About TreeAction UK

Tree Action UK is a not for profit community initiative dedicated to restoring local green spaces through tree planting and environmental care.

We plant trees in schools, colleges and on public land in Sussex. Our projects help support environmental education for young people, improve our local environment and enhance community wellbeing.

The Role

We’re seeking a Volunteer Fundraising Assistant to support our sponsorship and corporate partnership efforts. This is a fully remote, unpaid volunteer position. We ask that you are available to volunteer around 1 or 2 hours per week to help contact local sponsors by sendon out our brochure via email to local business, to promote sponsorship of for our community tree planting and maintenance.

�� Our Current Campaign

We’re currently running “31 Days, 31 Packs” (May 2026), aiming to fund one wellbeing pack per day. Your role will help shape and deliver campaigns like this.

Could you give one hour a month to hold a safe, reflective space for a team of bereavement support volunteers? We are looking for a qualified therapist to facilitate a monthly online group; a place for our volunteers to process, decompress and feel supported.

The New Normal is a charity that runs free peer support groups for people navigating bereavement, facilitated by a dedicated team of volunteers across the UK.

Our volunteers dedicate their time and energy to supporting others through emotionally challenging times, and we want to make sure they feel equally held and supported in that work. We are looking for a qualified therapist to facilitate a monthly online group session for our volunteers: a safe, reflective space where they can process what comes up, let off steam, and when required be offered reflective feedback.

This is a facilitation role rather than a clinical one. You would be holding the space, normalising emotions, and offering a warm, containing presence, not providing individual therapy or carrying clinical responsibility for group members.

What we are looking for:

— A qualified or experienced therapist, ideally with a person-centred or integrative background

— Experience of group work or group facilitation (desirable but not essential)

— An affinity with bereavement, peer support, or community-based work

— Warmth, groundedness, and the ability to hold a group with confidence

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone with a great eye for detail who enjoys keeping things organised and running smoothly. You'll be curious, keen to learn, and comfortable juggling a range of tasks from project support and research to evaluation activity. You'll work with a variety of stakeholders, so clear communication, confidence using IT, and an interest in tools such as surveys and evaluation platforms will really help you thrive in the role.

WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS VOLUNTEER 

Will you use your time and practical skills to help raise funds for the fight against unfit housing and homelessness? 

Will you become part of our Sunderland Warehouse team and make a meaningful difference? 

Whether you’re sorting stock, preparing items for distribution, helping keep the warehouse organised and safe or supporting with online sales, you will play a vital role in supporting our work. You'll be joining a friendly team in a practical, hands-on role where you can share your skills to enable our Shelter shops across the country
