The Job
Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Manager, this role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising team. The Church Engagement and Events Officer will play a key role in building relationships with churches, supporters and volunteers across Britain, Ireland and Europe, helping them engage more deeply with USPG's vision and mission.
You will lead the planning and delivery of USPG's events programme, including the USPG Conference, Founder's Day, In Conversation Dinners and the annual Carol Service, as well as supporting the organisation's presence at festivals, synods and other national events. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will help create inspiring and engaging experiences that raise awareness of USPG's global mission.
As the first point of contact for many church supporters, you will provide excellent stewardship, support and resources that inspire churches and communities to engage through prayer, giving and action. You will also contribute to the development of USPG's church engagement activity, helping to strengthen supporter relationships and increase engagement across the church year.

You are a confident and proactive relationship builder with experience in planning events and working with churches, supporters, volunteers or Christian organisations. You are passionate about helping people engage with mission, justice and the global Church.
An organised and effective communicator, you can manage multiple projects and events, build strong stakeholder relationships and work independently while contributing to a collaborative team. We are seeking a Policy Manager to lead IPSEA's policy and influencing work to achieve positive change for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families. Working closely with the Chief Executive, Head of Legal and Training, trustees and colleagues across the organisation, you will set strategic policy priorities and develop evidence-based influencing plans that support IPSEA's mission and long-term objectives.
Drawing on insights from our advice and tribunal services, legal expertise and the experiences of families, you will identify systemic issues within the SEND system and develop policy solutions that improve children and young people's access to the support and education to which they are entitled. You will ensure that IPSEA's policy positions are credible, legally robust and informed by the lived experiences of those we support.
You will lead IPSEA's engagement with government, Parliament and other key decision-makers, identifying opportunities to influence legislation, policy and practice at both national and local level. This includes overseeing responses to consultations, parliamentary inquiries and calls for evidence, as well as preparing briefings and strategic advice to support senior-level engagement and advocacy.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across legal, communications, fundraising and training teams, you will ensure IPSEA's policy, campaigning and public affairs activities are aligned and maximise the organisation's impact. You will also monitor developments across the political, legal and policy landscape, helping IPSEA respond proactively to emerging opportunities and challenges affecting the rights of children and young people with SEND.

Who are we looking for?
You will have significant experience in a senior policy and campaigning/public affairs role and have good knowledge of local and national government structure including the legislative process.
You the ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders including MPs, civil servants, campaigners and parents. You exhibit tact and diplomacy and can be impactful with people of varying levels and experience.
Your research and critical thinking skills enable you to analyse policy and data to produce relevant reports and position papers. You have experience of drafting organisation responses to government consultations and parliamentary calls for evidence.
IPSEA should also reflect the communities we support. In your role as a Community Keyworker, you will be working with women involved in the Criminal Justice System; those on Probation in the Community and those women being released from Prison as part of their Post Sentence Supervision; providing some in-reach and ‘Through the Gate’ support. You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide holistic one to one community support to women with a variety of needs.
About You:
To be successful as the Community Keyworker you will need the below experience and skills.
You will need to hold a UK driving licence with access to car that can be used for work purposes. A creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are confident professional relationship builder with have good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. Strong Administration skills and understanding of compliant behaviours also, experience of supporting. With good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions within the region.

About the role
Nightstop provides safe, emergency accommodation for young people facing homelessness through a network of trained volunteer hosts.
As Nightstop Volunteer Coordinator, you will help grow and strengthen this vital network. You will attract new volunteers, guide them through safer recruitment and onboarding, and ensure existing hosts feel supported, informed and valued.
Key responsibilities include:
· Promoting volunteer opportunities through community networks, local organisations, events and online platforms
· Recruiting and onboarding volunteer hosts, including interviews, references, DBS checks and home assessments
· Assessing applicants’ suitability and contributing to recruitment decisions
· Delivering training, supervision and ongoing support
· Building strong relationships with volunteers to support engagement and retention
· Developing partnerships with voluntary and statutory organisations
· Representing Nightstop at meetings and community events
· Maintaining accurate volunteer and guest records
· Supporting monitoring, reporting, data collection and financial administration
· Sharing learning and helping to develop best practice across the Nightstop network
You will participate in an on-call rota and occasionally work outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends.
About you
You will have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers, along with an understanding of safer recruitment and safeguarding.
You will also bring:
· An understanding of homelessness and the challenges people experiencing it may face
· Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills

Role Summary
The new KidsCan Connect programme aims to create moments of connection for children experiencing cancer and their families. The main areas of activity will be:
Community Programme - The Community Programme will provide accessible, inclusive activities for children, young people, and their families. The focus is on delivering a varied, geographically distributed calendar of events which will support families to develop networks of others with lived experience.
Hospital Activity Programme - The Hospital Activity Programme aims to enhance the inpatient experience through structured, co-created activities that support wellbeing and creativity. Starting at Manchester Children’s Hospital, and developed with NHS Staff, this programme will aim to make children and families’ time on the wards more pleasant.
Future flagship event - There are plans for a flagship event in the future (2027 onwards), which would form a core component of the programme. The Flagship Event is envisioned as a multi day, campus based gathering that brings families together for celebration, learning, creativity, and support.
The KidsCan Connect Lead will work closely with the Charity Manager in order to establish this exciting programme, organise and run activities and to create new ways to support young people and their families. Note that some of the activities and events will run in evenings and at weekends which will require flexible working.
