WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PROGRAMME LEAD (AYLA)
The National Society for Education (NSE) is both an NCI and a Royal-charter charity. It's aims are to support Church schools and the wider education sector by developing leaders, shaping policy and growing faith.
The NSE leads the Church of England's national work in education in partnership with 41 Diocesan Boards of Education and approximately 4,700 Church of England schools. We also support the national education work of the Church in Wales, which includes around 150 schools. Our presence extends to work with community schools and academy trusts, as well as higher and further education through numerous chaplaincies, providing spiritual support and guidance to children and young people, and to adults.
The Church of England's Vision and Strategy for the 2020s has three priorities, one of which is to be a church which is younger and more diverse. As part of this, the House of Bishops want to ensure that a flourishing child, youth and families ministry is within reach of every young person in England.
The NSE is working with the Vision and Strategy team to help deliver this vision through a range of projects in our 'growing faith' pillar which focus on the intersection between church, home and school; aiming to develop the faith life of children and young people, whilst also growing young leaders.
We are a dynamic team, working remotely from our homes around the country. We gather regularly online and also have in-person team days through the year.
What you'll be doing
The purpose of this role is to design, develop and implement the Archbishops' Young Leaders Award (AYLA). The AYLA is an existing programme that is offered across all key stages 1 to 4 to participating schools. The Award is completed by pupils and learners across England and Wales and is aimed at developing their leadership skills. The role is expected to lead and manage the effective delivery of this programme including design, quality assurance, engagement of strategic stakeholders and support the financial sustainability of the programme.

About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the coordination and administration of Outdoor Learning programmes. Working from a working upland farm in Cumbria, you will play a key role in ensuring apprenticeships, training courses, traineeships and Outdoor Learning sessions run smoothly.

About the role
The Senior Programme Advisor (SPA) in the Asia team will focussing on the delivery of a large 3-year corporate partnership started in June 2024 working on freshwater issues in Asia (with focus in India, China, Pakistan) and looking at palm oil production in Indonesia. The programme also has strong advocacy and learning components, and it is testing new innovative approaches such as insetting.
The SPA will coordinate and, when possible, lead on all programmatic input - including technical, financial, M&E - as well as overseeing the coordination and facilitation of other partnership delivery needs including advocacy and communications, science, learning and knowledge sharing. Working as part of an Asia Regional Unit, in direct collaboration with the Senior Relationship Manager in the Corporate Partnerships team, the SPA role is responsible for:
· Overall coordination of the partnership components (on the ground conservation in 5 geographies, advocacy and communications, research, learning and knowledge exchange), ensuring coherence and collective contribution to the overarching Theory of Change.
· Providing strategic programmatic leadership, oversight, support and advice on the conservation work, with a stronger focus on the work in India and Indonesia
· Identifying additional areas for programmatic development based on an understanding on the corporate partnerships ambition
· Liaising directly with Senior Relationship Manager in Corporate Partnerships team to represent the programmatic needs in the partnership and ensure consistent alignment between Conservation Programmes and Corporate Partnerships for effective partnership delivery.
· Convening and facilitating stakeholder engagement for effective partnership delivery, specifically on the programmatic side, including network partner officesin Asia, colleagues across WWF-UK, the wider WWF Network and where appropriate external organisations

On the ground conservation programmes are implemented by teams within network partner offices, the emphasis of this UK-based role will be on ensuring that all programmes are well designed, quality assured, contribute to the overarching partnership theory of change, and risks are managed appropriately, as well as providing strategic advice directly and by convening others to address identified resource and capacity gaps and playing the role of critical friend that can bring insights from across the partnership portfolio to strengthen delivery in each geographic region and the partnership coherence as a whole.

We are a small lively charity promoting the personal development of year 12s in partner schools, through challenging activities that they design, plan and finally undertake adult-free. We invite students (individually or in groups) to develop their own challenges well outside their ‘comfort zones’, and to be responsible for every stage of the process. We help them plan and manage risk, and give them expenses funding. Our award winners have climbed the highest UK peaks, cycled to Paris, performed plays at school, harnessed green power via a bike, among many other imaginative and ambitious projects.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an energetic, talented and reliable candidate for our schools’ outreach team, inspiring high-quality applications for funding from Year 12s in our 85 partner London state schools (20% of the total). There is scope to help shape our strategy. We are looking for competent project officer, ideally with experience of physical challenge, strong administrative skills and with strong writing skills: they will be comfortable working with students, and value personal challenge and development. He/she will be keen to work with a growing charity, and to support young people usually with a poverty of experience and opportunity.

Thus, we are looking for someone who is a gifted ‘crafter of worship’ and preacher, with deep sensitivity for Methodist worship in its varied traditions, passion for excellence in Methodist worship and creative strategic thinker. ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Events Community Fundraiser will lead the development and delivery of RABI’s community events programme, working closely with volunteers, regional supporters, and local stakeholders. This pivotal role focuses on organising and supporting fundraising events that unite our community while driving vital income generation. The Events Community Fundraiser will not manage every community fundraising event directly, but will provide the necessary support, training and guidance to ensure volunteers and local teams are equipped to execute fundraising activities successfully.
As a key player in our community-focused fundraising efforts, the Events Community Fundraiser will be at the forefront of fostering regional engagement and support for our committees and community groups, ensuring the continued success and growth of RABI’s fundraising events portfolio. This role will also be responsible for identifying and scaling key events that have the potential to be rolled out nationally, expanding RABI’s reach and impact across a broader geographic area.
With a strong emphasis on relationship management and supporter stewardship, the Events Community Fundraiser will spearhead the growth of community-led fundraising initiatives, ensuring that both supporters and volunteers (committee and non-committee) feel valued and empowered. Supported by both centralised and regional teams, this role will play an instrumental part in helping RABI achieve its ambitious five-year fundraising goal of £10 million.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Event Planning and Coordination: Organise and manage a wide range of community fundraising events (e.g. agriculture shows, supporter-led, community and corporate) from concept to execution, ensuring every event is well-planned and runs smoothly.
- Community Engagement: Develop relationships with local community groups, businesses and individuals to foster collaboration and secure event participation. Act as the main point of contact for community stakeholders and partners.
- Promotion and Marketing: Work with the Marketing and Communications team to help create event marketing materials to promote events and drive participation.

- Volunteer Management: Support volunteers with event planning, logistics and on-the-day activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring that expenses are controlled and fundraising goals are met. Monitor event spending and provide regular budget reports.
- Donor and Sponsor Stewardship: Cultivate relationships with donors and sponsors, ensuring they are properly acknowledged and thanked for their contributions.
- On-the-Day Event Management: Oversee the event on the day to ensure smooth execution, including coordinating logistics, managing staff and volunteers and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations, analysing successes and areas for improvement. Provide detailed reports on fundraising outcomes and gather feedback from participants to inform future event improvements.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments (Marketing and Communications, Service Delivery, Volunteering and Finance, etc) to align community fundraising efforts with RABI’s overall purpose and goals.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, GDPR and best practice standards, upholding RABI’s commitment to ethical and legal fundraising.
- Systems: Effectively use RABI’s CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) to track donor engagement, segment audiences and identify growth opportunities.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential:
- Proven experience in community fundraising, regional fundraising or events within the charity sector.
- A track record of delivering successful community fundraising events.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, equipped with the skills to engage and inspire a wide range of supporters, stakeholders and volunteers.
- Financial awareness and planning with the ability to develop and manage project-level budgets.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, capable of managing multiple fundraising activities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and digital fundraising platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
- Understanding of fundraising regulations, GDPR and best practices in community fundraising.
- A self-motivated, proactive and results-driven approach to work with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving and idea generation.
- Empathy with the farming community and an understanding of the challenges faced in rural life.
Desirable:

About the opportunity
The Training Officer will have a range of administrative responsibilities relating to Action Tutoring’s tutor training delivery and curriculum resources.
As Training Officer, you will support the Training Team by scheduling sessions in digital systems, organising and checking ID and DBS documents submitted by volunteer tutors, and responding to enquiries to support a smooth tutor journey. The role does not involve delivering training to volunteers
You will also support with managing the version history and corrections of our bespoke tutoring curriculum resources, helping keep our online library of materials accurate and up to date.

About the role
The Lab is now working with Demos, a leading cross-party think tank and the Lloyds Bank Foundation on a collaborative project to celebrate community-led change across the country. The project will seek: (1) to connect an array of brilliant organisations creating new forms of public services and (2) write a narrative that puts this community-led innovation at the centre of broader efforts at rethinking how the state delivers for its citizens. The project will work with leaders across civil society, academia and the highest levels of politics to demonstrate the potential for community-led change to generate national renewal.
We are seeking a motivated individual to take on the role of Project Network Coordinator. They will report to the Director of the UCL Policy Lab and work closely with the team. The post is fixed term for the duration of nine months either full or part time with the possibility to be extended.

About you
The UCL Policy Lab wishes to appoint a Project Network Coordinator to help draw together representatives of a vast array of community-based organisations currently innovating in public service reform. The Coordinator will support the project team to develop a core coalition to drive forward the work. The individual will work closely with both the UCL Policy Lab team, Demos and other project partners in the oversight and delivery of events that bring these organisations together so that they can share their experiences and expertise. The individual will also help oversee and coordinate the programme of high-level private workshops exploring the policy implications of these organisations' activities, providing extensive service support to attendees as well as supporting the project to build up a wide network of key stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities
- Work with Lab leadership to recruit members for a new network of community-led public service innovators from across the UK
- Support Lab and Demos leaders engagement with senior stakeholders in the national government and the opposition, as well as the local movement, to help share findings and drive political impact.
- Build relationships with the key individuals in this sector to understand their contributions and concerns and be able to share them with others
- Assist with the delivery of engaging collaborative workshops for members of this network and the project team.
- Conduct interviews with network members and draft policy briefs and memos for circulation to the broader network and the policy team.
- Track and report impact from the network for internal purposes, marketing and various evaluation processes (e.g., writing website content, newsletters and contributing to final reports)
- Work with the UCL Policy Lab team to help deliver operational support for the activities of the project, including: contributing to shared infrastructure and tools; working with the Communications and Engagement manager to deliver wider impact; working with the Team to co-ordinate delivering of world class policy events, including our party conference programme.
- Manage a front of house team at events including PhD students or equivalent on short term placements.

As Senior Communications Officer, you will be working closely with the Head of Marketing Communications to help plan, create and deliver, with the help of specialists across teams, the Trust’s annual communication plan.
You’ll be responsible for leading communications projects, campaigns and day-to-day activities. You will be delivering creative content and marketing across a range of platforms - both digital and offline –that support the Trust’s Wilder 2030 strategy and showcases the Trust’s work. This will result in bringing nature’s story to life in order to expand the charity’s reach into new and wider audiences and bringing new supporters on board.
You will be able to think creatively, within a fast-paced environment where no day is the same, as well as be comfortable delivering key tasks and mucking in when all hands are needed on deck.

Job Description – Key Responsibilities and Tasks
Responsibility 1: Leading Digital Channels
- Designing and implementation of SWT’s digital and social media content plan (for both paid and organic content) with the support of the Content & Communications Officer, ensuring it complements the Trust’s overall Wilder Somerset 2030 strategic goals and objectives, marketing plans, key campaigns, engagement and fundraising activity. Driving the high performance and growth of SWT’s social channels – ensuring increasing engagement and reach.
- Working with and supporting the Content & Communications Officer to create a calendar of high-quality engaging, range of content for sharing across internal and external marketing communications channels in support of the strategic vision, ensuring consistency in terms of tone of voice, branding, messaging and frequency of communications across all key channels. The Senior Communications Officer’s social media content plan will aim to grow all SWT’s social media and digital communities and increase organic engagement.
- Expanding reach to bring new supporters on board with the Trust’s mission, to get involved with SWT’s work across the county, take action for nature, and to grow membership and income.
- Working closely with the Website & Email Lead to understand and optimise user journeys and conversions between social channels and the website, and providing support and counsel to the Website & Email Lead with regards to the delivery of impactful email campaigns to support key integrated projects, campaigns and core strategy programmes. Also providing support and guidance on ensuring the website is as effective a channel as it should be as a central destination hub for social and digital journeys.
- Liaising with the Wildlife Trust (RSWT) central office to ensure central content and advocacy campaigns are delivered as agreed on local social channels with local messaging and that the Somerset message is clear, with the use of local case studies and stories.
- With the Content & Communications Officer, and liaising with external providers where necessary, providing brand design support for communications collateral, reports, newsletters, brochures, flyers, posters and presentations. Using appropriate software (e.g., Canva, Adobe, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) for a range of audiences, creating templates where appropriate for internal staff to utilise to deliver small-scale projects independently.
Responsibility 2: Marketing & PR
- Marketing opportunities including a range of channels from print, media, events to paid online adverts.
- Developing strong relationships with local and national journalists and be the lead day-to-day SWT media contact for press enquiries, with the Content & Communications Officer taking on administrative press office tasks and handling some incoming queries.
- Recommending and developing feature ideas for key publications working up ideas with colleagues across the Trust, selling in stories, and coordinating the provision of spokespeople, background information and logistics.
- Working with, and providing guidance to the Content & Communications Officer, creating and distributing targeted press releases or media alerts where appropriate, following up with key media contacts to maximise coverage and amplify SWT’s successes and impact.
- Be alert and responsive to the news agenda, keeping abreast of issues affecting the Trust and identifying PR opportunities and trends on social media that SWT can engage with, whilst also horizon planning for key contentious issues so as to provide PR support during crisis and major issues.
Responsibility 3: Project Management & Reporting
- With excellent project management and coordination skills you will work with internal stakeholders to design, coordinate and deliver bespoke plans to support a range of key projects across the year such as appeals, big events, campaigns and nature recovery projects.
- Working with the team to deliver any relevant communications training or resources to make available to staff.
- Supervising the monitoring and measurement of campaigns and their success, and reporting key KPIs to internal stakeholders on a monthly basis.
