Schools’ Project Officer

We are seeking a gifted schools’ project officer for a key role within a busy team based in Dulwich SE21, Southwark. The work is varied and fulfilling.
You should be a graduate from a good university, enthusiastic and very well-organised, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work independently, manage priorities, work to deadlines, and take initiative. The project officer post involves presenting at school assemblies as outreach, working with students to help them prepare costed applications, handling draft applications by email, and accurate data collection and input. As project officer you will handle the whole process, from assemblies and schools’ work to the administration involved in getting roughly 800 students a year off doing exceptional things. You will need to deal efficiently and accurately with our administrative requirements, and have excellent PC skills – Word, Excel and Outlook. We would train you to deal with the work and our systems.

It's a Tuesday afternoon in a school hall in Luton. Multiple Year 9s are sitting in a loose circle, arms crossed, faces doing that thing teenagers do when they've decided nothing is going to impress them. Twenty minutes later, one of them- a boy who hasn't said a word in class all term, according to his form tutor- is on his feet, mid-sentence, telling the room what he actually wants to do with his life. That shift has happened because his Yes Futures coach believed in him, and in turn he now believes in himself.
Who we are
Yes Futures is a youth coaching charity. We put professional coaches in front of young people who would otherwise never get that kind of one-to-one belief and challenge: leadership coaches, life coaches and executive coaches, the kind normally hired by boardrooms. Our flagship programme, Rising Futures, works in secondary schools, where teachers choose the students they believe will gain most from it. That looks different in every school. It might be a student whose confidence has dipped, or one who has never once put their hand up in class. What we give them is the same: someone whose whole job is to believe in them, and the tools to start believing in themselves.
The programme combines one-to-one coaching with experiential learning days: from pitching product ideas inside a real company on a World of Work day to raft building and rock climbing on an Into the Wild day; experiences many of our students would never otherwise get.

Introduction to the role
- Reporting to: Director of Programme
- Contract Type: Fixed term (6 months, with a genuine prospect of extension into a longer or permanent role, based on performance and demand)

- Travel: The role will require travel across our partner schools and colleges in London and the South East. Currently this is as far west as Reading, south as South London, north as Luton, east as Essex.

This is not term-time only. It runs across the full contract, not just school terms.
Role purpose
The Programme Delivery Coordinator will be the person on the ground making Rising Futures actuallyhappen: in the room with young people, out on the experiential days that take the programme beyond the classroom, alongside our coaches, and in the relationships with schools that keep everything running. You'll combine direct delivery with the coordination and follow-through that turns a good session into a programme that holds together over months.

Stand Up! Education Against Discrimination brings Jewish & Muslim educators into the classroom to facilitate informal conversations with young people. Young people are provided with the tools on how to report hate crime, whilst developing their sense of social responsibility to their local communities and British society as a whole.
The programme has reached over 150,000 young people across the country since its inception in 2017 and has received recognition from the Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan, who funds the programme through the Shared Endeavour Fund. We’re looking for an experienced partnerships manager to play a key role in driving Oak's growth and impact by increasing adoption of its resources across schools and Multi Academy Trusts. What You’ll Be Doing

About the role
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Managing Director (MD) will provide both strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the organisation delivers its mission while remaining financially resilient, well-governed and responsive to the needs of the communities it serves.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Procurement, you will lead our financial control and reporting function across the Ark Schools network. You will be an excellent communicator who manages up effectively and who is comfortable working across a matrixed managed team. You will work closely with the Director of Partnerships in building relationships, systems and processes that support our delivery across regions and countries as well as working closely with key role holders such as but not confined to the Head of Partnerships Development, and Head of Programme for Vulnerable Children.
The Head of Partnerships Delivery will lead and coordinate our early years scaled programme delivery as well as ensuring activities to support delivery and development of our vulnerable children’s work are catered or within team processes and relationship building with strategic and local stakeholders.
This work spans the organisation – and will have a close working relationships with key stakeholders in operations on aspects of the work as well as to research and impact, design and innovation, growth planning, communications, profile-raising and income generation – and requires strong collaborative working to draw on skills and capacity in all these areas.
