Responsibilities of our Community Veterinary Surgeon:

• To support the Chief Veterinary Officer in the development and delivery of veterinary services throughout the Charity with specific responsibility for the South West/Wales and the West Midlands.
• Support centre and volunteer site management through visits, conferences, and meetings to ensure effective operations and adherence to veterinary and welfare standards.
• Collaborate with the Chief Veterinary Officer and other vets to develop and implement unified policies for cat welfare, treatment, and homing, with Trustee approval.
• Assist in training and educating volunteers, staff, vets, and the public; deliver presentations and work with Education and L&D teams to enhance training programs.
• Provide veterinary-related support and guidance to centres, volunteer sites, regional vets, the complaints department, and the Helpline.

About the Community Veterinary team:

• We are a team of 4 Community Veterinary Surgeons who are all regionally based providing veterinary advice to the Cats Protection network across the UK
• The Community Veterinary Surgeons report into the Senior Community Veterinary Manager
• We are all remote workers but successfully support each other through weekly catch-up meetings, in-person meetings and a strong team ethos of collaboration and case discussion
• We support many other teams across the organisation involved in the welfare of our cats in care. These teams include our operational colleagues, the cat welfare team and our team of regional behaviourists

What we’re looking for in our Community Veterinary Surgeon:

• Experience of working in small animal veterinary practice with associated shelter/charity experience
• Sound, current knowledge of feline medicine, contextualised care, animal welfare, veterinary medicines legislation
• Degree in veterinary medicine
• Must be currently registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to practice in the UK
• Able to work accurately and under pressure

About the role

Reporting in to the Business Development Lead (MCC), the role of Business Development Manager for the East and Southern Africa region is a key role is being responsible for securing new funding aligned to Christian Aid's strategy and thematic priorities. 

The role will lead business development efforts across the Multi-Country Cluster (MCC) and expand the Institutional funding portfolio and collaborate closely with and strategically advise MCC Head of Impact and Partnership & Impact Funding (PIF) team and MCC teams to develop donor engagement strategies, build funding pipelines, identify new opportunities, and establish partnerships to grow program portfolios. 

The post-holder will strengthen and maintain relationships with government agencies, multilateral organisations, institutional donors, and foundations, working in coordination with MCC Programme Portfolio and Partnership teams.

Some of the main responsibilities and accountabilities of the role are:

• Meet institutional Christian Aid income targets at the MCC level, actively contributing to PIF overall divisional goals.

Reporting to the Corporate Treasurer, this role will implement all aspects of corporate treasury policy, processes, controls, analysis and investment strategies including cash management, financing and investment activities, risk management, and loss prevention. About the role

Reporting in to the Global Programme Quality & Operations Lead, the Programme Cycle Management Advisor will play a key part of the Global Programming Policy and Practice Division.

Alongside the other Programme Cycle Management Advisor, the role supports advocacy, humanitarian and development programmes to meet internal and external standards (particularly CHS) to ensure quality, consistency and coherence.

The post-holder will support the Mult-Country Cluster (MCC) and global staff on all aspects of humanitarian and development programmes, including START Fund, inception of DEC and Christian Aid appeals (codes 3 and 4). The specialists accompany programme cycles from design to implementation and closure, including financial monitoring and compliance, aligning to organisational values and goals. At global/organisational level, the Specialists support CHS audit cycles, programme handbook development and embedment and capacity strengthening.

Some of the main responsibilities of the the Programme Cycle Management Advisor includes:

• Support MCC staff and partners to implement quality humanitarian and development projects and programmes in line with internal and external commitments (particularly CHS), including START Fund cycles, DEC and Christian Aid appeals inception aligning with organisational values and goals.
• Support MCCs and global staff to produce accurate expenditure and resource monitoring according to established timelines ensuring quality, consistency and coherency.

IMD is investing in our Alumni & Development efforts and we are seeking a major gifts specialist to join us in a newly created Head of Development role.  By leading a growing development team and working with key stakeholders across the institute, you could  expand our capacity to deliver on our mission of transforming organizations and developing responsible leaders who make a positive impact on the world.

As the Head of Development, you will work in lock-step with the Chief Alumni & Development Officer, and be responsible for shaping and implementing IMD’s development strategy.  You will also work closely with the Head of Alumni Relations, and build meaningful relationships with donors, alumni and partners, and secure philanthropic support for key institutional priorities. As a trusted member of the Faculty and Senior Staff team, you will play a central part in advancing IMD’s long-term vision and ensuring our continued global leadership.

It will therefore be critical that you bring a proven track record of major gifts fundraising, and experience of managing high-performing development practitioners.  Experience of working with donors internationally, particularly across Europe, will be important, as is your ability to successfully navigate and work through areas of ambiguity or “the new” as we create a step change in our fundraising programs to match our ambitions.  In return, you will be joining a committed team and enjoy the support of key colleagues and senior volunteers across the institute.

The role:

One post holder will focus on applications to trusts and foundations, the other on community, events and individual giving. 2026 marks a significant moment in the life of Blackburn Cathedral as we celebrate our Centenary. About You

You are a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with proven administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
