Job Description
Reporting to the CEO, the job holder will work closely with the CEO, the executive team and the board on a variety of tasks to help TOTSCo achieve maturity in its governance, decision making and strategy and more generally as an organisation. Tasks include:
- Forward-planning board agendas in the light of strategic and operational priorities
- Preparing papers for board consideration under direction, including appropriate analysis and recommendations
- Support strategic development and implementation
- Preparing periodic board off-site strategy meetings
- Support board committees (e.g. Remco, ARC) in meeting preparation
- Development, management and review of organisational policies, including development of the staff handbook

The Role
As an experienced campaign manager and copy-writer, you will support the Experience team to develop and deliver marketing approaches and journey communications, primarily for beneficiary and health/social care professional audiences. NEA’s Benefits Entitlements and Claims Support Officers are empathetic, polite and have good listening skills but are also knowledgeable, assertive, and confident. The post holder will be responsible for giving comprehensive benefit entitlement advice and support to householders. The post holder will obtain relevant information about a client’s circumstances and offer accurate guidance about potential eligibility for additional benefit entitlements. This will include the completion of application forms as appropriate. Advice will be given over the phone, via online contact and in face-to-face settings where appropriate.
What you will need to succeed
You will have a good understanding of Welfare Rights, including entitlements, systems, claim processes and current legislation and practices. Demonstrable experience of providing advice via telephone and face to face.
You will need good organisational skills, excellent communication skills as well as an understanding of the needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders.

As Local Mobilisation Officer, you will support the delivery of our ambitious programme to mobilise food banks in the Trussell network to campaign for change. You will support the development and delivery of campaign content and resources for our food bank network, leading on specific elements as required and ensuring people with lived experience are at the heart of their campaigning. You will be a central point of contact for food banks engaged in Trussell policy campaigns, working with them to ensure that content and actions are accessible to our whole network. · Development of high-level campaigns content:
Supporting content creation for communications to food banks, briefings, training sessions, and other digital and physical resources. Lead on specific elements/projects as required.

Ensuring that food banks have: a direct point of contact as actions are developed and during mobilisation periods for queries, and receive support and campaign materials on time. Duties and responsibilities:
The purpose of the Programme Officer role is to support the successful delivery of the In2STEM Programme. As Senior Programme Officer you will build and access networks that support education settings to connect with nature through the programme, and build skills for engaging and influencing nature on their estate. The Senior Programme Officer will also manage a programme officer to enable a broad range of schools and education settings to participate in the programme. As a regional team you will work to establish widespread, meaningful and sustained engagement with the programme.
Reporting to the Nature Park Senior Programme and Partnerships Manager, you will map schools in the London region to identify priority areas, and connect with senior school leaders across the region to engage them with the programme. You will develop partnerships and networks at a regional level with local authorities, businesses, and organisations in the education and charity sectors to provide additional support for schools and help sustain them on their Nature Park journey. You will work with the central programme team and partnership to build support systems for schools and settings that address barriers to participation, which may involve training and tapping in to existing volunteer networks and running events.
We are looking for a collaborative, creative individual with a passion for plants and the environment; someone who is experienced at partnership development and with a proven track record in project management.
You will work within a multidisciplinary project group including partners and colleagues with specialist scientific and community engagement knowledge and skills. The National Education Nature Park engages children, young people and their educators with nature, supporting young people in England to play a driving role in mapping and monitoring biodiversity on their grounds using citizen science and, critically, taking action to enhance it.
From creating pollinator friendly habitats where biodiversity can thrive, to creating planting schemes that support climate resilience. The project will showcase what can be achieved on the Education estate.
