The role focuses on providing high-quality support to individuals in mental health crisis. You will assist clients during their stay, helping to reduce immediate distress and develop plans to prevent future crises. This includes working collaboratively with statutory and voluntary mental health services to ensure effective, multi-agency support. All interventions should reflect the organisation's values and commitment to recovery, co-production, and person-centred care, while following established policies and procedures.

Here's what the team will be looking for
You bring strong experience supporting individuals with mental health and dual diagnosis needs, demonstrating a compassionate and professional approach to helping people in distress. You understand the complexities of mental health conditions, including crisis management, and know how to communicate sensitively and effectively to ensure that individuals are supported with dignity, respect, and empathy.
Your knowledge of relevant mental health legislation, including the Care Programme Approach (CPA), enables you to provide informed and compliant support, while your commitment to the principles of recovery ensures that your practice remains person-centred, empowering, and strengths-based.
You are confident working both independently and collaboratively, contributing effectively to team goals while taking initiative in managing your own workload. You also bring experience in inducting and supporting peer staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
With experience working alongside statutory services such as the NHS, you understand the demands of front-line service delivery and the importance of integrated, multi-agency collaboration. You maintain a strong awareness of health and safety standards and safeguarding responsibilities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both clients and colleagues.
Technically proficient, you are comfortable using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and online platforms to record information accurately, communicate effectively, and manage administrative tasks. Your good literacy and numeracy skills allow you to produce clear, professional written correspondence and maintain accurate records.
Flexible and reliable, you are prepared to work Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays, to ensure continuous, high-quality support for service users. Your approach combines professionalism, empathy, and resilience—qualities that enable you to deliver excellent care in demanding and dynamic environments.
When will I be working?
You will be working on a shift rota Monday to Sunday to include every other weekend 39 hours a week

As Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will hold a key leadership role at the heart of bemix. About the Role
The Child Participation and External Engagement Advisor is responsible for shaping child and youth engagement at World Vision UK, including leading the Youth Advocacy Network and ensuring young people’s views and voices are at the heart of everything WVUK does internally and in external engagement. - Track, monitor and report on student aspirations to inform strategic planning and targeted interventions
- Engage parents and carers in the careers guidance process, keeping them informed and involved in their child’s journey, including attendance at parents’ evenings
- Facilitate meaningful employer encounters that inspire students and broaden their understanding of the world of work
- Attend key events such as results days and enrolment days to provide on-the-spot careers support and guidance

We are looking for a new senior political adviser who will help build on our relationships and networks across Westminster, to deliver ambitious political leadership on a range of issues. The post holder will be responsible for leading advocacy interventions and providing political support to our policy experts, primarily in the natural environment theme, with a direct focus on nature, land use, food and farming.
As a senior political adviser within the politics team, you will also be involved with, and lead on, major projects or themes of work across the political leadership theme (for example, the Environment APPG), managing and developing key external relationships and supporting the Director of politics and Director of strategic partnerships as they lead the politics team.
You will need to be an exceptional communicator, adept at bringing people together around a shared vision and have the interpersonal skills to inspire and work across Green Alliance and liaise with our extensive network of partners.
The role entails identifying and leading on opportunities for the UK government to achieve environmental progress and implementing advocacy strategies to secure it. You will have direct access to senior policy makers and environmental leaders, so will need to articulate recommendations succinctly and persuasively.
The role requires excellent understanding of UK political processes (especially in Westminster, parliament and Whitehall) and experience of using it to influence policy effectively. Experience of operating within the system or of working directly with politicians and the media to achieve policy change would be a distinct advantage. An understanding of environmental policy would be beneficial but is not vital.
You will be a highly organised, capable multi-tasker with experience managing projects and able to think on your feet, while managing multiple relationships and advocating plans concurrently.
Position in the Organisation
The senior political adviser will report to the Director of strategic partnerships and will work closely with Green Alliance’s policy and communications teams. You will be required to brief and advise the senior management team regularly and will be involved in task managing politics and policy advisers and analysts, with scope for direct line management responsibilities in the future.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Lead and support the delivery of Green Alliance projects to influence environmental policy.
- Track issues and analyse their relevance to the organisation’s objectives, and the UK’s environmental agenda, with a particular focus on our efforts to rebuild the cross-party consensus on the environment.
- Contribute to the implementation of Green Alliance’s political strategy and deputise for senior political staff, where necessary.
- Represent Green Alliance at external events, including speaking on panels and webinars, and attending events and conferences.
- Develop and sustain Green Alliance’s relationships with decision makers in Westminster and Whitehall and use them to enhance the impact of our work.
- Where relevant, develop and maintain relationships across the environmental sector to maximise impact of our strategic priorities.
- Strengthen and expand Green Alliance’s relationships with political journalists in the Westminster lobby and enhance their understanding of environmental issues and the politics around the net zero goal and nature.
- Write (or ghost write) briefings, articles and content on behalf of Green Alliance, and our partners and allies, to effect meaningful policy change in Westminster.
- Build relationships with MPs’ and peers’ offices to table Written and Oral Questions, provide briefings for debates and evidence sessions, and more, as well as strengthen relations with relevant select committee staff.

About the FCLP
upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP) is a graduate programme combining delivery work (supporting our Associates) with exposure to a range of aspects of charity management.
As a Programme Coordinator on the FCLP you will be delivering personalised employment-focused support to a cohort of approximately 80 Associates, helping transform their lives by equipping them with the necessary skills to secure a top graduate job. During a typical week, you should expect to be working across a range of projects including 1:1 undergraduate coaching, group workshops, webinars (we refer to them as Video Forums), partnership management (with university partners or employer partners) and more!
In addition to this, the programme offers the opportunity to develop skills in key areas of charity management by participating in 3 rounds of six-month 'rotations'. After your initial 18 months and the completion of 3 six-month rotations, you will have the opportunity to undertake an apprenticeship in Leadership and Management to further develop your skills.
Throughout the programme, you will receive dedicated internal training developing your leadership skills and building your confidence in the role.
Through our partnership with The Circle Line, you will be part of a supportive peer group, offered regular personal development training workshops online and in-person on their '12 Tools for Life'. You will also be able to choose your own practitioner to support you with 1:1 sessions throughout the programme to help you unlock more of your unique potential.
What will I be doing?
The FCLP is a fast-paced but rewarding role. Programme Coordinators spend 80% of their time (4 days per week) working directly with Associates to enhance their career knowledge and skills and 20% (1 day per week) on a charity management rotation (or an apprenticeship after 18 months).
