Watford and Three Rivers Refugee Partnership operates in the borough of Watford and Three Rivers district, providing support to refugees and others without status in the UK. The partnership has a full-time caseworker and two part-time support staff in addition to around 80 volunteers. It currently serves around 350 families and individuals.

The charity provides:

· A weekly drop-in session – currently Tuesdays 11:00-13:30 – for existing and new clients to see us

· Casework supporting applications for leave to remain and related issues

· A weekly social hub – concurrent with the drop-in – for any client to join us for company and activities

· Education for our clients, mainly in the English language but including help with literacy and numeracy.

The operations manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the charity, reporting to the committee and trustees, ensuring the organisation runs efficiently and resources are used effectively to achieve its mission.  They will provide a line management and mentoring role for the case worker and office administrator. The successful candidate would have had managerial experience, possibly in the charity, education, healthcare or related sectors. The role is a part time one – expected to average 2 days per week, and likely to suit someone retired from employment.

Specific roles for the operations manager are:

· Support of communication within the charity

· Supervision of the weekly (currently Tuesday, 11:00am-1:30pm) welcome desk, drop-in, social hub and casework operation

· Line management of our full-time caseworker and part-time office manager

· Support of elements of casework by allocating other volunteers, logistics etc.

· Making day-to-day decisions within agreed scope, for management of the charity

· Report to the committee (including trustees) at its regular meetings with status of cases and requests for decisions

· Advising the committee in developing the charity, helping work on core mission, vision and strategy.

· Working with our fundraisers to provide required information and guidance where needed.

The successful candidate would have experience in:

· Proven organisational and multitasking skills

· Knowledge and experience of regulatory requirements to ensure compliance (e.g. GDPR etc)

· Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

· Management of staff and volunteers

· Working with a volunteer committee and trustees

· Development of a business, charity or equivalent organisation

As Volunteer Company Secretary, you will be the "conscience of the charity," ensuring that our Trustee and Executive Team operates within its legal and regulatory framework to ensure our beneficiaries receive the highest standard of care and support. 

This is a vital role at the heart of the charity’s operations and offers the opportunity to help shape the governance of a high-impact charity. 

You will provide the bridge between the Board and the executive team, contributing directly to the Trust’s mission by underpinning strong governance and accountability at Board level. By ensuring compliance, transparency, and well-run meetings, you will support the Trustee and executive team to make informed strategic decisions that enhance opportunities, independence, and wellbeing for adults with neuro-disabilities. 

You will:  

• Manage our core administration, ensuring governance and compliance documents, records and processes are kept up to date; including managing filings with Companies House and the Charity Commission, and managing the conflicts of interest register.
• Support the Board and CEO with meeting management; helping to prepare agendas, minutes, board packs and maintain a robust rolling action log.
• Ensure good governance, keeping us aligned with legal and regulatory requirements; always advising best practice and updating the board on the Charity Governance Code.
• Support the Trustee onboarding process, helping us to stay structured and efficient. 
• Be the organisational backbone, helping Minstead Trust to stay steady, safe and well run.

What are we looking for?  

• Commitment to our Mission: an understanding of, or interest in, the challenges faced by those living with neuro-disabilities and a willingness to lead according to our values.

About you:

• You have prior experience as a Company Secretary, Governance Officer, or Senior Administrator, ideally within the UK charity or public sector. (Essential) 
• You have a high level of digital literacy (e.g., Board portals, MS Teams/Zoom, SharePoint).  
• You have exceptional minute-taking skills and the ability to synthesize complex discussions into concise, professional records.

This role is voluntary, but you will be supported by a professional team across Finance, People & Culture and Administration to ensure you are able to operate effectively.  Reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.

Tools with a Mission (TWAM) is a Christian charity dedicated to empowering communities in the developing world by providing refurbished tools and trade tool kits. Annually, the organisation sends more than 20,000 tools to support livelihood creation. By partnering with local communities and skills training centers, Tools with a Mission helps individuals achieve sustainable growth and self-reliance.

This is a part time, on-site, PAID hybrid role in Ipswich for an Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to the trustees and CEO by managing the busy annual calendar and schedules, preparing reports, handling confidential documentation and coordinating meetings. The role includes managing travel and expenses. This will be a month-by-month paid contracted position.

Experience:

• Executive Administrative Assistance, including managing calendars and travel arrangements.
• Experience handling Expense Reports and related financial tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

This role is hybrid based in Birmingham Third Space (687 Stratford Road, B11 4DX)

Volunteers are an integral part of Human Appeal’s success. They are the ones that create real change for those most in need. This is your chance to meet new people, gain new skills and experience and have fun whilst being part of a great cause.​ We are looking for a engagement intern to assist the fundraising and engagement team in developing events, project management and admin support..

Main tasks:

• Administrative tasks such as collating data, contacting signups for pledges, various challenges, deployments and events. 
• Assist with administrational tasks relating to fundraising

• Contact guests who have booked for events
• Research venues, catering and other fundraising related tasks for upcoming events

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our recruitment and volunteer coordination processes. In this role, you will work closely with the HR & Recruitment Officer to help deliver an efficient and inclusive recruitment experience, from advertising roles through to onboarding new volunteers.

A key part of this role involves maintaining accurate records within our CRM system to support recruitment and onboarding activities.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR and recruitment within a grassroots charity environment.

Key Responsibilities

You will support a range of recruitment and administrative activities, including:

• Assisting with the creation and posting of job adverts and volunteer opportunities
• Supporting recruitment activities, including screening applications and scheduling interviews
• Maintaining accurate candidate and volunteer records using the organisation’s CRM system
• Assisting with onboarding tasks such as collecting documents and reference checks
• Supporting the development, review, and organisation of HR policies and procedures
• Contributing ideas and initiatives that help promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
• Communicating professionally with applicants and volunteers via email and other platforms
• Updating and organising documents within shared systems such as Google Drive
• Supporting inclusive, fair, and transparent recruitment practices
• Attending monthly check-in meetings with the HR & Recruitment Officer
• Assisting with general HR and administrative tasks where required

• Essential Criteria

• Strong organisational and administrative skills 

• High level of attention to detail 

• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism 

• Good written and verbal communication skills 

• Confidence using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) 

• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines independently

• Desirable Criteria

• Experience using CRM systems or applicant tracking systems 

• Previous experience in recruitment, HR, or volunteer coordination 

• Understanding of inclusive recruitment and accessibility best practices 

• Awareness of challenges facing LGBTQI+ Muslims and other marginalised communities 

• Experience working or volunteering within a charity or community-based organisation 

• Time Commitment

• This is a flexible voluntary role that can be carried out alongside other commitments, provided agreed tasks are completed on time.

• Minimum of 2 hours per week, with the opportunity to contribute additional hours if available
