A little bit about the role 

Location: Hybrid, 2 days a week expected in our London Office. Those living outside the M25 can opt to not receive London Office Allowance and agree a more flexible office attendance pattern at offer stage.

Salary: £27,613.80 (£31,000.53 including London Office Allowance) plus competitive pension

The Academic Registry team, one of the sub-teams within programme management, is responsible for ensuring that participants’ academic  programme journeys are well-administered. The team are responsible for areas such as academic policies and processes (including for assessment and student records), along with several other operational aspects of Frontline’s academic provision, from attending and preparing data for examination boards or exceptional circumstances panels, to liaising with external markers.

The Academic Programmes Administrator will work to contribute to a first-class participant experience on the Approach Social Work programme. The post holder will be required to be flexible and adaptable in response to diverse requirements in the wider team through the academic year. A high standard of customer service is expected throughout, including at peak periods. 

Some key responsibilities include:

• Act as first point of contact for queries from various stakeholders, working closely with regional delivery teams to ensure that applicants, participants and Fellows (our programme alumni) are fully supported with the information they need
• Service online and in-person meetings as required, including scheduling, circulating papers, coordinating breakout sessions and writing minutes.
• Provide support to the academic registrar for all registry functions, including the recording of assessment outcomes and preparation for exam boards
• Maintain accurate participant records, ensuring that all data is maintained and shared appropriately and in line with legal and regulatory requirements

About The Role

We’re looking for a Temporary Administration Assistant to join us for the Poppy Appeal 2025, supporting one of the UK’s best-known and most meaningful fundraising campaigns. This is a great opportunity to play a key part in helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes, ensuring our teams and volunteers have the support they need to make this year’s Appeal a success.

Duties will include:

- Data entry - logging donor payments, recording communications and orders received from existing volunteers and new supporters and creating new records
- Mailing out letters and forms
- Interacting with members of the public and volunteers by email and on the telephone ensuring the charity’s high standards of customer service are maintained
- Coordinating selected Poppy Appeal collection activities at various venues in and around the Edinburgh area between 20th October – 11th November
- Banking and cash handling
- Overseeing the distribution schedule of the Temporary Drivers on a daily basis
- Occasionally accompanying the Driver whilst delivering and collecting in Edinburgh
- Supporting other members of the fundraising team with other administrative tasks when required
- Participating in Poppy Appeal collections at various venues around Edinburgh on Saturday 8th November 2025

You will have demonstrable experience using various IT systems (including Microsoft Office and data entry) and will be a confident communicator. You will have the ability to work to deadlines and offer a flexible approach in your work to the changing needs of the Poppy Appeal. A current driving licence is desirable but not essential.

Reporting to the Poppy Appeal Organiser, this role is offered on a basic contract of 30 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 3.30pm, with some flexibility required to meet business needs. Occasional weekend work may be necessary, including Saturday 8th November, 9.00am – 4.30pm.

Job description

Job Description:

· Work with the Programme team, to design and deliver educational resources, workshops and conferences including our Youth & Democracy, Rule of Law, and intergenerational change programme areas;

· Deliver Exploring Ethics and other Cumberland Lodge workshops as requested;

· Identify potential partners and collaborate with stakeholders related to programme activity;

· Produce funding proposals;

· Produce and/or editing briefing papers and reports when required;

· Produce digital content for online learning and engage regularly with the community engagement platform, including identifying topics, producing webinars and podcasts;

Person specification

You’ll have:

Essential Criteria:

· Undergraduate degree in a relevant social science or humanities discipline;

· Experience identifying and applying for funding;

Desirable Criteria:

· Postgraduate degree in a relevant social science or humanities discipline;

· Conducting research into programme content;

· Design and delivery of online educational material (e.g. podcasting, Arc GIS Storymaps, animations etc).

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Based at Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Great Park. (Applicants should be aware that Cumberland Lodge is not easily accessible by public transport). 

Hybrid working available, with a minimum 3 days a week in the office.

The role requires flexible working.  There will be some weekend and evening duties, including programme events, facilitating workshops for visiting groups, talks and tours of the Lodge (shared on a rota basis). Accommodation will be provided on site when evening work is required.

Working closely with the prison and their staff, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising peer opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.  

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and possess personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. 

This role will be prison based, working 3 days per week. About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for two Advocates to join our team covering Lincoln. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals. You will be home based for administration; therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential. 

Both roles are full-time role for 35 hours per week. 

About you

Desirably you will have some experience of working as an Advocate, providing welfare, supporting, or caring for Adults or young people who have support needs, ideally for those with a variety of communication needs, mental ill health, physical health issues, or barriers to accessing education and support.

You should have worked or volunteered in health, social care, welfare, support or care services, education or young person’s services, or advice and guidance.

How will you make a difference?

You will be responsible for ensuring the individual’s wishes, feelings, beliefs, needs, and values are met to create positive outcomes for the people you support.

You will support people to speak up for themselves and grow in confidence, equip them to understand and exercise their rights and options, and will assist them in the decision-making process relating to their care, treatment, and support.

You will work resourcefully and collaboratively with the individuals you support.  You’ll be creative in your approach to empower our clients by ensuring you meaningfully explain people’s options and rights to them.  You’ll support individuals to fully participate in decisions affecting them and will make sure they have their voices heard.

  How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community. 

When you need to travel for work, expenses will be paid (mileage or public transport costs).  

 VoiceAbility offers the usual regular manager one to ones, Staff forums and communities of practice depending on role. Team meetings with a mix of virtual and in person approach.

Job description

 

The National Flood Forum is partnering Rochdale Borough Council to deliver one of 25 national projects comprising Defra’s Flood and Coastal Resilience and Innovation Programme (FCRIP) which is managed by the Environment Agency and runs until March 2027. The programme aims to test and create new, innovative approaches to flood and coastal resilience that can be adapted and rolled out more widely as good practice and new ways of delivering positive change.

Our project centres on two frequently flood affected and vulnerable neighbourhoods in the Roch Valley in Rochdale district The communities are complex and include a high incidence of social, economic and environmental disadvantage. It aims to develop a more holistic approach to flood and climate resilience with better management of residual flood risks through new, innovative cross-sectoral approaches that also address climate justice and both flood and fuel poverty. The project will deliver a step change in flood literacy and community participation, increase peoples’ capabilities to respond to flooding, improve flood and climate resilience of ageing housing stock, enhance surface water management, neighbourhood water conservation, natural flood risk management and local green infrastructure and develop better financial resilience for homes and businesses.

This is an exciting role for someone who has experience working at community grassroots or who is passionate about people and working with communities. About the Role 

This is a key role acting as a delivery partner on our projects, working on streams of community work, and within the staff team.

Responsibilities 

• Projects and Workstreams: Outstanding delivery on community projects. 

• Community Engagement: Engage and empower communities, supporting and representing them and pushing for the best outcomes.  Being ambitious on their behalf and advocating for change. Supporting senior staff to develop and build community engagement work streams.  Draft and deliver reports.

• Experience producing consolidated statutory accounts under Charity UK SORP and managing multi-site international audits
