Job description

Serve on the Lyon’s Council as a Councillor of the Lyonic Scots.

A prestigious global volunteer role supporting the Clan Chief / Prince of Scots in guiding the future of Clan Lyonic Scots.

The Lyonic Scots are seeking dedicated Councillors to join the historic Lyon’s Council — the advisory and governance body that supports the Clan Chief / Prince of Scots in stewarding the legacy, culture, and global community of the Lyonic Scots.

If you value heritage, leadership, and meaningful service, this is an extraordinary opportunity to contribute to a living tradition.

Why This Role Matters

As a Councillor, you will help uphold the integrity, governance, and long‑term vision of the Lyonic Scots. You will act as an adviser to the Clan Chief / Prince of Scots, offering insight, perspective, and support on matters affecting the society and its global membership.

Your voice will help shape the future of a clan community that spans continents.

What You’ll Do (4–6 hours per month)

  • Participate in Lyon’s Council meetings and discussions.

  • Provide advice and perspective to the Clan Chief / Prince of Scots.

  • Support governance duties essential to the society’s management.

  • Contribute to strategic planning, heritage initiatives, and community engagement.

  • Represent the values and interests of the global Lyonic Scots membership.

This is a remote global role, open to applicants worldwide, and ideal for those who want to contribute to cultural leadership without a heavy time commitment.

What You Bring

  • A thoughtful, collaborative, and diplomatic approach.

  • Interest in governance, heritage, or cultural leadership.

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to contribute ideas.

  • Integrity, reliability, and a sense of stewardship.

  • A passion for Scottish clan heritage — or a desire to learn and engage.

What You’ll Gain

  • A respected advisory position within a historic Clan Society.

  • The honour of supporting the Clan Chief / Prince of Scots.

  • A meaningful role in shaping the society’s global future.

  • A warm, international community of members and fellow leaders.

  • Experience in cultural governance and strategic leadership.

Ready to take your place on the Lyon’s Council?

Step into a role that honours tradition, strengthens global community, and supports the leadership of Clan Lyon.
