both The Mix and 127 Trading Ltd.
· Work closely with the CEO and Trustees, to align fundraising efforts with the strategic goals of the charity and bring insight into income generation and stakeholder engagement.
· Actively contribute to the senior leadership team, shaping organisational policies and strategic direction, ensuring the integration of fundraising, marketing and operational activities.
2. Fundraising and income generation
· Drive the development of diverse income streams, including major donor fundraising, corporate partnerships, individual giving, legacies, lotteries, community fundraising and events.
· Proactively seek new opportunities to secure long-term, multi-year funding through well-targeted funding applications and corporate proposals.
· Build strong partner relationships with a focus on stewardship, retention, and growth.
· Monitor performance, analyse data, and drive continuous improvement.
· Chair the Fundraising sub-committee and contribute to the Data, Impact and Evidence Action Group
· Responsible for completion of all bids, grants and funding applications and ensuring that funders receive appropriate ongoing feedback.
3. Marketing and communications
· Develop marketing materials and campaigns that effectively communicate the charity’s mission, vision and achievements to various audiences for both The Mix and 127 Trading Ltd.
· Lead the management of digital platforms, ensuring consistent and inspiring content across all channels, including the website, social media, email and printed materials.
· Ensure that brand messaging is consistent, clear and aligned across The Mix and 127 Trading Ltd to enhance public recognition and reputation.
· Grow awareness of the charity at a local and regional level, monitoring success through market research.
· Develop compelling narratives and stories of the charity’s impact to engage partners and encourage continued support.
4. Team leadership and development
· Lead and develop the Fundraising & Marketing team, fostering a collaborative and positive culture.
· Mentor and support team members in achieving their professional development goals, ensuring they attain business objectives.
· Regularly monitor and review team performance to meet income generation and communication objectives.
5. Operational excellence
· Ensure compliance with data protection laws, fundraising regulations and ethical guidelines across all fundraising and marketing activities.
· Review and improve the use of the website and develop systems to track donor engagement, monitor income and ensure data integrity and transparency.
· Work closely with finance and operations teams to oversee the management and monitoring of fundraising targets.
·Work closely with the Youth Work team to provide insight to funding opportunities available and marketing and fundraising activities occurring.

We are looking for a suitably qualified person to join our team as HR Officer to promote good HR practice throughout the District and its constituent churches and Circuits. The HR Officer will provide expert advice for line managers and provide support for all HR matters, enabling all lay staff to flourish in their roles in addition to meeting statutory and Methodist requirements. This role will include working closely with the District Secretary and other members of the District Lay Employment Committee to develop policies and ensure these are implemented across the District.
Responsibilitied will include:
Recruitment and Induction
- As part of the District Lay Employment Committee, leading on providing support to employing bodies with the preparation of job descriptions, adverts, contracts, and interview processes.
- Supporting employing bodies with the implementation of Safer Recruitment procedures.
- Maintaining dialogue with employers to seek to ensure that required training, probationary periods and other standard procedures are implemented for new employees and line managers.
Advice and Guidance
- Give consistent advice to local churches, Circuits and the District on the full range of employment matters including recruitment, selection, induction, line management, discipline, grievance and redundancy.
- Deal with queries from lay employees regarding contracts, and associated human resources issues, rules, and regulations.
- In consultation with employing bodies, prepare and process associated paperwork for all changes in status of their employees (including recruitment, redundancy, changes in working hours etc) consistent with immigration (Right to Work), Connexional and District policies.
- Identify the training needs of the District pertaining to HR and communicate these to the relevant parties.
- Develop and lead on training for line managers in collaboration with members of the District Lay Employment Committee.
Administration
- Maintain copies of relevant employment documents on behalf of employers.
- Arrange prior approval for all contracts, recruitments and redundancies from the District Policy Committee in accordance with Methodist Standing Order 438 A
- With District Administrators, ensure that information regarding lay employees and line managers is maintained.
Policy and Oversight
- Support the District’s Lay Employment Advisor in their duties as described in Methodist Constitution Practice & Discipline
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to HR activities (grievances, performance reviews, contracts of employment etc.) within the District.
- Ensure that advisory information produced by the District remains relevant, accessible and meets current regulatory frameworks.
- With the District Secretary, monitor and develop district employment policies.
- Develop an awareness of Methodist Safeguarding practices, undergo relevant Methodist Safeguarding training, and understand how this applies to the context.
