As a Volunteer Fundraiser for unpaid carers, you will play a key part in helping Carers Trust Hillingdon & Ealing secure funding that enables us to continue and expand our vital services for unpaid carers across the borough.

Working alongside senior managers, you will help identify and apply for funding opportunities, assist with administrative and community-based fundraising activities, and represent the charity in local events. Your support will directly contribute to improving the quality of life for carers by enabling new services, resources, and opportunities.

Volunteer and join our Board of Trustees and help strengthen support, awareness and long-term sustainability for people affected by Chronic Granulomatous Disorder (CGD) and their families. Please note this oppurunity to volunteer as a trustee is open to UK residents only.

It is great if you have skills or experience which you think would beuseful to support our board, but this is by no means a requirement.We’re looking for people who are enthusiastic about us doing good work for the community and committed to helping us see this mission through.

We provide a full induction and training to everyone who joins as a trustee, and we also encourage interested parties to attend a boardmeeting before joining so you can see how we work.

Commitment from you

Being a trustee is an official duty as they have joint legal control of the charity and are ultimately responsibly for making sure it’s doing what it was set up to do. The CGD Society is also a registered company in England & Wales, so our trustees are also directors for the purposes of company law.We expect the following of all of our trustees, committing around one hour of time per week:

1.To attend our board meetings, which occur via video conference every two months. 2.To keep in touch via email, through an official email address that we will provide for you, at a minimum of once per week.

Our board meetings occur 6 times a year, usually on a weekday evening, and we provide an agenda with reading material two weeks in advance. We ask all participants to read this material and come prepared with comments and questions. Every input is welcomed, debates are encouraged, and all views matter.

We try to host one meeting per year - our Annual General Meetingor AGM - in-person at a central location, to provide an opportunity for our team to meet face-to-face. We cover all travel expenses for trustees to attend these in-person if they are able to.

We also encourage our trustees to engage with one of our subcommittees, which are smaller groups overseeing specific areas of our work, such as our nursing service or financial governance.This is optional, as we recognise that not all of our trustees can spare the time to participate.

This position is open to anyone with a keen interest in Friends of the Earth and our local campaigns in the borough of Camden. We are looking for people interested in environmental and sustainability issues and environmental justice in the Camden community who enjoy assisting in the organisation of events.

Duties:

The events assistants will provide support in our events as part of a team, including tasks like:

The Mindful Foundation is a growing UK charity working across abuse prevention, emotional wellbeing, trauma recovery, and victim support. We’re looking for a Volunteer Fundraiser to help us find and apply for grants to support our work.

You would mainly support funding applications and grant research for our three core projects:

• Think Different: Prevent Harm Through Education
A trauma-informed early intervention programme for children and young people aged 8–18 in schools, alternative provision settings, and foster care.

• True Power: Change Starts Inside
A behavioural change programme supporting offenders and helping reduce reoffending through emotional awareness and accountability.

• ListenApp
A discreet victim support app designed to help people experiencing abuse access support safely.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in fundraising, bid writing, grant research, or the charity sector, or someone wanting to build experience whilst contributing to meaningful work.

What you’ll do:
• Research grant and funding opportunities
• Help prepare and submit funding applications
• Identify trusts, foundations, and community funding streams
• Support the growth of an early-stage charity making real impact

This is a flexible remote volunteer role of around 3–6 hours per week. There is potential for the role to become paid in future as the charity grows and funding develops.

Join FARA, a charity with over 30 years of experience and 39 charity shops across London. Our FARA Islington shop is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Instagram Volunteer to help us keep our Instagram content fresh, engaging, and up to date.

By volunteering with us, you’ll directly support our mission, help promote reuse through donation and recycling, and contribute to a positive experience for our customers and online community.

The Role:

As a volunteer, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Creating Instagram content, including posts and stories
• Capturing photos and videos that highlight our activities, updates, and events
• Showcasing donation appeals in a clear and appealing way
• Helping maintain a consistent and on-brand social media presence
• Monitoring basic engagement (likes, comments, and shares)
• Greeting and assisting customers when required

The Volunteer:

We’re looking for someone who:

• Knowledge of using Instagram and current social media trends
• Is creative, visually focused, and confident taking photos or short videos
• Is friendly, approachable, enthusiastic, and able to communicate our mission online
• Is reliable and able to work as part of a team
• Has experience in social media content creation is a bonus, but not essential

Your Time:

Our shop operates from 10:00 to 18:00, and we’re looking for someone who can volunteer for a minimum of 4 hours either in the morning or afternoon, whenever you are available in arrangement with the shop manager.
