About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Chef & Nutrition Coach to join our brand new service opening in April 2026! As a Chef & Nutrition Coach in the service, you will improve their dietary habits, optimise health, personalised as well as creating meals for our diverse and marginalised residents as they seek recovery. You will need to understand ordering and budgeting as well as a strong understanding of food safety. A solid understanding of meal planning, dietary needs, and allergy control is essential, but your most important quality will be that you are a people person who is willing to engage with our residents as you tailor healthy and delicious meals to satisfy their needs and wants.
This service is an 11 bed, community based mental health crisis and step down service offering short stay, trauma informed support. The team will support our residents who are at risk of admission but can be supported outside of mental health hospital settings, by providing tailored support to them to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals, to live more fulfilled lives and independent living.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Planning, preparing and cooking food then serving this to residents.
- Plan and deliver purposeful workshops and activities for residents to participate in to develop life skills.
- Plan and prepare food for cooking on days when off duty.
- Ensure the kitchen is kept equipped with food supplies, equipment and tools.
- Maintain the kitchen and communal areas to ensure they are always kept clean and tidy.
- Ensure food and beverages are readily available for residents.
- Take ownership of self-development to stay aligned with industry and role specific requirements within the role.
- Budget Management: Work within the provided budget to ensure cost effectiveness.
About You
We are looking for someone who has a passion for cooking, food and nutrition, partnered with a desire to make a real difference to people's lives. We're looking for someone with a hands on approach to their work, able to take ownership and use your own initiative to solve challenges and support residents with understanding the importance of nutrition and diet in their daily lives. You will understand the marginalisation that people with multiple, complex needs face within society, and be driven to help our residents to overcome personal barriers.
What we are looking for:
- Someone who can plan and cook healthy, tasty and tailored food
- A good understanding of food costs and basic budgeting
- Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
- A good understanding of Food Safety and Health and Safety Regulations
- Someone who can share and teach basic cooking skills to interested residents
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ideally those who have faced challenges with their mental health

Stella Maris is the official maritime charity of the Catholic Church. We are looking for a Regional Port Chaplain for the East Englia Ports to support seafarers, fishers and their families.
In this unique and rewarding role, you'll be the welcoming face of Stella Maris in your region, visiting ships, listening to crew members, and offering practical, pastoral and spiritual support to anyone in need, regardless of faith or background.
About the role
No two days are the same. You might spend the morning visiting ships and listening to crew members' stories, help someone contact their family back home, support a seafarer in crisis, or offer a quiet moment of prayer on deck.
You'll also recruit and support a team of volunteers, work closely with other maritime charities and local partners, and build strong relationships with parishes, dioceses, and port authorities. You'll be part of a nationwide network of Stella Maris chaplains, supported through regular meetings, retreats and professional development opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Visit ships regularly to meet seafarers and fishers, responding to their pastoral, practical and spiritual needs.
- Provide practical help such as transport, communication access, and emergency or crisis support.
- Offer spiritual care to Catholic seafarers and facilitate the religious needs of those from other faiths.
- Recruit, train and support Stella Maris volunteers.
- Work collaboratively with other maritime charities.
- Maintain strong relationships with local parishes, the Diocese of East Anglia, and port stakeholders such as the Harbour Master, shipping agents and welfare committees.

Job Title: Night Recovery Worker

Salary: £26,200
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, working 12.5 hour shifts on a rota 21:30 to 08:30. You may be required to work outside these hours as well as bank holidays in line with the needs of the residents and service.
About the Role
We're hiring a Night Recovery Worker to join our team in Bedfordshire and help deliver our new mental health step down service, opening in April 2026. This is an 11 bedded, community based mental health crisis and step down service offering short stay, trauma informed support and psychologically informed alternative to hospital admission and facilities, forming part of the wider Urgent and Emergency Care pathway.
The service supports people at risk of admission who can be safely supported in the community, helping them overcome personal barriers, achieve their goals and access a range of opportunities, including education, community involvement and skill development. In this role, you will provide person centred, psychologically informed support, contribute to rehabilitation and reintegration and ensure the safe and effective running of the night service. You will play a vital role in admission avoidance, flow and discharge, supporting residents to rebuild their lives while maintaining quality, consistency, and contractual outcomes within a trauma and psychologically informed environment.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Being the main point of contact for our residents, helping to create and update their support and risk plans; Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents at all times
- Work collaboratively with external teams such as crisis resolution teams, community mental health teams, Inpatient Wards, and other crisis alternatives e.g. Recovery Lounges etc. We are looking to build an effective and knowledgeable staff team to deliver this exciting provision
- Supporting with the creation of tailored support plans in collaboration with the wider team and resident.
- Monitoring residents’ wellbeing during the night, carrying out regular welfare checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.
- Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities such as movie nights, cooking evenings, and games nights
- Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns when needed.
- Support residents with taking their medication and keep accurate records support plans up to date. Build good working relationships with colleagues and outside agencies.
About You

Summary
This is a unique opportunity to join one of the oldest charities in the UK in a flexible, part time general managerial capacity, supporting the Trustees. The ideal candidate will have a professional qualification in accounting, property or the law and is comfortable working with professional advisers across all these disciplines. The appointment of this senior role arises by the retirement of the current incumbent, and the role offers a competitive rate which will depend on qualifications and experience.
Background
The King Henry VIII Endowed Trust, founded in 1545, holds a portfolio of c. £80m in Equities, Bonds, Land and Commercial Property, part of the Total Return from which (£2.5m in 2025) is distributed in Warwick in accordance with its Charity Commission Scheme, as follows:
· 50% Anglican churches in Warwick and Budbrooke
· 30% Warwick Schools Foundation - means tested bursaries and community activities
· 20% as grants for the “benefit of the inhabitants of Warwick”
The Trust has up to 12 trustees (4 nominated, 8 co-opted), who meet quarterly. At present, there is a Clerk & Receiver (role being renamed to COO), a deputy Clerk (who deals mainly with grants and organising meetings) and an accountant – all part-time and self-employed.
The current Clerk is retiring and is a Chartered Accountant who has held the role for 16 years, during which time the Trust has gone through a period of change. The Trust is now in a stable stage, where the priorities are managing our financial, land and property assets in order to maintain our distribution. The role is being renamed to Chief Operating Officer to better reflect the role, and would ideally remain a self-employed role.
The typical work load is likely to require about 10-15 hours per week, which fluctuates and is focused around the quarterly meeting and annual accounts. There is potential for 2 areas of land to be included in the local plan which will create additional opportunities.
Role specifics
Financial Investments
· Liaise with the investment managers (Currently: CCLA, Navera, Savills, Royal London)
· Manage any short-term deposits with HSBC
Property
· Liaise with property advisers (Margetts and Cushman & Wakefield) to manage the Trust’s property (currently an office block, a pub, a shooting range and 3 blocks of farm land)
· Oversee St Mary’s Rectory. This is owned by the Trust and is provided free of charge to the incumbent at St Mary’s, through an agreement with the Coventry Diocese.
· Ensure any property sales or leases operate within charity law.
· Where land is in the Local Plan, work with advisers and/or promoters to obtain the best commercial deal.
Charity Commission
· Manage any changes required to the Trust’s Charity Commission Schemes and Orders.
· Ensure that the Trust operates within the limitations of these Schemes and Orders.
· Annual Returns
· Manage information on Charity Commission website
Beneficiaries
· Quarterly distributions – calculation and payment
· Liaise with beneficiaries as necessary
· Prepare reports for Trustees as required (e.g. Annual Grants Report, which will include analysis of other Warwick endowed charities and Annual review of Church accounts)
General
· Deal with all correspondence
· Keep Trustees up to date
· Liaise with professional advisers
· Manage the overall office activity
· Organise meetings – including reports for meeting and minutes
· Maintain website
· Maintain records
Skill set & Experience
The role requires someone with experience of dealing with financial, legal and property issues. Coupled with good administration skills, the role requires someone who:
· Is self-reliant and used to working under their own management
· Is competent in Microsoft Office
· Has good written communication skills
· Has good interpersonal skills, to work with Trustees, other staff, advisers and beneficiaries.
Experience in the following would be beneficial, but a candidate who is keen to learn would quickly pick these up:
· Charities, including dealing with the Charity Commission
· Knowledge of Warwick and its historical heritage
The successful candidate is likely to have a professional qualification in accounting, property or the law and is comfortable working with professional advisers across all these disciplines.
The Trust’s office is currently based on the top floor of Margetts (the Trust’s agricultural advisers), where all its records are kept. Some home working would be practical.
The role has some flexibility in hours, but there will be certain times, such as Trustee meetings that are fixed. A candidate who is able to be available for some time each day would be beneficial, as often matters need to be progressed without too much delay.

Community Rail Network is a not-for-profit organisation, working across Britain to support a growing ‘community rail’ movement. Community rail promotes sustainable and inclusive travel, coordinates volunteering and place-making projects, and brings people together.
Community rail is made up of 77 community-based partnership organisations, 1,300 station friends volunteer groups, and other community-led initiatives around Britain. Their activities range from creative projects with young people, to advising train operators on service improvements, to building travel confidence with families and marginalised groups, to biodiversity projects at stations, to promoting greener travel and tourism by rail.
Our enthusiastic team of 23 works mainly from home in different locations, but we come together regularly in person and online. We work collaboratively to advise our members, provide training, events and resources, run campaigns, and champion community rail and its insights via decision-makers and the media. Responsibilities:
You are principally responsible for supporting the delivery of a year-round programme of high quality, empowering training and development opportunities for our members. The programme will be delivered in line with inclusion and accessibility best practice, will be largely online with some face-to-face sessions and events.

Work with the Training and Development Co-ordinator to agree a rolling programme of training that supports member organisation capabilities and their impact on communities.

Topics will largely include areas required to achieve accreditation (for CRP’s) as well as good community-based practice for other member types. This includes but is not limited to training to support members with skills in creating and prioritising activity plans, project management, how to apply for grants and funding (including our own grants funds), how to prepare for an accreditation meeting, designing good outcomes and demonstrating organisational impact (including impact reports and use of social media), community engagement, volunteer recruitment, and co-production techniques.

Work with the Training & Development Co-ordinator to ensure your own understanding of these topics is current and identifying areas for personal development to support our training offer to be more robust.

Skills and competencies:
