The Pituitary Foundation are recruiting for a new CEO to lead us into the next phase of our journey.

The Pituitary Foundation is the UK’s leading charity providing support and information for people living with pituitary conditions, their families, friends and carers. We are based in an office in central Bristol, with some staff and volunteers working remotely throughout the UK. Pituitary conditions are uncommon, usually lifelong and can be life threatening. Conditions include acromegaly, Cushing's, prolactinoma, AVP-Deficiency and hypopituitarism.

It is an exciting time to join The Foundation. We are celebrating our 30th anniversary throughout 2024 and are working towards our ambitious strategy which we are excited to achieve. Our new website, and CRM, combined with robust processes and procedures offers a strong foundation, for a new CEO to build on.

About the Role

This role will combine the ambition of The Foundation without losing the core importance of being a person-centred patient support group, offering kindness and support at challenging times.  You will bring excellent interpersonal skills, as well as financial acumen and an appetite for seeing the best possible service delivered to a wide demographic.

Location: Based in the Bristol office, with flexibility for hybrid working

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000

Reports to: Chair and Board of Trustees

Holiday: 30 days plus statutory bank holidays

Pension: 5% employer contribution

The Peer Support Coordinator will play a critical role in the delivery of Day One's Peer Support Service. The primary objectives are to ensure a high-quality service is delivered to our beneficiaries; to develop our regional peer support model; and to facilitate a positive volunteering experience for our lived experience volunteer team. Responsibilities will include the day-to-day coordination of peer support activity. This will involve sensitive communication with trauma-affected individuals to understand their needs and preferences, using this information to facilitate suitable peer support matches.

The postholder will contribute to building a diverse volunteer team by supporting the volunteer recruitment and induction processes. They will offer ongoing support, guidance and motivation to our volunteers, ensuring meaningful opportunities to engage with Day One. The postholder will support the Peer Support Manger to conduct regular reviews with volunteers to gather feedback on their experiences as well as supporting their personal and professional development.

The Peer Support Co-ordinator will monitor service delivery and volunteer activity to ensure it is operating within agreed policies and processes. To ensure we can evidence the success and quality of the service, a key aspect of the role will involve keeping accurate records of interventions as well as collecting regular evaluation/impact data and personal case studies.

You will be a compassionate individual, dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of support for our beneficiaries and volunteers alike. You will be empathic with strong active listening skills, able to demonstrate sensitivity and discretion in your communication with trauma-affected individuals.  You will be adept at identifying individual’s support needs and have strong social/communication skills enabling you to facilitate appropriate and meaningful peer support matches. Possessing excellent organisational skills, you will thrive in the fast-paced and reactive environment of peer support service delivery.

You will be committed to maintaining high standards and have a keen eye for detail able to keep accurate records of interventions and collect evaluation/impact data with regularity. Additionally, you will have a proactive approach to building and supporting a diverse volunteer team.  You will be a ‘people-person’, enjoy speaking with others, and have the knowledge and confidence to offer ongoing guidance and motivation to our volunteer team. Your ability to conduct regular reviews to gather feedback to support volunteers' personal and professional development will be essential in driving the continued success of our peer support service. You will enjoy supporting others to develop new skills and navigate challenges successfully.  

Day One is a young, ambitious national charity dedicated to supporting people impacted by serious or multiple injuries which could result in life changing consequences such as disability or death, referred to in the NHS as ‘major trauma’.  Our Caseworkers work alongside NHS Clinicians, embedded as part of the team within Major Trauma Centres and across the wider Major Trauma Network to provide practical, emotional and financial support to adults and children as well as their families and loved ones.  Inspired ‘by patients for patients’ our vision is that no one has to piece life back together on their own after catastrophic injury. 

We have a great opportunity for someone with the necessary qualifications and attributes to join our accounts team. Serving as the Team Leader the successful candidate will work alongside the existing team and report to the Executive Director.  The post requires the right candidate to have good knowledge and a proven track record of working in business accounting.  Previous work in the charity sector would be desirable but not essential.

In this role you will be instrumental in enhancing the communication capabilities of our global programs and local partners. Developing celebrity partnerships (30%):

• Maintain relationships with celebrity supporters and drive partnership plans.
• Secure high-profile support for our activities and manage social media coverage sensitively.
• Identify and engage new high-profile supporters and advise colleagues on partnership strategies.

Communications resource for fundraising teams (20%):

• Provide communication support for fundraising events and community resource generation.
• Establish communication calendars and plan for fundraising initiatives.

Wider MMC Support (20%):

• Manage our digital asset bank and ensure best practice use.
• Monitor key metrics, deliver the Annual Report, and maintain our brand identity.
• Represent Street Child internally and externally and fulfill other role-related duties.

The location for this role is in London, with a willingness to work in our London office three, or more, days of the week.

ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. We are inviting applications for the role of Surveyor and Property Manager. In this role, the Surveyor and Property Manager acts as our principal source of professional expertise to the Association for all property related matters. Primary responsibilities include:

• Conducting valuations of the Association’s property to conform to RICS Red Book Standards
• Maximise rates of return and the best means of marketing properties identified for disposal
• Maintaining an up-to-date property portfolio which includes compliance with statutory requirements,

• Advising on the correct application of legislation as it relates to property, including the acquisitions and disposal of properties

About You

As you would expect, the Surveyor and Property Manager postholder will need to hold a professional chartered surveyor qualification (RICS) and have experience of leading and managing a property portfolio across a commercial environment with a diverse range of buildings. Other essential requirements include.

• Robust knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to building management.
• Experience in negotiating property contracts, undertaking and preparing reports on valuation of property
• A confident and persuasive negotiator to manage difficult conversations with Clubs and Tenants
• Leadership ability to manage a small team at Atlas House (HQ)
• Able to attend the office in Leicester at least one day per week (Wednesdays preferred)
• Prepared to travel to properties as required (you can plan your own schedule!)

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Perthshire. You will be involved in one-to-one advocacy along with group work across the area; this could be in a clients home or other suitable community venue, and be home based for telephone referrals and administrative tasks.  Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential. 

Full time Advocates will work 35 hours per week, between Monday and Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm.  Applicants who do not hold the Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy will start on £22,500 per annum.

- To be responsible for the overall financial health of the organisation, ensuring that appropriate budgets are prepared, approved, monitored and controlled and holding accountability for co-ordinating the work of the management team on funding bids.

- To work with the organisation’s appointed accountants to ensure best practice in all areas of financial management and compliance

- To improve current funding levels to consolidate and/or expand the organisation; working collaboratively with the Deputy CEO and Business Development Manager.

Strategic Leadership & working with the Board of Trustees

- To support and advise the Board in setting vision and developing strategic plans, providing the strategic context in terms of mental health, health and social care policy and practice, and funding options.

- Provide Trustees with an annual strategic/business plan; to lead the strategic planning process, developing and implementing a strategic plan for the organisation with the assistance of staff and volunteers, including financial, funding and human resources strategies.

- Ensure a long-term strategy is in place to guide Havant and East Hant’s Mind in achieving its objectives.

- Work with the Chair of Trustees to ensure that governance structures are appropriate, and that the Board and its Sub Committees are supported to have effective oversight of the organisation.

- Support the Chair of Trustees in ensuring the continued engagement of all Trustees.

- Advise the Board of Trustees on fulfilling their governance responsibilities.

- Produce reports as required by the Chair of Trustees.

- Develop policy proposals for discussion and decision by the Board of Trustees.

Legal compliance and quality

- To ensure that appropriate safeguarding and compliance systems are in place to meet the requirements of commissioners, Charity Commission, National Mind and other quality assurance bodies.

- To ensure that Havant and East Hants Mind meets its constitutional and legal responsibilities and that it has the necessary resources (human, material, financial) to meet its obligations and to operate effectively.

- To develop, implement and manage systems for setting and meeting quality standards throughout Havant and East Hants Mind’s services, projects and processes.

- Ensure senior colleagues and Trustees are updated on commissioning, policy and other changes that affect the business and service delivery.

- Liaise and negotiate with representatives of statutory bodies as required.

THE ROLE 
The Croft Woodlands Project is a partnership initiative between Woodland Trust Scotland, Point & Sandwick Trust, Scottish Forestry, Scottish Crofting Federation, the Woodland Croft Partnership, Shetland Amenity Trust, Orkney Woodlands Project and Communities Housing Trust. The aim is to engage crofters in woodland creation and management on their holdings to deliver multiple benefits in terms of biodiversity, agricultural diversification, landscape and environment. This role receives generous support from Point & Sandwick Trust.

The Project Adviser will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Croft Woodland Project in Lewis and Harris, and will engage with crofters, common grazing committees and other land managers to take forward woodland schemes. The focus will be on woodland creation, but the role will also involve the provision of woodland management advice. The Adviser will work closely with colleagues, the principal project partners and an external Project Advisory Group to develop relationships, deliver events, and promote woodlands on crofts. 

This role is a 0.5 part-time post (18.75 hours/ week), working closely with the Croft Woodland Adviser for the Uists and Barra and the other members of the Croft Woodland Project team. 

Initially, a company vehicle will be provided for this role, starting with a hire vehicle for the first 6 months in post. After this initial 6-month period we will review vehicle business use to ensure the post-holder is complying with the eligibility criteria as stated in our Company Vehicle Policy.  If the post-holder complies with those criteria, a longer-term lease vehicle will be sourced and provided.

THE CANDIDATE
With experience of developing and delivering woodland creation and woodland management schemes with a focus on island/croft sites, you’ll have a good understanding of woodland and croft grant schemes and of crofting in Scotland. 

You’ll have experience of advising and working with crofters, communities, land managers and woodland owners and of working with contractors and consultants. Self-motivated and flexible, you’ll be able to plan, organise and manage your own workload and develop ideas that further the work of the project.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Dundee and surrounding area. You will be involved in one-to-one advocacy along with group work across the area; this could be in a clients’ home or other suitable community venue and be home based for telephone referrals and administrative tasks.  Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential. 

This is a full time role for 35 hours per week, applicants who do not hold the Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy will start on £22,500 per annum pro-rata.

About you

The Gregory Centre for Church Multiplication (CCX) helps the Church make disciples in new and renewed ways. We work with willing partners across the Church to catalyse multiplication, equipping leaders through adaptive learning pathways.

CCX’s organisational structure is a hybrid management model, blending elements of both functional and project-based structures. Project teams are formed to address specific initiatives, tasks, or delivery projects. These teams are cross-functional, comprising individuals from different specialties, typically with a project manager working under the direction of a CCX lead. The two core teams of Operations and Media operate as shared services across the organisation.

Under the direction of the Bishop of Islington, a suffragan bishop of the London Diocese, CCX supports church planting and church growth work in London, nationally and beyond.

● Develop, implement, and maintain corporate policies, strategies, and procedures pertaining to finance, human resources, IT, data management, safeguarding, and governance.

● Ensure the capacity and capability to provide support services to CCX team and stakeholders, such as dioceses, church leaders, church planters, TEIs, and Together partners, by recruiting and retaining skilled personnel and providing necessary resources.
