An exciting opportunity has arisen at Action for Stammering Children for a Deputy CEO who is interested in combining their fundraising expertise with a dynamic leadership role. This is an excellent role for someone with a fundraising background to assist the CEO in growing and diversifying the charity’s income streams and gaining experience in managing day-to-day operations.

The Deputy CEO will lead on implementation of the fundraising strategy and support the CEO in managing operational matters. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have experience in donor acquisition and Trust and Foundation fundraising.

This role will involve working closely with the CEO who sets the strategic direction, oversees and evaluates the charity’s activity portfolio, manages the charity’s partners, and represents the charity externally. A key priority for Action for Stammering Children is effectively demonstrating the impact of its work to beneficiaries, supporters and funders. We are therefore looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, passion for making a difference to children who stammer and their families, and experience of line management.

This is an exciting role leading our committed policy team leading the fight to end child poverty in the UK. The development and implementation of a UK-wide cross-government child poverty strategy means this is a great time to join CPAG as we look to influence policy makers to adopt our evidence-based policy solutions to child poverty.

We are looking for someone to take a lead role in developing evidence-based policy positions to support CPAG’s influencing and campaigns work. You will have knowledge of political processes and how external organisations can effect change. You will have a track record of producing high quality research and analysis, including policy briefings, on social policy issues. You will have experience of managing a small team and working collaboratively to identify policy issues and develop solutions with colleagues across the organisation, as well as externally.

The postholder will be working in a fast moving, high profile and complex policy environment and will need to balance short term priorities with long term objectives. Current priorities include influencing the implementation of the forthcoming child poverty strategy, gathering and sharing analysis and expertise with the DWP as part of their review of universal credit, and monitoring the development of forthcoming changes to disability benefits.

This is a critical role in a progressive campaigning organisation. Your input will see the growth of the organisation through the development of a range of income generation streams. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing income from trusts, foundations, major donors and legacies, in addition to revising and developing the fundraising strategy. A key priority for this role will be identifying and maximising on opportunities with trusts and foundations through writing compelling applications to maximise on the funding opportunities available to the organisation from the diverse range of priorities they support.

The successful candidate is likely to bring a demonstrable track record in securing income from a range of sources, including trusts and foundations. You will enjoy leading and managing teams and working strategically as well as 'hands on' as your remit will include establishing relationships with new, existing, and previous funders.

The Role

• To be the strategic lead for income, service, and performance management of Causeway’s Property portfolio. To support housing staff to achieve tangible social impact and/or recovery outcomes in line with Causeway’s mission and with funder’s contractual obligations.

• Significant experience in institutional and/or philanthropic fundraising, with a proven track record of generating substantial income.
• Strong ability to build partnerships and develop compelling, fundable proposals with clear budgets and value propositions.
• Excellent account management skills with partners and donors across diverse sectors, including governments, institutions, private foundations and corporates such as the Clinton Foundation, Google, AWS, and ECHO, with particular experience in working with FCDO and other institutional donors.
• A solid understanding of the humanitarian system, including funding landscapes, trends, and opportunities.
• Experience managing complex bids and partnerships ideally in excess of £1 million or more.
• Resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt and maintain performance under pressure.

About the Role

This is an exciting role that requires a mixture of skills in relation to learning and development. The role is varied and will involve delivery, design and management of learning to support staff and volunteers within the Witness Service delivered by the charity. As the face of learning and development for the Witness Service within the organisation, you will build positive relationships, promote learning and act in an advisory capacity when it comes to development.

You will;

• Deliver and design face to face and virtual training for our volunteers, staff and partners. There is an expectation that you will deliver 4 days per week, with 1 days administration work and time allocated for design projects.
• Work with Subject Matter Experts and senior staff both within Victim Support and external stakeholders on learning projects relevant to the Witness Service.
• Create accurate delegate reports and take appropriate action to address any identified under-performance.
• Deliver high quality presentations and learning interventions with a focus on evaluation and continuous improvement.

It is essential to be able to work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing and conflicting demands in an organised and effective manner.

You will need to work flexibly as required and whilst the role is home-based there will be a requirement for moderate travel throughout England and Wales.

We are looking for someone with experience of delivering training programmes using a variety of different methods e.g. face to face, virtual and one to one, managing delegates and issues that may arise. We’re looking for a pro-active person to do this varied, ‘hands on’ role at Gorton Central, our community hub and home, where we develop exciting, innovative and quality services and collaborations. The Centre Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day operations of our busy community hub.

The Centre Coordinator will report to the Service and Business Manager, and will line-manager centre and centre volunteers.

Working pattern: 35 hours a week. For this role, we expect the post holder to work at Gorton Central 4 days a week including Wednesday (shared team workday) and Thursday (Good Food Gorton activities day), with a day working from home (to be negotiated Monday-Friday).

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Individual Giving Fundraiser to support the Supporter Development team as Individual Giving Fundraiser. 

This is an exciting and varied role will be providing a key role in developing and increasing income, donor acquisition and engagement across SSCH’s Individual Giving fundraising programme, including legacies. The post will work to maximise potential and develop both new and existing donors, through targeted donor development campaigns, supporter acquisition and retention programmes.

The post holder will work flexibly across the Individual Giving income streams including individual donations, campaigns, gifts in memory and legacies. As part of this, a key responsibility will be the relationship management and support to any of our supported families who choose to fundraise for SSCH. This role will also support with legacy administration.

This role will combine a targeted driven approach with excellent donor care and relationship management helping to drive growth and income.

About you

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience within a fundraising or comparable role. Ideally the candidate will have some legacy administration experience.

You will also have an ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of the wider fundraising team to ensure success of income growth.
