What will I be doing?

• Manage initial and ongoing contact for low, mid value and light touch relationships including and not limited to; individuals, fundraising groups, legators, corporate organisations, and new legacy enquirers follow up and acquisition

• Provide excellent customer service to support fundraisers via phone, mail and e-mail, enhancing their fundraising experience and driving increased income and lifetime value

• Provide timely contact to supporters at various stages of their fundraising journey, providing reward, recognition, and fundraising materials as required to increase long term loyalty and increase propensity to leave a gift in their Will

• Support the development of a robust prospect pipeline of opportunities, identifying and cultivating leads with a strong focus on lifetime value to CRUK, re-engaging lapsed supporters and generating potential leads in collaboration with the Acquisition team

• Identify supporters with high value potential or specific stewardship requirements across income streams and pass relationships to the Relationship Manager to maximise income and build long term relationships, including legacy journeys

• Responsible for achieving agreed income target and support regional budgets by reporting on and setting monthly targets

• Work with wider divisional team and drive supporter recruitment and re-engagement

Overview of Role:

Church Army is looking for an experienced ‘Apprenticeship Programme Lead’ to implement, support and develop our Youth Ministry Apprenticeship Programme, focusing on developing practitioners to inhabit the qualities outlined in the Ministerial Formation Framework.

Church Army has been awarded funding by the Church of England’s Resourcing Ministerial Formation Innovation Fund and the 30K Project to develop a three-year pilot project to develop Level 3 Apprenticeship Training for Church Based Youth Workers. This is part of the Church of England’s 30K Project, to raise up 30,000 new children and youth ministers (both voluntary and employed) by 2030.

The postholder will manage programme delivery, resources, quality assurance, assessment, and reporting, and will act as the main liaison with dioceses, training providers, and National Church Institutions, including using the Church of England grant management system. You will contribute to the design and review of training pathways, teach and assess apprentices, and oversee Ministerial Formation Tutors. You will ensure that training is aligned with emerging practice and national strategy.

Salary: £46,085 per annum

Hours:37.5  per week

The Role

Having launched our Youth Adventure Programmes in Somerset in 2024, we are now looking for somebody who wants to take the next step in their fundraising career to build on the foundations of the last two years and significantly increase our presence in the county. 

As our Regional Corporate Fundraiser,  you'll be the driving force behind our local business partnerships, working with both large companies operating in the region and smaller local businesses looking to support their communities. 

Your role will encompass:

• Relationship building: Identifying and securing new corporate partnerships while providing high-quality stewardship to our existing Somerset-based supporters.

• Community Engagement: Championing our work in Somerset by giving engaging talks to community groups and networking with local businesses.

• There are four broad areas of expertise and delivery within the department – legacy marketing, legacy administration, in memory fundraising, and local legacy and in memory giving – with 16 individuals making up the teams.
• The teams are responsible for fundraising programmes that cover traditional legacy giving, Free Wills, our Cat Guardians service and In Memory giving for both people and cats.

What we’re looking for in our Regional Legacy & In-Memory Manager:

• Significant experience in a legacy and/or In Memory fundraising role
• Experience of delivering fundraising activity in a local/regional environment

• Management of income and expenditure budgets 
• Considerable experience of commissioning and managing external agencies and consultants
• Comfortable reporting and presenting to colleagues, senior management and external agencies 
• Familiar with CARE NG or similar CRM system 
• Experience of utilising in depth data analysis and segmentation for marketing purposes 
• Experience of line managing and developing diverse teams 
• Experience of working in a volunteer focused Charity
