Role Overview: 

This role is responsible for co-ordinating and developing Enable’s Mental Health programmes, including but not limited to Active Wellbeing; both group and personalised one-to-one exercise support for people with a diagnosis of severe mental illness.

The Health and Wellbeing Team are a passionate group of health professionals who empower people to make lasting changes to their health and wellbeing and improve their quality of life. Main Duties/Responsibilities:  

• Responsible for coordinating aspects of Enable’s Mental Health programmes. This includes planning, delivery, identifying areas for development, promotion, and reporting.
• Deliver one to one client and community assessments with adults with SMI.
• Actively participate in staff meetings to share best practice and develop thinking, knowledge and learning.
• Identify and build partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders to support the delivery and growth of the programmes.
• Working with Enable Marketing and Communications department to develop and deliver the marketing and communication plan. This will include press releases, social media activity, creating promotional literature.
• Attend and coordinate community events to network, present and promote Mental Health and other local wellbeing opportunities.
• Monitor and document income and expenditure, working within the programme budget. Complete financial administration tasks such as creating purchase orders and invoices, according to Enable policy and procedure.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of your work. Provide written reports, summaries and presentations as required. Collect feedback and case studies to evaluate the impact of the programmes.
• Assists in managing resources provided to support the departments work including staff, volunteers, materials, and equipment ensuring these are used and maintained effectively.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in working with people with Severe Mental Illness in the community or clinical setting and knowledge of how physical activity is beneficial to them. 
• Experience of conducting one-to-one assessments gathering valuable information to make decisions. 
• Experience in reporting safeguarding issues and concerns with regards to vulnerable adults when necessary. 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to converse with key people (including clients and the public). 
• Strong IT and web-based skills, with experience of using all applications within the Microsoft Office suite. 
• Holds an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in health, psychology, sport or exercise sciences (or similar) to demonstrate expertise.

Partnership Coordinators are the face of the Community Connections Lewisham team. Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

Deaf Unity is a deaf-led charity working to empower deaf people and champion their rights. We support deaf individuals to move successfully from education into employment and beyond.

About the role

This is a varied role where you will take the lead on coordinating, developing and promoting Deaf Unity’s training provision. Our training includes BSL courses, e-learning, and bespoke training for organisations.

You will manage the day-to-day delivery of training while also focusing on growth—building relationships, increasing bookings and expanding our e-learning offer to reach new audiences.

This is a key role in a small, growing charity, where income generated from training directly supports deaf school leavers, jobseekers and professionals. The work you do will have a clear and positive impact.

This role would suit an existing freelancer with experience in the BSL and/or training sector.

What you’ll be doing

Training coordination and delivery

• Managing enquiries from individuals and organisations and converting these into bookings
• Coordinating the delivery of BSL courses, training sessions and bespoke programmes
• Booking trainers, teachers and students, including exam bookings where required
• Acting as the main point of contact for learners, clients and freelance tutors
• Ensuring training is delivered smoothly and to a high standard
• Monitoring quality through feedback and evaluation

Growth and development

• Promoting Deaf Unity’s training offer and increasing sales across all courses
• Building relationships with organisations to secure bespoke training opportunities
• Expanding and developing our e-learning offer to reach wider audiences
• Designing and standardising training materials to improve quality and consistency

• Encouraging repeat business and long-term client relationships

Administration and systems

• Managing bookings, records and communication to ensure smooth delivery

• Working closely with the Services Coordinator to cross-promote training and service
• Monitoring income and contributing to sustainable pricing

About you

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident building relationships. You will be comfortable balancing delivery with growth and working independently.

About Adolescent Health Study

The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) is an ambitious new UKRI-funded initiative to establish a prospective, longitudinal population study that will generate a globally leading open science data platform and research resource. AHS aims to recruit at least 100,000 young people from across the UK and to follow their mental and physical health and wellbeing over at least 10 years. It plans to collect data through questions and measures; to obtain bio-samples for a wide range of genomic and other high-throughput assays; and to capture linked data relevant to health and wellbeing from participants’ health, education and other administrative records. There will be a strong emphasis on engaging with and involving young people, schools, parents and other relevant stakeholders in the design and delivery of the study, as well as on including young people that represent as wide as possible a range of backgrounds, experiences and characteristics. AHS will focus on enabling a wide range of research, including studies of the critical biological and social developments that occur during the transition from childhood to adulthood and the determinants of both mental and physical health and wellbeing in adolescents and young adults.

Purpose of the post

The Administrative Officer will play a key role in providing administrative, coordination and financial support across AHS. The role focuses on managing core systems, inboxes and documents, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and compliant. Acting as a central point for organisation, the postholder will coordinate meetings, support teams with routine administrative tasks, and contribute to smooth financial processes. They will help maintain effective workflows in a virtual environment, escalating issues as needed to keep daily operations running efficiently.

Main responsibilities

Administration and Systems Management

• Manage AHS central inbox(es) and escalate matters to the Business Administrator and Business Manager as appropriate
• Provide day-to-day administrative support including preparing, filing, archiving and retrieving documents
•  Manage and update shared digital platforms, databases and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Manage administrative functions such as task tracking in a fully virtual environment

Team Coordination and Support

• Coordinate meetings and workshops, including scheduling and logistics, for AHS team members and external parties as required
• Provide key administrative support during meetings, including business and study meeting minutes as required

Finance Delivery and Support

• Manage the AHS finance inbox, directing queries and escalating issues as needed
• Support invoice processing, including maintaining accurate records
• Prepare payment requests and documentation in line with internal processes
• Maintain up-to-date financial administration files across shared systems

Operational Delivery and Implementation

• Provide hands-on support to teams and managers in rolling out new tools, systems and operational processes that are critical for the success of the longitudinal study
• Support the smooth, day-to-day running of business operations, ensuring tasks and processes are completed efficiently
• Identify operational issues or bottlenecks, propose practical solutions where appropriate, and escalate matters to the Business Administrator and Business Manager

Knowledge, skills and experience

Essential criteria

• Experience of working in a health and/or data research environment
• Qualified to A level or vocational qualifications, or equivalent, plus some experience in a relevant role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software
• Able to manage information electronically through databases and spreadsheets
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the proven ability to prioritise and, at times under pressure, produce accurate work to deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to take ownership of problems and find solutions
• Understanding and experience of using finance systems (e.g. Sage)

Desirable criteria

• Experience of working in an organisation in its infancy or a start-up
• Understanding and experience of using project management tools and techniques

In this role, you will collaborate closely with partners, participants, and a team of skilled facilitators to coordinate programme planning, logistics and successful delivery, ensuring a high quality experience for all involved.

The key responsibilities of the role are to:

• Lead day-to-day programme coordination, ensuring milestones are met, project plans remain live and up to date, and risks or delays are proactively identified, communicated, and mitigated to support timely delivery.

• Act as the key operational contact for the programme, coordinating task allocation and communications with the programmes team, steering group, and wider stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality information flow aligned with project milestones.

• Coordinate monitoring and evaluation schedules and data collection.

• Coordinate steering group meetings.

• Coordinate communications and agreements with facilitators, programme contributors, partners and venues.

• Coordinate participant recruitment processes, working closely with the Programmes Administrator to ensure smooth application, selection, and onboarding in line with project milestones.

• Support the Director of Programmes in moderating applications and conducting applicant interviews.

• Assess learner needs and coordinate learning and accessibility adjustments in collaboration with the Director of Programmes; hold meetings or calls with participants and facilitators to understand additional needs and ensure a positive programme experience, and liaise with relevant colleagues on implications for delivery.

• Coordinate logistics for both in-person and online programme sessions.

• Monitor the safeguarding inbox and liaise with the Director of Programmes, Safeguarding Lead, and facilitators to agree and implement appropriate follow-up actions.

• Support logistics and administration for facilitator training and development sessions.

• Monitor and track the programme budget, support financial reporting, and collaborate with the Director of Programmes to ensure efficient use of resources.

• Conduct desktop research in line with the location decision framework when establishing locations for future programmes.

• Coordinate and respond to participant communications, working in collaboration with the Programmes Administrator and Director of Programmes.

• Work with the Marketing team to provide regular updates on programme progress, providing relevant programme information to support marketing and promotional activities.
