We're keen to hear from you if you'd like to share your experiences as a blind and partially sighted person and help build a world which understands the impact of living with sight loss.

In this role, you will be:

• Delivering talks to groups of sighted people about your lived experience of sight loss to challenge their perceptions and behaviours. Audiences will vary but may include local businesses, community, faith and voluntary groups.

• Making links with your own existing groups and networks in your local community that may want to be involved in reducing barriers to blind and partially sighted people.
• Building relationships with people or local businesses you know.
• Taking part in and sharing information about specific campaigns and initiatives to help remove barriers to blind and partially sighted people.
• Delivering talks on behalf of RNIB’s Social Action Team.

Support Our Fundraising Team & Give Back to Your Community

Do you enjoy driving and have a few spare hours each week? We’re looking for friendly, reliable Volunteer Drivers to help our fundraising team by delivering parcels to local post offices or parcel drop-off points. If you have your own car and want to support a great cause, we’d love to hear from you!

At Together Trust, we support children, young people, and adults with disabilities, autism, and mental health differences. Every parcel you help deliver plays a part in raising vital funds for our work — and you’ll be directly contributing to positive change in your community.

What you will be doing:

- Collecting parcels from our offices or storage sites
- Dropping off at local post offices or designated courier collection points
- Supporting our fundraising efforts behind the scenes – every parcel helps fund our vital services!
- Using your own vehicle (don’t worry – we reimburse your mileage!)

- Full UK driving licence
- We will do a DVLA check on your driving record

Thousands of cats each year rely on the help of animal charities because they have been abandoned, they have strayed or because there has been a change in their owner’s circumstances. Becoming an administration volunteer is just one way you can help improve the lives of cats in your local community. Our administration volunteers help provide vital admin support to our volunteer groups and teams across Cats Protection. They help keep up to date records of the number of cats that have been rehomed, collate supporter details and send out newsletters. ** Please note that this role is advertised as Hybrid as it may require you to attend some in person branch meetings. The majority of the role will be remote however applicants must live in the TN1 - 22 catchment area. **

Time expectation

Our administration volunteers usually spend 2 to 3 hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

Role Summary

As the Fundraising Coordinator, you will be responsible for helping create and implementing strategies to fundraise from both existing and new sources (individuals, mosques, grants etc.) with the aim of securing the long-term financial stability of Roots Academy.

Key tasks

Fundraising Planning:

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to achieve income goals.
• Identify potential new funding sources and opportunities for income generation.

Campaign Management:

• Plan and oversee fundraising campaigns and events, including direct appeals, online campaigns, and fundraising events at mosques.
• Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to develop compelling fundraising material.

Proposal Development:

• Research trusts, foundations and corporations for grant opportunities.
• Work with the team to develop proposals, supporting with grant writing when needed.

Budget Oversight:

• Work closely with the finance team to monitor fundraising budgets, expenditure, and financial projections.

Donor Relations:

• Support with Donor Communications in activities related to donor relationship management and stewardship.

• Experience in organising fundraising campaigns and events, including digital fundraising strategies
• Strong understanding of fundraising principles and techniques, including donor cultivation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate the organisation’s mission and impact to diverse audiences

Trustee of the Rose Road Association Charity – Voluntary Position

The Rose Road Association has been working with children, young people and their families from across Hampshire and the surrounding counties since 1952. The children who attend The Association have profound and multiple learning difficulties and physical disabilities. The charity currently employs around 200 staff and has a turnover of c£5m

The range of services provided includes activity schemes, residential short breaks, family information and advice services and community support to over 300 families in Hampshire and surrounding counties.

We are looking for people passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of young disabled people – could you become part of our dedicated Trustee Team?

Commitment

6 meetings annually in addition to occasional one-off events. All of our Trustees hold a lead role for a certain aspect of the organisation, this could include occasional additional meetings with Officers.

Youth Helpers work directly with young people in St John Ambulance Badger Setts and Cadet Units. By supporting our Youth Leaders to deliver a sessions across our range of programmes. In this role, you'll support the learning and development of young people into the next generation of health citizens. Youth Helpers also help young people develop their confidence, teamwork skills, self-discipline, and generally encourage them to strive to be the best they can be, as well as supervise and support other adult volunteers in their team.
