Women on the Frontline Ministries (WOFM) is a Christian charity supporting women affected by sexual exploitation, trauma, isolation, abuse and vulnerability through outreach, advocacy, practical support and relationship-based care.
For many years, WOFM has built trusted relationships within local communities across East London, working alongside churches, frontline organisations and partner agencies to provide compassionate, non-judgemental support to women facing complex challenges.
We are now seeking a values-driven and collaborative Volunteer Charity Manager to help lead the organisation into its next season of growth, sustainability and impact.
About the Role
The Volunteer Charity Manager will provide overall leadership, coordination and operational oversight for the charity, working closely with the Board of Trustees, staff team and volunteers to strengthen the delivery of WOFM’s mission and future development.
This is a varied leadership role combining strategic coordination, relationship management, community engagement and operational oversight within a grassroots charity environment.
The successful candidate will not be working alone. The organisation currently includes:
• a part-time Women’s Support Worker
• a part-time Social Media Lead
• a dedicated team of volunteer Outreach Assistants
• an active and supportive Board of Trustees committed to working closely alongside the Manager
The Board is seeking a self-starting individual who works well independently and is committed to supporting the successful candidate with a sustainable organisational structure as the charity continues to grow and develop.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operational Coordination
• Provide overall coordination and day-to-day leadership across the charity’s outreach programmes and activities
• Oversee the effective delivery of operational priorities, outreach services and community engagement initiatives
• Maintain and strengthen effective systems, administration and organisational processes
• Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers and trustees to ensure services are delivered safely, compassionately and effectively
Team Leadership & Volunteer Coordination
• Encourage, coordinate and develop staff and volunteers across the organisation
• Oversee volunteer communication, engagement and rota coordination
• Contribute to recruitment, onboarding and ongoing team development
• Foster a collaborative, values-led and supportive organisational culture
Safeguarding & Community Engagement
• Promote good safeguarding practice and help ensure safeguarding responsibilities are managed appropriately
• Build strong working relationships with local organisations, churches and support agencies
• Contribute to advocacy, signposting and practical support activities where appropriate
Partnerships & Representation
• Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners, churches, local organisations and stakeholders
• Represent WOFM at meetings, networking opportunities and community events
• Champion awareness of the charity’s mission, impact and future vision
Governance, Sustainability & Development
• Work closely with the Chair and Board of Trustees to support the strategic direction of the organisation
• Prepare updates and reports for trustee meetings where required
• Contribute to fundraising activities, funding applications and sustainability planning
• Help strengthen the long-term development and operational capacity of the charity
About You
We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organised and able to lead with empathy, wisdom and good judgement.
You may have experience within:

• ministry or faith-based leadership
• safeguarding or support services
• operations, programme or project coordination
• volunteer management or partnership working

Time Commitment & Availability
This is a flexible volunteer leadership role of approximately 20 hours per week, which we are happy to shape around the right person’s other commitments. We would suggest thinking of it as roughly 4 hours a day across a typical working week but how those hours are arranged is genuinely negotiable, and we are open to discussing an arrangement that works for you.
The role is hybrid, combining:
• remote and flexible working from home
• attendance at outreach activities, particularly on Wednesday afternoons for daytime drop-in sessions and Friday evenings for evening outreach
• meetings and occasional events in East London (typically evenings and occasional weekends)
• trustee and board meetings on a regular scheduled cycle
Reasonable, pre-agreed out-of-pocket expenses actually incurred in carrying out the role (for example, travel) will be reimbursed. Ideally, we are seeking someone able to commit to the role for a minimum of 6 months to support continuity and sustainable growth.
Support & Future Development
The successful candidate will work alongside a committed Board of Trustees, staff team and volunteers who are passionate about the mission of the charity.
While this is currently a voluntary role, the Board is actively working to secure funding with the aim of creating paid leadership and operational roles in the future. We cannot guarantee if or when such funding will be confirmed, and any future paid appointment would be made through a fair and open recruitment process. That said, someone who grows with WOFM and comes to know the organisation well would be well placed to be considered as those opportunities arise.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced, confident, and creative Volunteer Social Media Manager to take ownership of Influential Stars’ social media presence across multiple platforms.
This is a hands-on role for someone capable of planning, creating, and scheduling purposeful content that raises awareness, builds community engagement, and supports campaigns across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow Influential Stars’ social media presence across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn

Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN) is a UK-registered charity dedicated to reducing global malnutrition through knowledge exchange, research, and advocacy. Since its founding, ENN has worked at the forefront of nutrition thought leadership, enabling evidence-based programming and policy development to improve nutrition outcomes in low- and middle-income countries and crisis settings.
We work in close partnership with national governments, UN bodies, NGOs, academic institutions, and funders to strengthen the design and delivery of nutrition interventions. Our areas of expertise include infant and young child feeding in emergencies, the management of wasting and stunting, adolescent nutrition, and maternal and infant care for at-risk groups, including through our MAMI initiative. ENN also publishes Field Exchange, a globally recognised technical publication in humanitarian nutrition.

The Treasurer Role
Being an ENN Trustee is an important, influential and valuable role and as well as ensuring that we are an accountable and well governed organisation you will make an important contribution to our current work and future direction.
The Treasurer plays a vital role in overseeing the charity’s financial performance and sustainability; leading the Finance sub-committee (FSC) to inform the board in its decision making.
Specific responsibilities include:
· Attend quarterly Board and finance sub-committee meetings and contribute to strategic development
· Safeguard, respect and demonstrate ENNs values, policies and reputation
Required Knowledge and Skills
· Extensive senior management experience in finance, with relevant qualifications (AAT / ACCA or
· equivalent)
· Experience in overseeing annual audits, identifying and managing auditors
· Understanding of the role of a Trustee and how Trustees can interact with ENN’s Management Team to best
· effect.
· Experience of multiple income/project organisations.
· Experience in the not-for-profit sector is desirable.

Time Commitment – And our Commitment to You
Your commitment in an average year is likely to be 3 pre-fixed board meetings, each of half a day. Each of these are preceded by sub-committee meetings, usually of ninety-minutes, and each trustee is expected to allocate time to prepare for all meeting and participate in one sub-committee. The Treasurer chairs the Finance sub-committee. Other committee and ad hoc meetings and additional support will be arranged as agreed. We encourage active participation and engagement, and Trustees often give more time outside of this, on their own terms.
Trustees serve a four-year term, renewable once.
Board meetings are held virtually, with an intention to hold one facilitated face to face meeting at, or near, the ENN office in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, every two years. Sub-committee meetings are convened remotely.
Ideally you will join the Board in 2026, though we can show some flexibility for the right candidate, and in your first few months you should allow for additional time for induction and orientation (including meeting a number of the Leadership Team).
Remuneration
This is an unpaid, voluntary position. Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed for attendance at Board meetings and other Trustee activities in line with ENN’s policies. Some employers encourage and enable trusteeship as part of wider career development and corporate social responsibility; please check with your organisation and their relevant policies.

The ENN-led Operational Guidance on Infant Feeding in Emergencies has become the key global policy guidance and has been endorsed by the World Health Assembly, and our technical leadership and convening has facilitated real change in awareness and a new narrative, challenging siloed approaches to Wasting and Stunting management.
Our work has never been more important. Nutritional challenges are growing across the world; undernutrition rates may be slowly decreasing but other forms of malnutrition are on the rise. The positive progress that is being made is unequal and many countries are now facing the double burden of both under and over nutrition. Crises around the world are increasingly protracted and the historical and artificial silos of ‘humanitarian’ and ‘development’ don’t reflect real needs which are much more fluid. Emerging threats, such as the broader impact on nutrition of the COVID-19 pandemic bring new challenges to address.
At present our annual turnover is around £1.5m, we employ 20+ staff and engage up to a dozen consultants. With our 2024-28 strategy, we are keen to drive even greater impact by exploring new and innovative approaches and increasing our reach further still. We do so with funding in place from a range of institutional partners and private foundations.
As an organisation working across numerous technical areas relevant for countries experiencing high burden of malnutrition, we look to the board, and those trustees with a more technical focus in particular, to discuss new opportunities and challenges to ensure we maintain a responsive and balanced portfolio. Our History
Founded in 1996 in Ireland, ENN has a long and rich history in global nutrition. Following an evaluation of the Great Lakes Emergency in 1995, implementing agencies identified an urgent need to establish a vehicle for capturing programming experiences and preserving institutional memory in the emergency food and nutrition sector. This gave rise to ENN’s publication, Field Exchange, which was first produced in 1996, designed to stimulate critical thinking and learning, influence research agendas and cross-fertilise information and exchange. ENN was generously hosted by Trinity College Dublin for its first eight years, before relocating to Oxfordshire in 2004 and is now a UK registered Charity.

We believe in a new Renaissance for Europe and the wider world. Our mission is to bring the cultural and community spirit of Lys to life through accessible public programmes, including community events, educational initiatives, exhibitions, publications, artistic opportunities, and more.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organised, strategic, and solutions‑driven Head of Operations to build and oversee the operational backbone of the foundation. This is a senior volunteer role ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, designing systems, and ensuring that a growing organisation runs smoothly and efficiently.
You will establish our operational frameworks, develop internal processes, and support the coordination of teams across the foundation. As we grow, you will build and lead an operations department, ensuring that our programmes, volunteers, and leadership have the systems they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the foundation’s operational strategy, systems, and workflows.
Create and maintain organisational policies, procedures, and best‑practice frameworks.
Oversee internal coordination across departments, ensuring smooth communication and alignment.
Support project planning, scheduling, and cross‑team collaboration.
Establish tools and platforms for internal operations (project management, documentation, communication).
Monitor organisational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Work closely with senior leadership to ensure operations support strategic goals.
Build and lead an operations team as the foundation grows.
Ensure compliance with relevant governance, data protection, and safeguarding standards.
Support risk management, reporting, and organisational planning.

Fundraising and Communications Internship
We are seeking a Fundraising & Communications (F&C) Intern to support our peacebuilding mission through strategic communications, donor engagement, and fundraising activities with European supporters. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international development communications, while contributing to meaningful peacebuilding work in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.
Concordis Internships are designed as a two-way learning opportunity. We encourage interns to contribute the skills and experience they already have, while also exploring new areas of work and developing additional competencies. Interns are supported to take on responsibilities that align with their interests, learn new tools and approaches, and gain exposure to different aspects of fundraising, communications and peacebuilding.
As a F&C intern, you will work as an assistant to the F&C Manager and contribute to strengthening Concordis’ visibility, relationships, and impact. The work you do will be real, relevant and public facing. Our aim is that you will leave Concordis with enhanced skills, stronger career options, and practical experience that adds clear value to your CV — the more you put in, the more you will get out.
Role Information:
Position: Fundraising & Communications Intern
Location: Remote (working from home)
Reporting to: Fundraising and Communications Manager
Duration: 6 months; working three days (or 22 hours) per week (Flexible working hours; different time zones accommodated)
Start date: Monday 20 July 2026
Remuneration: Volunteer position. Concordis will reimburse reasonable expenses, including a small daily lunch allowance.
Role Description:
As a F&C Intern, you will support Concordis’ external engagement and income-generation efforts. You will work closely with the UK-based team and relevant Programme Managers to achieve this.
Responsibilities may include:
Gathering stories, photos and videos from programme staff.
Assisting with the creation of communications content (website, newsletters, social media, reports).
Helping design visual content and layouts for digital and print materials.
Supporting internal communications and programme communication needs.
Monitoring engagement metrics and supporting reporting on outreach activities.
Supporting fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and proposal development.
Updating and managing the CRM system.
Who should apply:
For this position, we welcome applicants who have:
A strong interest in peacebuilding, international development, or humanitarian work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
An eye for graphic design and some experience in using a design platform like Canva.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Confidence working independently and as part of a remote team.
An interest or experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or communications.
Skills or interest in one or more of the following: design, journalism, content writing, CRM systems, newsletters, social media, UX/UI, Squarespace (or comparable system).
A high level of fluency in English.
Concordis is a tri-lingual organisation, so any knowledge of French and/or Arabic also helps.
