The Counselling Coordinator role is key to SEL Mind's exciting new counselling service for Black residents of Southwark, delivered as part of the wider Southwark Wellbeing Hub. This role will shape the Wellbeing Hub's provision to Black communities, expanding equitable access to culturally-appropriate support. The main working site is a community centre in Southwark.

As Coordinator, you will provide initial clinical assessments to prospective service users and coordinate a small pool of Trainee Counsellors, expanding future access to Black-led counselling. You'll line manage an Administrator who is responsible for scheduling and other practical elements of the service. You'll also work closely in partnership with Black Psychotherapy to deliver relevant, de-colonial approaches.

We are seeking a qualified therapist who is passionate about improving Black people's access to early mental health support. Relationships and partnership working is vital, so you should be able to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative. 

The role will involve:

• Undertaking skilled assessments of client needs and risks, taking into account the nature and complexity of presenting needs and suitability for short-term therapeutic work
• Recruiting and training volunteer Counsellors, ensuring trauma-informed work integrating spirituality and cultural values, using creative therapeutic modalities, and maintaining therapeutic relationships that honour diverse healing approaches
• Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of the service, bringing recommendations to support the SWH's inclusivity and best practice

This role involves providing culturally specific support to Black clients. Applicants must be able to demonstrate lived experience as a part of, and deep cultural understanding within, Black communities, and the ability to build trust with Black service users.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our service supporting Carers across City of London to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs. We are working with Carers from a range of cultures, and it would be an advantage to speak Bengali.

The team work holistically with Carers to understand their individual circumstances and level of need. You’ll carry out home visits and community-based meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Carers, families, and professionals. You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. The role also requires you to support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

Together with colleagues, you will plan and deliver the service’s activity package, including coffee mornings, drop-in sessions, activities, online and face to face groups, and peer support forums. There will also be opportunities to promote the service by attending meetings and forums, and to deliver training sessions to professionals and community organisations so that they have the skills to identify Carers.

Ashinaga UK is recruiting a Programme Coordinator (Maternity Cover) to support the delivery of the Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) leadership scholarship programme for African Scholars studying in the UK. As part of a mission-driven global organisation, the coordinator will play a key role in ensuring smooth programme operations, student support, and administrative excellence throughout the annual Scholar cycle. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and passionate about helping young leaders thrive. The coordinator will work closely with the Programme Manager to streamline processes, support events, maintain essential systems, and strengthen the overall Scholar experience across the year. 

The Ashinaga movement was founded in Japan in the 1960s and has since expanded across the globe, empowering over 120,000 orphaned youth with access to education and support to achieve their full potential. The Ashinaga Africa Initiative was launched 11 years ago with the aim of equipping future leaders for Africa through undergraduate scholarships and leadership development opportunities. Ashinaga UK is proud to be part of this global movement, contributing to the mission of transforming lives and communities through education. Our work is primarily in the UK through collaboration with university partners and donors.  

This role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.

Programme Coordinator

• Location: Hybrid. Candidates must be willing to travel regularly for programme activities and team meetings.

No Second Night Out provides a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough.

We are currently looking for two Case Coordinators to join our No Second Night Out Team in the following areas:

• 1 x Coordinator – Working across the East London Assessment Hub and Staging Posts (at Amhurst Road/Northumberland Park on occasion).

In the role of Case Coordinator you will work flexibly to support clients where they need us the most:

Role Description

The Programme Coordinator will be tasked with ensuring the smooth running of all student related events. • Responsible for the relationship management of the students - including the ability to understand needs, resolve issues and anticipating and creating a strong relationship on behalf of SEO-London  

• Responsible for managing student query escalations and to identify where there are opportunities to improve communication, marketing, or the type of events  

• Responsible for managing the programme inbox (where applicable)  

• Responsible for identifying creative and innovative ways to connect, educate and train students 

• Provide oversight of cv support, screening, and recruitment preparation   

• Responsible for attending campus events and representing SEO-London professionally with knowledge and enthusiasm  

• Organise mentoring and buddying allocations

• Responsible for ensuring that all information relating to the events and student data is managed within the GDPR guidelines and is updated in Salesforce effectively for tracking purposes.  Responsible for running reports to track and monitor events from the CRM. 

Required qualifications 

• A Law degree (LLB) or a combined degree such as Law with another subject

Skills & Experience 

We are looking for applicants with 1–2 years of experience in some of the areas listed below and a willingness to learn and develop additional skills: 

Essential 

• Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver engaging online sessions 

• Excellent business writing and organisational skills 

• Strong stakeholder management abilities 

• A keen interest in, and some knowledge of, an aspiring solicitor’s early career journey (school and university stages) 

• A collaborative team player with a “can-do” attitude, able to handle requests at short notice and work under pressure

• Ability to use Teams and Zoom, including creating and managing breakout rooms 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

About the Role

The Casework Coordinator will provide high quality, person-centred case coordination, advice and practical support to refugees, refugee families and people with no recourse to public funds living in temporary accommodation or transitioning into longer-term housing. The postholder will manage a caseload of individuals and families, undertaking assessments, developing personalised support plans and coordinating access to housing, health, education, financial and other support services to promote stability, independence and positive integration outcomes.

Working as part of the London Borough Outcomes Partnership, the postholder will collaborate with local authorities, delivery partners and community organisations to support successful move-on from temporary accommodation, improve access to services and contribute to the achievement of contractual outcomes. 

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week.

We're looking for a creative, organised and people-focused Marketing & Events Coordinator to help tell our story — through engaging events, exhibitions and content that show what our learners achieve.

What you'll be doing

This is a genuinely varied role at the heart of college life. One week you might be coordinating a private view in our gallery; the next, capturing learner stories at our awards evening or helping welcome hundreds of visitors at an open day.

In this varied role, you'll:

• Help plan and deliver open days, exhibitions, private views, learner awards, craft fairs and other college events
• Create and schedule content for our website and social channels, capturing learner stories, photos and video along the way
