Job description

Salary: £31,151 per annum, rising to £32,790 after 12 months in London (or £27,542 per annum rising to £29,181 after 12 months outside of London)
Location: Society Building, 8 All Saints Street, London N1, with flexibility to regularly work from home/home-based, with occasional travel to the office in line with NCVO’s flexible working policy or home working policy if outside London.

NCVO is transforming the way it works. With a new strategic direction and leadership team, we are determined to work with our members so that charities and volunteering can thrive. As the country recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic and renews itself, charities and volunteering aren’t just vital support systems for communities in need – they’re at the heart of how people want to lead their lives.

This is a key role in administering NCVO’s membership programme, with an operational responsibility for reviewing, approving and processing membership applications, welcoming new members and forming personable relationships with customers. NCVO has over 16,500 voluntary members and high numbers of applications every month.

Membership contributes an income of over £1m. The post holder works under the guidance of the Membership Manager and assists in all aspects of implementing the membership strategy, supporting members and offering excellent customer service.

The post holder supports NCVO teams and colleagues by sharing membership insight and experiences, liaising between members and staff, and efficient data profiling and reporting.

The post holder manages no staff, but may be asked to task manage temporary staff and / or trainees as appropriate.

NCVO is fully committed to equity, diversity and inclusion in our sector. We want this to be reflected in the diversity of the people who work for us and we welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and identities. We particularly welcome applications from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as BAME and disabled people are currently under-represented in NCVO. As part of our commitment to employing disabled people, all disabled candidates who meet the minimum requirement for all competencies on the person specification, will be guaranteed an interview.

If you have access needs or require reasonable adjustments as part of the recruitment process, please let us know.
