What you’ll do
As Finance Executive, you’ll play a key role in keeping our day-to-day finance operations running smoothly; from processing transactions and performing reconciliations, to ensuring our partners are billed correctly and pay on time. You'll be a key point of contact for finance queries across the business, and your work will be essential to maintaining accurate records and enabling wider decision-making. You'll also play an important role in driving process improvements, and support the team by analysing data and producing insightful reports that inform decision making.
This is a varied role where you’ll get exposure to lots of different areas within the finance function of a SaaS company. It’s perfect if you’re keen to explore your interests and gain a solid grounding across multiple aspects of finance.
- Record, process and reconcile transactions for the company using platforms like Spendesk and Xero, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and categorised.
- Manage our finance email inbox, responding to queries from schools, universities and employers.
- Manage our accounts receivable processes, keeping track of overdue invoices, chasing partners for payment and recording received payments.
- Support our sales teams with general finance related queries and keeping their partner records up to date on Salesforce (our CRM system).
- Improve, streamline and automate processes within the finance function.
- Get involved with projects such as:
- Setting up a simple way to keep track of the subscriptions we pay for, and make sure we’re getting good value from them.
- Finding solutions to increase the number of invoices paid on time.
- Creating useful reports and dashboards on Salesforce to aid decision making.
- Support the Finance Lead to:
- Prepare the payroll for our accountants (including commission calculations) and manage associated schemes (e.g. pension contributions).
- Manage our accounts payable processes, making and recording payments.
- Work on forecasting and variance analysis to support business planning.
- Check through our quarterly VAT return.
- Manage the banking for our much smaller Hong Kong and US companies.
- Support the Head of Finance (your line manager) to:
- Create the annual budget.
- Support on ad-hoc projects and data analysis requests.
Who we’re looking for
You’ve got some experience in a finance or operations role, or you can demonstrate that you’ve built the relevant skills in another setting and are ready to learn more.
- You’re organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail that helps keep things running smoothly and accurately.
- You enjoy solving problems and thinking critically about how things can be improved, streamlined or automated.
- You’re quick to learn new systems and tools, you might not have used platforms like Xero or Salesforce before, but you’re keen to get stuck in.
- You take ownership of your work, following through on tasks and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- You’re proactive and hands-on, excited to go beyond your core responsibilities to improve how we work and help make it a success.
- Being a proficient user of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot table, x-lookup) is a bonus.
- Having an educational background in Finance, Accounting or a Business related discipline is desirable, but not essential.
Working together
We’re a small but mighty team of 3 within Finance (this role included). You’ll be line managed by the Head of Finance and will be working very closely with our Finance Lead too. You’ll also have regular contact with most people across the Unifrog, especially our partner-facing teams and the People team. You’ll also be liaising with our external accountants who take lead with the financial accounting and payroll side of things.

Key details
- £33,000 - £36,000 per year, depending on experience (Grade B).
- This position is advertised as Finance Executive, though internally it will be referred to as Finance Coordinator to better align with Unifrog job titles.
- Work remotely, or flexibly in our London or Edinburgh office.
- 28 days paid holiday per year (plus bank holidays).
- Working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 4:30pm on Friday.

ROLE SUMMARY
It is an exciting time to join the team, with income growing year on year and an increasing awareness of our brand through activities such as the recent Radio 4 Charity Appeal. We have ambitious plans and the Head of Fundraising will make a significant contribution to future growth; you will manage the Fundraising and Events team with oversight of income generation from various sources including major donors, individuals, trusts & foundations and a portfolio of events.
The role will suit innovative individuals with experience of fundraising from major donors and at least one of the other specified income streams, and event planning or project management.
You will represent upReach externally, acting as an ambassador for our work and building strategic relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders. You will be accountable for income targets, developing the fundraising strategy and identifying new opportunities.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Head of Fundraising will contribute to upReach's mission by meeting financial targets, recognising when to make the fundraising ‘ask’ and leading the annual budget process. You will use clear, creative written communication to produce convincing cases for support, represent the charity at relevant networking events, work closely with the upReach Development Board and act as an ambassador for the organisation.
Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and External Engagement you will manage three direct reports and support individuals participating in the Future Charity Leaders Programme (upReach’s graduate scheme). You will work closely with the Head of Partnerships, CEO, Programmes and Finance teams and other colleagues across the income generating and external engagement team.
The core responsibilities include:
Leadership and strategy

Lead fundraising and philanthropy to realise financial targets (2025/26: £2.45m).

Securing 5 and 6 figure gifts.

Commit to the annual appraisal process and develop stretching, SMART OKRs (objectives and key results) to meet our strategic goals.

Lead the strategic and operational planning process for the functional areas of responsibility and ensure the involvement of relevant stakeholders.

Lead the team on the delivery of a sector-leading events portfolio, to include income-generating events, and the Student Social Mobility Awards (SSMA’s).

Engage, steward and motivate key stakeholders including the Development Board, Patrons, potential event committee members and other high value volunteers to grow our network and deliver successful fundraising events.
Trusts, Foundations & Corporates

Oversight of Trusts, Foundation & Corporate fundraising strategy.

Work with the Senior Fundraising Manager to identify and build relationships with Companies, Trusts and Foundations which are mission and/or programme aligned.

Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships to build strategic relationships with companies that grow philanthropic and commercial income.

About the role
We are seeking a Head of Fundraising to develop and drive Iswe’s income generation strategy and grow a high-performing fundraising team.
This role is ideal for someone experienced and confident enough to lead the function with minimal oversight, but still eager to be hands-on. You will bring a good understanding of the climate, democracy, and systems change funding landscape, ideally along with existing funder relationships. IPSEA (Independent Provider of Special Education Advice) is a national charity providing free and independent legally-based information, advice, and casework support to help children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) get the education they are entitled to by law. We also deliver training to parents, carers, and professionals to improve understanding of the SEND legal framework.
With the Government expected to publish a White Paper that could significantly alter the SEND legal landscape, IPSEA is undertaking two major campaigns: one to protect existing legal rights, and another to make SEN Support a legal requirement.
IPSEA is co-leading the Save Our Children’s Rights (SOCR) campaign alongside Special Needs Jungle, Learning Disability Today, SEND National Crisis, SOS!SEN, SEND Rights Alliance and others committed to defending children's rights. This campaign was launched in response to reports that the government is considering reforms that could weaken the legal rights of children and young people with SEND; particularly the right to an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan in mainstream schools. It calls on the Government to retain the current legal framework, ensure the SEND system is properly funded and accountable, and avoid any rollback of statutory protections.
In parallel, IPSEA is working in partnership with the charity Contact to advocate for placing SEN Support on a statutory footing. Currently, schools have limited legal obligations to support pupils with SEN who do not have an EHC plan.
This campaign seeks to establish stronger, enforceable duties on schools to provide SEN support, alongside increased investment, so that more children can have their needs met without requiring an EHC plan
Consequently, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Campaigns Manager to coordinate this work - working with our IPSEA teams, amplifying our voice, and supporting our fundraising efforts during this critical period. The Campaigns Manager will play a key role in driving forward this initiative, engaging stakeholders, mobilising public support, and influencing policy outcomes.
Who are we looking for?
You’ll need substantial experience in planning and delivering successful high-profile campaigns, managing campaign budgets and evaluating impact. With strong project management skills, you’ll be able to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines. You’ll also have an in-depth understanding of public affairs, media relations and/or fundraising campaigns in the charity or not-for-profit sector. About the Role
We are looking to hire a skilled and engaging Education Officer to join a busy team, supporting the implementation and expansion of an established educational outreach programme, which reaches children in Scotland and Northern England.
At present, this post has funding for three years from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, 1.5 years of which is now complete and we are looking for someone to deliver the second 1.5 years of the project.
The purpose of the role is to extend passion and knowledge of beavers into communities around Britain, to engage and enthuse young people and to reconnect (or reinforce) their love of nature. Using and tailoring current materials and resources, you will do so by delivering high-quality learning sessions within schools, community groups or virtual training sessions, sometimes delivered in conjunction with beaver site partners and their education teams.
You will also be responsible for supporting wider aspects of the programme together with the Education Team, according to the requirements for each country and in partnership with relevant organisations
Key responsibilities include:
· Deliver a range of exciting, curriculum-linked workshops, non-curriculum home education talks, school and group sessions associated with beaver release sites.
· Run regional events and outreach activities to expand engagement in beaver education.
· Network and build contacts and relationships with key personnel in schools, youth groups and community groups in order to create engagement with the education programme and expand its reach.
· Support the development of further resources, activities and events specific to the country and region, and deliver existing activities for group learning.

The purpose of the Transport and Physical Activity Lead is to work in partnership with the four Transport Teams across the Black Country to integrate physical activity into Transport planning and delivery.
The role will focus on supporting the implementation of the Black Country Walking and Cycling Infrastructure Plan (BC LCWIP), ensuring localised improvements are considered further to ensure connectivity between communities and the active travel infrastructure being delivered.
The role will have responsibility for developing understanding of the walking and cycling landscape and community need.
The role will understand how the BC LCWIP needs to be able to capitalise on both available and emerging funding opportunities to help deliver the cycling and walking vision for the area. The funding, however, is not only limited to the delivery of infrastructure but also to ensuring the right resources and skills are in place to support local activation.

1. Be the lead advocate for the integration of physical activity with Black Country Transport to decrease physical inactivity and support health, environmental and economic outcomes.
2. Drive approaches to place-based work with local partners to support a whole system approach to integrating physical activity into transport policy & services.
3. Lead the development of high-quality relationships which enable a collaborative focus on local transport assets, interventions, initiatives, programmes and activities which create opportunities for people to be active and tackle physical inactivity.
4. Work with appointed strategic and learning leads respectively alongside other suppliers on the Sport England recognised ‘Place Based’ investment in the Black Country.
5. Role Summary
We are looking for a confident and experienced self-starter to join the Strategy and Communications division as the Government and Parliamentary Relations Senior Officer.
Your role is essential to support and ensure:
- Our relationships generate national and local engagement that helps us to advocate about the issues and practice that can enable high quality careers support for young people across policy debate and the delivery.
- We raise awareness of our work to the extent that our government and parliamentary stakeholders can articulate what we do and why it matters nationally as well as locally in constituencies across the country.

Your work will support the strategic communications and policy workstreams of CEC, ensuring the delivery of a coherent and effective political engagement strategy as part of wider joined-up external affairs approach for the organisation.
You’ll be expected to have a sound understanding of the political climate, a keen interest in current affairs and aptitude for identifying policy and political engagement opportunities for the organisation. You will work closely with CEC’s Policy & Impact Team to distil insight and evidence into government and parliamentary policy thinking and ideas.

Essential criteria:
- Experience in a government relations, policy or public affairs environment (previous experience of working in Parliament and autonomously with parliamentarians or ministers is highly desirable).
- Operational experience of UK political structures, processes and trends.
- Proven experience of engaging through the policy process – (1) developing policy ideas and (2) responding to consultations, strategy development and call for evidence from parliamentary committees. To do this you are able deploy evidence and stakeholder insight expertly to positively engage government and parliamentary stakeholders with a clearly framed point of view.
- Proven ability to engage working level stakeholders and manage political, ministerial and departmental sensitivities.

Role Purpose
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and motivated individual to join us in this newly created HR and Governance role at Dialogue Earth. We are seeking an organised and proactive person to provide day-to-day support across both functions, with around 70% of the role focused on HR. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, global environment while contributing to meaningful work.
The HR and governance officer will lead and manage the organisation’s human resources, governance, and compliance functions. They will ensure that HR function and practices are fair, legally compliant, and aligned with organisational values, and will support the Board of Trustees in fulfilling their governance responsibilities. This role combines operational HR management with oversight of governance processes, supporting a positive, inclusive, and legally compliant working environment.
Main Responsibilities
Human Resources:
● Coordinate recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions and contracts, applicant screening, supporting interviews and collecting references;
● Manage staff onboarding processes and induction material;
● Maintain and update HR policies, the staff handbook, and training records in consultation with the COO;
● Manage the HR system (Natural HR or equivalent) and ensure records are accurate and up to date;
● Manage EAP scheme, training, and benefits (e.g. Climate Perks, glasses benefit, Cycle to Work scheme);
● Coordinate staff performance reviews and support line managers with induction, appraisal, and probation processes;
● Manage visa applications for qualifying staff;
● Ensure compliance with UK employment law and monitor HR legislation changes;
● Support the COO in embedding EDI principles in operational practice.
Governance:
● Provide administrative support to the Board and sub-committees, including scheduling meetings, supporting the COO in preparing papers, and minuting meetings;
● Manage trustee onboarding, training, and compliance requirements;
● Ensure timely and accurate submissions to the Charity Commission and Companies House
Finance:
● Process monthly credit card receipts;
● Budget management, including preparation and expenditure tracking.
General:

Hourglass is the only UK-wide charity dedicated to ending the abuse, harm and exploitation of older people. We work to create a safer ageing society where everyone can age safely and with dignity, and where older people are recognised, respected and supported.

We are looking for a digitally-savvy, creative and data-driven Digital Fundraising Officer to help drive income and supporter engagement across all digital channels. This is a new and exciting role within our growing fundraising and income generation.
You will be responsible for designing and delivering effective digital fundraising campaigns – from planning and copywriting, through to creative development, audience targeting and performance analysis. You’ll manage content across Hourglass’s fundraising webpages, and support the delivery of integrated, multi-channel campaigns that raise vital income and increase the visibility of our mission.

- Coordinate campaign creative across email, website, social media and advertising platforms.
- Develop and test different formats and approaches to increase supporter conversion and retention.
Website and Digital Content
- Coordinate fundraising content for the Hourglass website, ensuring pages are user-friendly, up to date and optimised for conversion.
- Collaborate with colleagues across all teams to create informed narrative and ensure consistency in messaging and visual identity.
Design and Creative
- Produce high-quality and on-brand graphics, animations and digital assets using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
- Support the development of campaign visuals and branded fundraising materials for use across platforms.
Supporter Journeys and Data
- Build and optimise email supporter journeys using CRM and email tools (e.g. Donorfy, Mailchimp).
- Track supporter engagement using Google Analytics and CRM data, feeding insights into campaign development.
- Ensure all supporter data is handled securely and in line with GDPR and Hourglass’s internal policies.
