The Property Manager will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the management of a diverse property portfolio comprising of approximately 150 churches and 80 manses (houses) across the district.  The role provides professional property advice and guidance to circuits, helping to ensure that buildings are effectively maintained, developed and managed to support the mission of the church.

This hybrid role offers flexible working arrangements over 3-4 days per week, with the majority of time home-based and one day per week spent in the office.

Key responsibilities include advising on property sales and acquisitions, overseeing building improvement projects, coordinating repairs and maintenance programmes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.  The postholder will work closely with Circuits, trustees, contractors and other stakeholders to safeguard and enhance the District's property assets while delivering practical, cost-effective solutions.

Manage guardians

• Ensure guardians meet our criteria and ready for life as a guardian.

Manage properties

• Collaborate with colleagues ensure that properties are monitored, set up and managed in line with internal standards, client requirements and any relevant licensing or regulatory standards.
• Organise, monitor and manage the handback of properties to clients, ensuring guardian and client relationships are managed professionally and  effectively.
• Monitor budgets and spending on property issues, to make good choices about spending and to inform budget planning and risk management.
• Collaborate with clients on property repairs, major works or other issues.
• Provide clients with reports and information about their property as required.

Provide excellent client service

• Liaise closely with clients (building owners) to understand their needs and to keep them updated and informed about our work.
• Build strong day-to-day relationships with client contacts, working in a collaborative and service- focused way.
• Understand our client agreements and ensure that our service delivery meets the unique requirements of each contract.
• Identify opportunities to add value for our clients, encouraging the best social and financial value for all parties.

The Role

Overall Purpose

Duties Responsibilities

• Organise and conduct required maintenance at all Baca sites. The Deputy Director (Operations & Finance) is a new position in the organisation that will lead the day-to-day running of the organisation, bringing together operations, HR, governance, finance oversight and property management under clear, reliable leadership. Director of Finance
Salary: £80,000–£85,000
Location: London (hybrid working available 2–3 days per week)

Our client is seeking an exceptional Director of Finance to safeguard financial integrity and resilience, and to provide the strategic insight needed to maximise impact in a complex and evolving healthcare environment.

Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Board of Trustees as a senior member of the SMT, you will lead financial strategy, planning and governance, ensuring the highest standards of stewardship, transparency and accountability.

You will oversee all aspects of financial leadership, support the administration and management of investment and property portfolios, and partner across the organisation to support innovation, fundraising and programme delivery through rigorous appraisal, modelling and decision support.

This is a hands-on, high-trust role at the heart of the organisation’s leadership, strengthening controls and insight, enabling disciplined resource allocation and supporting sustainable growth.

We are looking for a senior finance leader who brings:

• A professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Senior post-qualification experience at Head/Director level within the charity sector
• Experience of investment and property management, and managing restricted and unrestricted funds
• Confidence operating at Board/committee level, with strong stakeholder skills and the ability to challenge constructively
• A pragmatic, analytical and collaborative approach, with a commitment to the organisation’s purpose and values

As a Trainee Energy Advisor, you will help householders access the support available to them. You will work directly with clients, giving clear, practical advice to help them to make informed choices.

This is a varied role combining client support with accurate case management. You will keep clear records and contribute to a service that makes a real difference to households.

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• Monitor the advice line and/or other telephone advice projects making and receiving calls from people who may need help with energy related issues.

• Accurately record client details and use your knowledge to assess help and support needed.

• Identify energy improvements that can be made to clients’ properties and refer to installers who can fit them.

• Listen attentively to callers and respond to their needs in an empathetic way during difficult conversations.

• Report any safeguarding or safety concerns promptly to the designated Safeguarding Officer, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken and documented to maintain client safety and wellbeing.

We provide clinicians, academics and researchers across London and beyond with the funding and resources they need to understand more, prevent more and treat more.

Our funding comes from the fundraising efforts of thousands of supporters as well as income generated by our investments in property and equity markets. We currently grant around £6 million each year – but we want to do more.
 
What you'll be doing
 
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Programmes & Funding Officer to play a central role in providing administrative and operational support for the Charity's Special Purpose Funds (SPFs). This position is vital to ensure that all activity is recorded accurately, that systems run smoothly and stakeholders receive an exceptional level of support.
 
You will contribute to the development and delivery of a bespoke fundholder service, enabling fundholders to maximise the impact of their SPFs in advancing care for heart and lung patients.

• Excellent coordination and organisational skills
• Clear and confident communicator
• Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders
