As an Annual Health Practitioner, you will provide support to local health services with their SMI (Severe Mental Illness) clinics. You will be key in shaping this role as the service develops as well as providing support to the core Access Community Mental Health team. FearFree deliver services across the South West for victims of domestic abuse, those who harm and their families and victims of sexual violence and stalking. We provide responsive, victim focused and trauma informed support and this post is fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.

This post will be based in our Devon domestic abuse service and is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of our services which include IDVA Support for high risk service users, Education and Recovery support for medium and standard risk, Behaviour Change Support for those who harm and support for children and young people who have witnessed domestic abuse and YPIDVA support for those in abusive intimate relationships.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Leading day to day operations within the Devon services.

Leadership and management

Budgets and Financial performance

• Contribute to the creation of annual and three year budgets and financial targets.

• Develop effective business cases to propose new developments within the annual budgeting process but also progress ad hoc opportunities as they arise.

Governance and regulation

• Provide regular performance and project reports to the Head of Services, Director of Services and Commissioning partners.
• Provide performance and project reports and attend regular meetings internally and externally as requested.
• Provide evidence based assurance that the service meets or exceeds the contract terms and report to commissioners against performance indicators

Relationships and partnerships

• Proactively build relationships with the wider statutory and voluntary partners across the charity’s areas of operation.
• Actively network across the operating area and beyond to build the charity’s reputation and harness support for the organization.
• Effectively manage contractor relationships including sub-contractors to ensure FearFree is a priority provider.

Development

• Demonstrate continuous professional development as part of the charity’s ethos as a learning organisation.

Duties and Responsibilities  

Provides leadership for all international fundraising, marketing and communications strategy and plans by:

Planning and Management:

• Provide strong leadership and direct line management to the International Fundraising and Marketing team to sustain, develop and grow fundraising, marketing and other initiatives to maximise income and build engagement and brand loyalty from new and existing supporters.
• Develop and manage the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications strategy and associated plans to meet ambitious targets.
• Prepare and present reports on progress, income and expenditure to the International CEO and the International Board.
• Be aware of current legislations, technologies and trends that will benefit the charity.
• Close monitoring of international fundraising income across all sources, and managing the international fundraising and marketing departmental budgets.

Brand and Marketing:

Fundraising:

• Ensure the team submits robust and timely applications for grants, and provide excellent ongoing stewardship including thanking and impact reports.
• Execute innovative and creative targeted digital fundraising campaigns across various social media platforms to drive donations.
• Oversee all fundraising activity and be the point of sign off for all communications and outgoing campaigns.
• Cultivate existing relationships with long-standing supporters to maintain stability in regular giving.
• Expand networks and maintaining regular communication with philanthropists, major gift donors, and prospects to establish strong relationships and negotiate ongoing opportunities for support and partnerships.
• Manage relationships with external agencies and contractors to optimise return on investment.

BEO is a civil rights charity that was set up to challenge and dismantle systemic racism. We work with Black communities by using campaigning, policy and research in conjunction with the law to effect meaningful change.

Legal services are central to BEO. We are therefore looking for someone of 4yrs PQE who has experience in social welfare, human rights, public and administration law and who seeks an opportunity to use those skills specifically in the area of challenging systemic racism.

In the last year we have been developing our relationships with partner organisations, ranging from community groups, our stakeholder law firms, NGOs and law firms experienced in equality and discrimination law, to deliver legal services. The role holder will be required to build on and expand these relationships so that BEO can offer quality legal advice to Back communities in the nations and regions across the United Kingdom.

We are building our internal legal team so that we can provide targeted legal support to Black communities. We are looking for someone to work with the Director of Legal Services and Policy to ensure that high quality legal advice, support and representation are the hallmark of BEO.

Apart from delivering targeted legal advice and representation and identifying and running strategic litigation cases, the role holder will be required to think creatively to assist in fundraising and campaigning to develop a sustainable legal service. BEO does not have a Legal Aid Agency contract so self funds all legal work.

BEO is a small team, so the role holder must have the skills and confidence to work on their own initiative as well as with members of other teams in BEO.

About You-

We are looking for someone with 4 years PQE who is excited about being part of a team that will build a legal service and who can work with Black communities and be guided by them.

You will also be able to demonstrate that you are aware that Black communities are not homogeneous and you will bring this understanding to the way that you approach your work and interact with clients, our partners and community organisations.

Women in Prison is the main national charity focused on women in the criminal justice sector. We exist to support women facing multiple marginalisation and exclusion, who have been let down, and their rights denied.  We believe that prison doesn’t work and we want to see an end to the harmful imprisonment of women in England and Wales.

To help realise our ambition, we are looking for a Director of Fundraising and Communications to join our senior leadership team and support the charity in achieving our goals.

The role

This crucial role will help to strategically grow and develop our income and awareness. As part of the Senior Management Team, you will report directly to the charity’s CEO, have key Trustee relationships with the Chair and Fundraising lead Trustee, and build collaborative relationships with the senior staff and clinicians across St George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

You will build and lead the fundraising and communications team, both strategically and operationally, whilst managing them through a period of change. You will drive and deliver fundraising and marketing strategies, identify key areas to accelerate growth across a diversified range of income streams, and drive greater brand awareness.

This role will be required in the office a minimum of two days a week, with flexibility to engage with key stakeholders in the hospital according to their availability.

The person

We are seeking an experienced senior fundraiser to develop and grow sustainable, long-term support across all income streams, but with particular attention to the high-value portfolio.  

With proven experience of successfully developing and implementing ambitious fundraising and communications strategies, you will be an exceptional relationship builder, capable of building and nurturing strong and productive relationships, both internally and externally. We are also looking for an inspiring leader who will empower and support their team through a period of change, as well as the wider organisation to deliver our ambitious growth targets.
