Trustees, including a treasurer, are needed for a leading charity helping people with dissociative disorders.
CDS UK (Clinic for Dissociative Studies) is a specialist service offering assessments and treatment for people with dissociative disorders and an independent charitable provider to the NHS.
CDS provides diagnosis, outpatient treatment, clinical supervision, consultancy and training all over the UK. We also participate in research and education, contributing to what we hope is a greater understanding of dissociative disorders.
Dissociative disorders typically arise in response to extreme and repetitive trauma and/or abuse in early childhood. Dissociation can be a survival mechanism and adaptive response to overwhelming and traumatic experiences, enabling an individual to endure life events that no one person could be expected to manage without a severe impact on their wellbeing. Trustees are central to ensuring that CDS provides the best possible help for extremely vulnerable clients.
At CDS, we are committed to a culture of continuous improvement and organisational development, ensuring that our services, people, and governance evolve to meet the needs of those we support. Our work is grounded in our core values of Respect, Choice, Compassion, Openness and Working Together, which shape how we collaborate, make decisions, and deliver impact.
To build a well-balanced and rounded board CDS is looking for trustees, including a treasurer, with expertise in any of the following:
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive Board that reflects the communities we serve. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, particularly those who are currently underrepresented at trustee level, including people from diverse ethnic backgrounds, younger people, disabled people, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those with lived experience relevant to our work.

About the club:
Saltire Thistle Football Club is Glasgow’s LGBTQ+ inclusive football club, founded in 2010 to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ people to play football, meet new people and be part of a community. Today, we bring together a diverse, mixed-ability membership and offer opportunities to get involved both on and off the pitch, from regular training and matches to social events, fundraising and community activity.
We are proud to be about more than football. We work with partners across the LGBTQ+ and wider community to promote inclusion and challenge discrimination in sport, while creating a club where everyone can feel welcome and involved.
Our 15th anniversary year in 2025 was a particular highlight. In addition to producing a podcast ‘The Saltire Thistle Story’ we were delighted to be recognised at the national Football v Homophobia Awards, winning both the Grassroots Clubs Award and the FvH Scotland Award in recognition of our commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion and our impact within the community.
As we look towards the next chapter of the club, we are excited to build on that work, grow our membership (which totalled over 70 in season 25-26) and continue creating opportunities for people to get involved in football, regardless of experience or ability.
To find out more about the club check out our LinkTree which links to our website and social media pages.
The role
Joining the committee of Saltire Thistle Football Club, we are looking for an Inclusivity Officer to champion our LGBTQ+ inclusive values, strengthen our relationships with the wider community and help ensure inclusion remains at the heart of everything we do.

Coordinate awareness and inclusion initiatives, such as Football v Homophobia's Month of Action.
Keep the committee informed of relevant policy, legislative and sector developments that may impact the club as an LGBTQ+ inclusive football club.
Act as a visible and approachable point of contact for members to raise feedback, ideas or concerns relating to inclusion and equality.
Work with the wider committee to identify opportunities to maintain the club’s inclusive ethos whilst ensuring the experiences and voices of our diverse membership are reflected in the club's development.
We are looking for someone who
Has a genuine commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion and equality, and understands the importance of creating safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces in sport, specifically football.
Is passionate about Saltire Thistle's purpose and values and is enthusiastic about championing what makes us unique as an LGBTQ+ inclusive football club.
Has an interest in, or experience of, LGBTQ+ inclusion, community work, equality, sport or related areas.
Is confident building and maintaining positive relationships with external organisations and community partners.
Is approachable, empathetic and willing to listen to the experiences and perspectives of our diverse membership.
Is organised, collaborative and willing to work with the wider committee to identify opportunities to strengthen inclusion and contribute to the continued development of the club.

Experience of working as part of a dedicated committee and contributing to the club's future direction.

About The Pinnacle Centre
The Pinnacle Centre is a third space in Birmingham helping young adults grow holistically. We work across three domains: personal development, sports and wellbeing, and community and belonging.
Vision 2030 is where that work is heading. We're building a multi-purpose centre in Birmingham — sports facilities, co-working space, an auditorium and a café — designed as a home for young adults to train, work, learn and gather.
Role Summary
You own what Pinnacle actually delivers to young adults — the design, quality and outcomes of our programmes across all three domains, and the week-to-week running of them. Events run the moments; you run the journeys people go on in between.
Key tasks
1. Programme design
○ Design a coherent portfolio across personal development, sports and wellbeing, and community and belonging.
○ Define the intended outcome of every programme before it is built.
○ Retire programmes that no longer earn their place in the calendar.
2. Delivery & coordination
○ Schedule sessions, facilitators and spaces across the programme calendar.
○ Prepare materials and resources, and host or support delivery.
○ Adapt on the day when numbers, rooms or facilitators change.
3. Quality & facilitation
○ Set the standard for facilitation, content and participant experience.
○ Recruit, brief and develop facilitators, coaches and speakers.
○ Observe delivery regularly and give feedback that improves it.
4. Participant journey
○ Welcome newcomers and make sure nobody is left standing on their own.
○ Design pathways so a first-time attendee has an obvious next step.
○ Follow up with people who have dropped off, and own retention.
5. Impact & evidence
○ Define success in measurable terms and collect outcome data consistently.
○ Maintain accurate attendance records and gather stories and case studies.
○ Produce the impact evidence Fundraising needs for applications and funder reporting.
What we're looking for
● Programme design or delivery experience in youth work, education, learning and development or similar.
● Outcome-focused — you start from the change you want to see.
● Warm and approachable; people should want to talk to you.
● Comfortable with evaluation data and honest about what is not working.
● Reliable weekly availability.
● Safeguarding trained, or willing to be.
What we have to offer
● Real ownership of a function, not a task list — you will shape how it works, not just execute someone else's plan.
● A seat in a team building towards a 2030 horizon, with a clear line of sight to the leadership team.
● Access to our network of founders, professionals, entrepreneurs and investors through Pinnacle's events programme.
● Training, mentoring and the opportunity to build and lead a team of your own as the organisation grows.
● The reward of building something in your city that will outlast all of us.
Please note: this is currently a volunteer position. Reasonable expenses for travel, equipment and refreshments are reimbursed in line with our Expenses Policy. As Pinnacle grows and funding allows, we expect several senior roles to move to paid positions, and volunteers already in post will be considered first.
