ABOUT THE ROLE

The Corporate Partnerships Coordinator is the first point of contact for companies at Trees for Cities. They engage with companies interested in employee volunteering and/or funding partnerships to deliver our goal of healthy, accessible and resilient urban forests for today and future generations.

They are responsible for coordinating employee volunteering opportunities including producing compelling volunteering materials, responding to corporate queries and bookings, managing the volunteering calendar to support with project delivery, and ensuring effective systems and processes.

The Coordinator will manage corporate partners for a range of funding options such as charitable donations, cause-related marketing, and project sponsorship up to £10,000 per year. They will support the Fundraising team to manage corporate income by conducting prospect research and ethical evaluations, as well as database support.

We have achieved significant income growth since the start of our last strategy period – and more is needed to address the increasing need for urban trees. We now look forward to our next strategy in 2025 for even more ambitious plans – join us!

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage corporate enquiries, ensuring a smooth and high-quality experience. This includes providing rapid responses and directing to internal point of contacts as appropriate.
• Act as the primary point of contact for companies to coordinate volunteering days, including booking one-off corporate volunteering days or scheduling volunteering days as part of existing partnership agreements. Volunteering opportunities may be in London, across the UK or international.
• Ensure a smooth and high-quality experience for corporate partners giving <£10,000 annually to Trees for Cities. This includes producing compelling organisational and project communications, engaging promotional and stewardship materials, and managing necessary administration such as invoices, agreements, and other donor requirements.
• Work with colleagues in the Fundraising, Development, and Urban Forest teams to plan and facilitate corporate volunteering opportunities across the UK. This may also include liaising with third parties (landowners and delivery partners).
• Conduct prospect research and ethical evaluations on prospective corporate partners.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records including through our CRM databases (Salesforce, Monday, Donorfy), supporting the Fundraising team as needed.

We are looking for a Legacy and In Memory Lead for an incredible hospice, to be responsible for managing the implementation of the legacy (gifts in Wills) and in memory strategies and developing annual delivery plans.

The Role

Support with line management of the Supporter Care Assistant where necessary.

The Candidate
Significant demonstrable and relevant experience of in memory and/or legacy fundraising.

Experience of developing and promoting in memory and/or legacy fundraising products.

Experience of using a variety of on- and offline channels to deliver successful marketing campaigns to acquire and develop donors / customers.

Experience of managing income and expenditure budgets.

At The Compassionate Friends (TCF) we are passionate about providing peer support to grieving parents and their families whose son or daughter has died at any age (from one month old to an adult) and from any cause. We offer this support through our network of over 300 dedicated volunteers who are themselves bereaved parents or siblings. We are now seeking an Events & Community Fundraiser to join our small, but dedicated and hardworking, staff team to help us to develop our funding to continue our vital work. In this exciting and diverse role, you will be leading on the recruitment and stewardship of individual fundraisers and fundraising groups undertaking challenge events, digital fundraising and other community fundraising initiatives. 

Just some of the activities you will be working on include:

o   Taking ownership of community and events fundraising at The Compassionate Friends, including preparing an annual plan, and incorporating digital fundraising alongside traditional methods.

Events Fundraiser

MRF National Events Programme

The MRF National Events Fundraiser is responsible for a significant proportion of our events income with hundreds of runners each year taking on the challenge of participating in iconic races such as TCS London Marathon and A J Bell Great North Run.

Many of our race participants join Team MRF for deeply personal reasons, having had first-hand experience of the disease. Without Team MRF runners we would not be where we are in the race to defeat Meningitis, they are fundamental to our work and have been so since our early days as a charity.

The National Events Fundraiser is an enjoyable role at MRF within a very successful fundraising team, which last year raised over £500,000 by supporting hundreds of runners on Team MRF.

With many different elements to the role from planning, marketing, stewardship and event delivery you will need to be flexible and adaptable. This isn’t a fully desk-based job, as at different points of the year you will get the chance to meet Team MRF runners face to face by attending the events themselves and delivering celebratory post-race receptions.

With large teams of runners across a rolling annual events programme you must feel comfortable in managing deadlines, overlapping plans and keeping on top of supporter communications. Whilst we have systems in place to support this, our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys taking responsibility for their own workload.

This a fun role that sees the events through from start to finish and a great opportunity for the right candidate.

As Fundraising Training and Engagement Officer, working with a Direct Marketing Manager, you will deliver inspiring training presentations to agency face to face fundraisers, and work with the agency to help them deliver their own training sessions.

You will work closely with all key services areas of the charity and the wider operations team, to create and develop content to inspire fundraisers for all training materials.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain and refine Fundraiser Training Decks with up to date and relevant content.
• Responsible for training observation and monitoring plans for external agencies.
• Alongside the DM Manager, support on the development of an annual training plan.
• Work with external suppliers to ensure that they are operating to the highest standards.

Planning & Organising

• Work alongside the DM Manager as a contact for agency partners and campaign activity.  
• Assist on the development of operational plans for multiple fundraising campaigns, along with analysing results to ensure ROI is delivered.

Administration Duties

• Reviewing and recording all invoices.
• Maintain training materials and stock of marketing and training materials.

To be successful as the Fundraising Training and Engagement Officer, you will be able to demonstrate prior skills and experiences in the following areas:

• Presenting or communications information to large groups, either face to face or via a remote setting.
• Engaging, inspiring and motivating others to achieve targets and deliver against campaign objectives.
• Working with PowerPoint and Excel to create, deliver and develop training programmes.

Additional desirable skills, though these skills are not essential, are areas such as:  

• Managing the performance of external agencies to deliver successful campaign.

Be Free Campaign is a dynamic mental health charity dedicated to preventing and intervening early in young people's mental health issues. We deliver impactful mental health programmes to schools, community centres, and organisations, reaching and supporting as many young individuals as possible. We are run by young people, for young people.

Position Overview:

Be Free Campaign seeks a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to play a crucial role in managing and expanding our outreach programmes specifically focused on young people's mental health. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of these programmes, including delivery, volunteer recruitment, administrative tasks, contributing to fundraising efforts, and providing leadership and management.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

• Provide operational leadership, manage performance, maintain service quality, monitor operations, and develop staff.

• Represent the Be Free Campaign at a senior level with external partners.

• Support and assist in the delivery of the strategic direction for the organisation.

• Help ensure the sustainability and viability of current and future operations.

• Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team to develop, grow, and sustain the Be Free Campaign.

Programme Management:

• Support the development and implementation of our young people's mental health programmes.

• Assist with research and evaluation of existing programmes, identifying opportunities for expansion and improvement.

• Contribute to the development of new and innovative initiatives specifically targeting young people's mental health needs.

• Ensure high-quality and impactful delivery of the Be Free Campaign's young people's mental health programme.

• Achieve set targets for programme delivery.

Volunteer Management:

• Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies focused on attracting individuals passionate about young people's mental health.

• Facilitate volunteer training and onboarding specific to our young people's programmes.

• Coordinate volunteer activities and ensure their effective integration into our programmes.

Communications and Marketing:

• Develop engaging content for various channels (social media, website, newsletters) specifically targeting young people and raising awareness about mental health.

• Assist with the creation of marketing materials and campaigns focused on young people's mental health.

• Support public awareness initiatives related to young people's mental health.

Fundraising:

• Assist with the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to secure financial resources for the young people's mental health programmes.

• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors and grant-making bodies.

• Prepare grant proposals and reports.

• Assist with fundraising events and initiatives.

Impact Reporting:

• Compile and analyse data to create detailed impact reports for each young people's mental health programme delivered.

• Ensure accurate documentation and collection of evaluations and feedback from young participants.

Administrative Tasks:

• Undertake administrative duties necessary for the smooth operation of the young people's mental health programmes.

• Maintain accurate records, including programme schedules, volunteer details, and partnership information.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, youth work) or equivalent work experience.

• Previous experience in programme management, preferably in a youth mental health or charity setting.

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Demonstrated experience in volunteer management.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Passion for young people's mental health and a commitment to making a positive impact.

CISWO is a national charity whose mission is to improve the lives of individuals and communities facing disadvantage due to the impact of the coal mining industry.

We are looking for a development manager with a range of skills and experiences to support other mining charities develop a sustainable future. You will have a background in partnership working and developing funding opportunities, as well as a good understanding of charity governance.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in community and / or business development with a good knowledge of the charity sector.

As Development Manager, you will:

• Support mining charities to develop business plans and budgeting and help them to identify funding opportunities and develop funding proposals.
• Provide secretariat services to mining related regional grant making charities. 
• Contribute to the development of and promote the organisations support offer for other mining charities, seeking new methods of supporting local trustees.
• Support the recruitment and training of local trustees and officers, encouraging good governance
• Develop local partnership working with other voluntary sector organisations, tiers of local government and local communities.
• Ensure the organisation interests and responsibilities in partner charities are retained and fulfilled.
• Represent the organisation with external parties, including, welfare charities, councils and local authorities as required

The essential qualities, skills and experience you will need to apply for this role:

• Experience of community development and / or business development and an understanding of business planning and budgets
• Experience of identifying and applying for funding on a national, regional, or local level.
• Proven experience of working in the charity sector with a good understanding of governance requirements and the challenges facing the sector.
• Proven experience in building confidence and a positive reputation with stakeholders.
• Ability to be self-motivated, with good personal organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to resolve problems in a logical, proactive, practical and positive manner
• Ability to take initiative with a practical, ‘hands on’ approach to work
• A valid driving licence and own transport with the flexibility for some travel

Pratham is one of the largest and most respected education charities in India. We developed a model that can teach a child to read and do basic maths in as little as 30 days for £14. We also have preschool, vocational and women's education programmes.

The gala sponsorship pack is included with the job pack below. The evening consistently raises over £500k; this year, you will support the delivery of the Gala, but next year, you will lead it along with a calendar of cultivation and stewardship events that will help us grow partnerships with major donors, corporates and foundations.

While you will work in a small, fully remote team day to day, you will be part of the global Pratham network. The team in India has over 6,000 staff, and they raise $28m locally. Pratham USA has 14 chapters and produces around 12 galas a year, which contributes to its $30m income; you can share the films and branding of their galas, meaning we can really stretch our budget to put on an outstanding event. 

We are a small team, and whilst an events person is vital for our development if someone wanted to get involved in other fundraising streams, particularly corporate or major donors, we would be delighted to read about it in your application and discuss it at the interview or in a call before the interview—which are welcomed.

All current staff have visited India to see the programmes, and whilst we can't guarantee you a visit as we grow, it remains an ambition. We can offer a level of flexibility on hours, we'd consider someone four days a week, but flexibility and some extra (paid) days might be required around the gala time. Our Executive Director stops for 30 minutes at 3 to pick up his children from school, work patterns that suit you can be considered.
