We are seeking an experienced Charity Administrator (Maternity Cover for CEO) to provide continuity and ensure the smooth running of CURE UK during our CEO’s maternity leave. This is a caretaker role: you will be the charity’s sole staff member, responsible for day-to-day operations, donor communications, and ongoing fundraising projects. Strategic leadership will remain with the Board of Trustees — the role is to manage and deliver existing commitments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing charity communications (office phone, email, and post).
• Preparing and sending quarterly fundraising appeals and monthly supporter newsletters.
• Maintaining donor relationships and ensuring timely acknowledgements.
• Liaising with CURE International head office and hospitals to gather updates and patient stories.
• Overseeing delivery of current fundraising projects (e.g. Operation Zim and surgical training initiatives).
• Managing relationships with grant partners and fulfilling reporting requirements.
• Liaising with CURE UK’s Accountant partner who are responsible for financial management, bookkeeping, charitable giving, governance and financial reporting for board meetings.
• Quarterly summaries of charity activities for the board at board meetings.
• Handling general administration such as management of donor database (if full time role)

Part-time / Full-time Options

 This role can be shaped according to the successful candidate’s availability and skills:

• Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk): In addition to the core responsibilities, the postholder will also take on charity finance and administration tasks. These include management of the donor database (Beacon CRM), support with bookkeeping and reconciliation, handling charitable giving for our projects, and processing invoice payments to suppliers.
• Part-time (c. 20 hrs/wk): The role would focus on communications, fundraising, and donor care. Finance, accounting, and governance tasks would be handled by our external Accountant partner.

• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Experience in fundraising communications (appeals, newsletters, donor care).
• Experience in grant fundraising and management (grant writing and reporting)
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to plan and take responsibility for your own workflow as the sole caretaker of the organisation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Good written communication and relationship management skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to handle a varied workload.

About the role

As a Housing First Coach you will deliver high quality person-centred support, using psychologically and trauma informed approaches, in line with Housing First principles. You will take a bold approach to establishing open and trusting relationships with people who have had long histories of homelessness or in temporary/insecure accommodation, enabling them to access and sustain accommodation and empower them to exercise choice and control over their lives. The team is multi-disciplinary – Coaches, Peer Support Worker, Clinical Psychologist – which allows us to collaboratively formulate innovative approaches to support. The team operates across London, providing numerous opportunities to build impactful partnerships and contribute towards systems change. 

About you

· To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter, flexible and have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team and with internal and external partners. 

· You may have a background in housing/homelessness support, adult safeguarding, drug or alcohol recovery services or mental health and have significant experience of working within a multidisciplinary setting with the ability to create strong professional relationships and creative solutions. 

· You will have experience of working with people who have faced severe and multiple exclusion and who may be considered to have ‘complex needs’, with an understanding of the needs of people who have been homeless for long periods of time.

· You will be willing and able to provide practical assistance with moving into and maintaining a home – including direct help where necessary with tasks such as shopping, budgeting, cooking, and cleaning. 

· You will also have a knowledge of Housing First and housing led approaches and the ability to work within a psychologically informed approach.

The National Society for Education (NSE) is both an NCI and a Royal-charter charity. It's aims are to support Church schools and the wider education sector by developing leaders, shaping policy and growing faith.

The NSE leads the Church of England's national work in education in partnership with 41 Diocesan Boards of Education and approximately 4,700 Church of England schools. We also support the national education work of the Church in Wales, which includes around 150 schools. Our presence extends to work with community schools and academy trusts, as well as higher and further July 2025 education through numerous chaplaincies, providing spiritual support and guidance to children and young people, and to adults.

The Church of England's Vision and Strategy for the 2020s has three priorities, one of which is to be a church which is younger and more diverse. As part of this, the House of Bishops want to ensure that a flourishing children, youth and families ministry is within reach of every young person in England.

Our University has a proud history of philanthropy stretching back to its foundation in 1900. With a clear vision to change the lives of the people of Birmingham, Joseph Chamberlain raised the funds required to build the University from citizens and corporations based locally and around the globe. Since then philanthropy has continued to play an important role in shaping the University. There have been a number of fundraising campaigns, including a £1m urgent capital appeal after the Second World War and a £1.4m campaign to fund the Vale ‘student village’ in the 1960s. In 2015 we closed the Circles of Influence Campaign, raising £193 million, making it the largest HE fundraising campaign outside Oxbridge and London.

DARO exists to support our academic and student community by engaging, inspiring, and celebrating alumni, individuals, and charitable funders who give their money, time, and networks to support the University’s strategic priorities. The Office, which is comprised of five teams, is focused on fundraising and volunteering from alumni, organisations and individuals who are passionate about changing lives, through funding various research projects, supporting student bursaries, mentoring students, and providing internships, as well as providing a versatile programme of engagement opportunities for our global alumni community.

There is a rare opportunity to join the DARO Senior Leadership team at this exciting time in our current campaign.

We are looking for an Associate Director of Charitable Partnerships to maximise our enormous income generation potential; coach, nurture and challenge the well-established Charitable Partnerships team; and deliver a bold and innovative strategy to support this exciting campaign, raising significant gifts yourself from an established and growing portfolio. You will lead a team of expert trust and corporate fundraisers to work across the campus and deliver an institution-wide service to generate income, networks and influence from corporates, charities, trusts and foundations. You will be responsible for creating a motivational and supportive environment for your team with professional development opportunities for all members. You will maintain oversight of all significant charitable relationships, including your own portfolio, and be the first point of contact for the amazing opportunities in this space. As a key member of DARO’s Senior Leadership team you will help shape the strategic direction of the function and work collaboratively with other Associate Directors to take our campaign to the next level.

About Corporate Performance

A growing number of companies and financial institutions are seeking to mitigate their impacts on nature. But many have made commitments that are not being met, and others are failing to take any action at all. We hold to account through our Forest 500 project, assessing the policies and performance of influential companies and financial institutions. We also support financial institutions and investors with our suite of Deforestation-free Finance Guidance and a forthcoming new tool, DEFT Pathway, to support effective engagement with high-risk companies. We support the finance sector, policy makers and other stakeholders by providing market-leading data on deforestation and ESG metrics through Forest IQ. 

Role overview

An exciting opportunity for a creative and highly motivated candidate with strong technical expertise to help increase Global Canopy's impact by making world-leading environmental and financial data more accessible to our key audiences in the finance sector, business and civil society. 

The role will focus on the DEFT Pathway and related products. DEFT is a transparent, easy-to-use framework that maps out practical steps for companies to transition to deforestation-free supply chains. Hosted by best-in-class data platform Forest IQ, DEFT Pathway helps financial institutions to engage effectively with companies on deforestation. 

A key objective is to make the DEFT Pathway data accessible by building user-friendly frontend components. The data is complex and multi-dimensional and will require considerable creativity to communicate in an understandable and compelling way in order to maximise its impact. You will collaborate with designers, researchers and product managers to fulfill these aims.

As a full stack developer, you will also design and implement the backend to allow the data powering the visualisations to be accessed in a secure way. You will work with data engineers and researchers to ensure the database is well-structured and that queries are performant.

The tech team is small, so you will need to operate with a high degree of independence, and will have the opportunity to influence key technical decisions. We are looking for someone who finds this prospect exciting rather than daunting! 

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, these are the things that will matter the most: 

• Excellent full stack web development skills, ideally using python and typescript
• Knowledge of python frameworks for the backend, such as FastAPI, Flask and/or Django
• Knowledge of javascript frameworks for the frontend (preferably React/Next.js), and common data visualisation libraries such as d3
• Experience querying PostgreSQL databases, potentially using SQLAlchemy as an ORM
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS

Essential behavioural competencies: 

• Self-starter, happy working in a small team with a large degree of independence
• A keen eye for quality, and an appreciation of the importance of automated testing
• A desire to follow industry standard software development processes

Desirable:

• 3+ years experience
• Experience using Agile project management methods and appreciation of the benefits of these
• Knowledge of the Corporate Performance domain

Benefits

Salary: £60K full-time equivalent. This role sits within Band C on Global Canopy’s remuneration framework.
Nature of contract: Full time (37.5 hours) or part time (30 hours, 0.8 FTE). Fixed term for 21 months (approximately the end of 2027). We are a flexible employer and welcome candidates wishing to work flexibly.
Base: Our office is in Oxford, UK with flexible home-working arrangements in place.

You will work closely with our existing team, supporting the delivery and organisation of the IntoUniversity programme in the centre.

The main duties of the role

To deliver the IntoUniversity programme effectively to children and young people in different settings, including schools-based workshops, Academic Support sessions and educational visits. This includes positive behaviour management and adherence to the IntoUniversity safeguarding policy.

• To assist with the organisation and delivery of the Academic Support, FOCUS and Mentoring Programmes.
• To assist the IntoUniversity Centre Leader in liaising with schools and other partner bodies, in organising the classroom and resources and in planning project delivery. 
• To update and maintain IntoUniversity displays, publicity and resources.
• To work with the IntoUniversity Centre Leader to recruit children and young people to the programme, including after-school Academic Support and FOCUS Weeks. 
• To develop educational resources and worksheets for use across all IntoUniversity programmes.

The Fundraising Lead is both a new business development and relationship management role: you will proactively secure new, high-value philanthropic and corporate partnerships while managing and uplifting existing relationships with foundations, HNWIs, and private sector partners.

You will bring a strong sales and new business mindset, capable of inspiring and influencing senior decision-makers across sectors, while stewarding long-term, strategic partnerships. Working closely with the small but agile wider team and senior management, you will deliver against ambitious income targets, build a robust pipeline, and ensure Stop Ecocide International maximises its fundraising potential as momentum for ecocide law builds globally.

New Business Development

1. Lead the identification, research, and development of a pipeline of new philanthropic, corporate, and HNWI prospects.

2. Cultivate and secure six and seven-figure partnerships across the private and philanthropic sectors.

3. Develop compelling, tailored propositions and pitches that inspire significant investment in SEI’s mission.

Account Management & Uplift

1. Manage and grow existing funder and partner relationships, ensuring excellent stewardship and maximising renewal, uplift, and multi-year commitments.
