Ashinaga UK is recruiting a Programme Coordinator (Maternity Cover) to support the delivery of the Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) leadership scholarship programme for African Scholars studying in the UK. As part of a mission-driven global organisation, the coordinator will play a key role in ensuring smooth programme operations, student support, and administrative excellence throughout the annual Scholar cycle. The coordinator will work closely with the Programme Manager to streamline processes, support events, maintain essential systems, and strengthen the overall Scholar experience across the year.
The Ashinaga movement was founded in Japan in the 1960s and has since expanded across the globe, empowering over 120,000 orphaned youth with access to education and support to achieve their full potential. The Ashinaga Africa Initiative was launched 11 years ago with the aim of equipping future leaders for Africa through undergraduate scholarships and leadership development opportunities. Ashinaga UK is proud to be part of this global movement, contributing to the mission of transforming lives and communities through education. Our work is primarily in the UK through collaboration with university partners and donors.
This role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.
Programme Coordinator
- Location: Hybrid. Candidates must be willing to travel regularly for programme activities and team meetings.
- Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional work on weekends or evenings.
- Hiring Date: mid to end August 2026 (fixed term 12-month contract, Maternity Cover).
- Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 dependent on candidate’s experience.
- Pension: You will be enrolled in our Personal Pension Scheme and Ashinaga UK will match your contributions by up to 8% of your basic salary.
- Holiday allowance: 24 days per annum (pro rata - in addition to public holidays).
- Probation: The postholder will be subject to a three-month probation period.

Key Responsibilities
Programme Coordination & Operations
- Support the end-to-end delivery of Ashinaga UK’s annual programme cycle (including university preparation camps, inductions, monthly calls, workshops, summits, and graduation activities).
- Deliver administrative logistics, schedules, venues, travel arrangements, and programme communications.
- Coordinate event speaker invitations, facilitator briefs, and session materials.
- Track Scholar attendance, progress and compliance across the year.
- Draft Scholar-facing policies to support effective delivery of the programme.
- Supporting with university admission processes and student visa applications.
Scholar Support
- Support Scholars in their academic, personal and professional development through the AAI leadership framework, including check-ins, coaching and progress tracking.
- Assist in the development, organisation, and delivery of student support programming such as leadership events, workshops, and one-on-one coaching call logistics.
- Support Scholars as they develop their Ashinaga Proposal social impact projects.
Data & Systems Management
- Maintain programme records, databases, and reporting tools (including through our Scholar App, CRM, and internal systems).
- Support line-manager in monitoring programme KPIs and documenting insights.
Communication
- Write articles, Scholar profiles, and programme updates for use on the Ashinaga UK website, newsletters, and external reports.
- Create multimedia content (photos, short videos, social media material) to showcase Scholar stories and impact

Project Coordinator (Boys’ Development Team)
As a Project Coordinator you will be responsible for delivering a range of services in primary and secondary schools, supporting FM development and transitional work with boys and young men. The post holder will support the Head of Programme (Boys’ Development Team) with formulating a strategy for developing this work across localities, in line with FM’s vision, mission and values and business plan. A key element will be to support new developments, identify best practice in conflict management work and embed these in current services.
Key Responsibilities
Project Work

About the role
This is a key role to help drive RFUK’s income generation and donor engagement. As Fundraising Coordinator, you will play a key role in the delivery of RFUK’s fundraising strategy to sustain and broaden the organisation’s scale and impact.

East of England – with travel across the region
We are looking to recruit a Mentoring Programme Co-ordinator that will work to expand The Salvation Army’s Starfish programme across the East of England Division. Starfish is a mentoring programme designed to work with children and young people in schools, aged 9-16 years.
Working within a school’s student wellbeing support, Starfish provides committed and trusted adults (mentors) to work with young people who need Early Help without which they would be at risk of not meeting their full potential. Their identified needs may relate to their health, educational or social development.
Key responsibilities:
- Establish and grow the Starfish Schools Mentoring Programme within local primary and secondary schools ensuring efficient and effective delivery and monitoring.
- Recruit and support volunteer Starfish mentors from the local Salvation Army corps and other churches in line with Salvation Army volunteer and Safe & Sound guidelines.
- Support and supervise volunteer coordinators / mentors including identifying and facilitating relevant training.

A registered charity, Wikimedia UK is the national chapter of the global Wikimedia movement. We work with volunteers, communities and partners across the UK to build and improve Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects, so that everyone can access and contribute to reliable, open knowledge. We empower people to find, use, evaluate, and communicate information online and we advocate for a digital ecosystem that is open, equitable and democratic.
Background:
Programme Coordinators at Wikimedia UK lead on partnership work, relationship development, training delivery and volunteer support, usually within particular geographic or topic areas. We are looking to recruit for a fixed-term, two-year role to deliver and develop our activities in Scotland, and support the wider Programmes team in delivering UK-wide work. For example in 2026, we are planning celebration events across the country for Wikipedia’s 25th, and the post-holder may be involved in their delivery. Apart from the delivery focus on Scotland, there will be scope to get involved with other areas of Wikimedia UK’s programmatic work such as delivering training in other parts of the UK, or supporting minoritised languages (particularly the indigenous languages of the UK), depending on programmatic needs.
We have had dedicated staff support for activity in Scotland for nearly a decade, and have several successful and ongoing partnerships with a number of educational and cultural institutions, as well as community organisations. Whilst the focus of this role is primarily on Scotland, Wikimedia UK delivers work both nationally and internationally, and the post holder would be expected to hold a portfolio which contributes to and supports this.
This is a part time post and can be based anywhere in Scotland, and there is an expectation of travel, including quarterly meetings at our office in London. Some evening and weekend work should also be expected, for which Time Off In Lieu can be taken. Successful post holders of similar roles in the organisation are skilled in advocacy, creative thinking, and project planning.
Purpose of job: To lead the delivery of Wikimedia UK’s activities in Scotland, by developing and running projects with partner institutions, involving and empowering volunteers, and delivering training, as well as supporting programmatic work outwith Scotland.
Main Duties
Programme Development & Delivery:

About the Role
The Operations Coordinator will play a key role across the charity, supporting the smooth running of Learning with Parents’ core functions during a period of growth and enabling the team to effectively deliver our programmes and achieve impact for disadvantaged families.
In particular, they will assist the Operations team with HR and recruitment processes, providing additional administrative capacity and supporting our finance functions. They will also provide essential administrative support for the Schools team, including supporting with responding parent and teacher queries, maintaining CRM systems and issuing invoices.
Core areas of responsibility
Financial Systems
- Support with accounting and financial systems, including: monthly reconciliations; paying expenses and invoices; and procurement.
HR Support
- Support with the recruitment process for staff, interns, work experience and trustees including advertising roles, supporting logistics for interviews, carrying out DBS checks, collecting references and sending unsuccessful applicants feedback.
- Support with HR record keeping, including staff training refreshers, keeping employee details up to date, policy refreshers etc.
- Support with the onboarding of new staff, including procuring necessary office equipment, setting up new members of staff on platforms and scheduling meetings as necessary.

Programme Support

About the role
As a Victim Care Coordinator, you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by crime. You will make initial contact with victims via the telephone, then tailor the support to the Victims preferences i.e. home visits or via conference calls, to explain our services, and assess the impact of crime. The Philanthropy and Partnerships Coordinator support the development and progression of philanthropy and partnership activity across trusts & foundations, corporate partners, and high‑value philanthropic audiences in the UK. Movement Support Coordinator
Salary: £48,396-£55,644 pa + benefits (We normally offer a starting salary at the start of the range)
Based: Islington, London – hybrid working

Greenpeace UK is an independent national/regional organisation within the global Greenpeace campaigning network, which acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace. The global network of Greenpeace organisations comprises 26 independent national/regional Greenpeace organisations with presence in over 55 countries across Europe, Africa, the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, as well as a coordinating and supporting organisation, Greenpeace International.
The Movement Support Coordinator at Greenpeace UK plays a key role in strengthening relationships with grassroots movements and community organisations working on climate and social justice issues. Based within the Allyship Team, the post focuses on building collective power by supporting frontline groups, managing community resources, and embedding solidarity practices across the organisation.
A central responsibility is overseeing the Open Workshop Community Space -our hub for movement organising. This includes coordinating bookings, maintaining a welcoming and accessible environment, managing volunteers and freelancers, and expanding the space’s reach through outreach, events, and strategic development. The role also involves fostering strong relationships with grassroots organisers.
The coordinator will help deliver the Movement Support Fund, supporting the fair distribution of micro-grants to grassroots groups, monitoring impact, and assisting with fundraising resources. The ideal candidate will have experience in community organising, volunteer management, event facilitation, and relationship-building with grassroots or marginalised communities, whether through work, volunteer opportunities or activism. Strong communication, project management, and collaboration skills are essential, alongside a commitment to anti-oppression, solidarity, and climate or social justice activism.
You will achieve this by:
Managing the Open Workshop Community Space
- Process, organise and respond to requests from grassroots groups looking to book the space.
- Manage a team of freelancers and volunteers who will oversee groups when they use the space, including recruitment, training, allocating shifts, receiving / giving feedback and processing invoices.
- Support and contribute to the development of a three year strategy to increase the reach and impact of the community space.
- Promote the Community Space through proactive outreach, continually growing its list of users and ensuring a marketing strategy is in place.
- Bring the diverse groups using the space together through organising events and skillshares that serve the needs of the movement.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with the lead organisers of grassroots groups and other stakeholders. Continually seek to better understand their goals and how the community space can best serve them.
- Build and maintain relationships with grassroots groups within the UK.
- Maintain the space to a high standard of safety, cleanliness and organisation, including maintaining equipment and managing stock levels, to ensure it is safe, useful and welcoming for groups.
- Maintaining and, where necessary, implement new systems (such as booking systems, signage, briefing documents) to ensure the community runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Enable other Greenpeace offices to replicate this model by creating resources, sharing learning and acting as a spokesperson within the international Greenpeace community.
Supporting the Allyship Lead to manage the Movement Support Fund
- With the Allyship Lead, set up and implement an equitable and effective method to distribute micro-grants to grassroots groups tackling specific social justice issues.
- Carry out regular reviews of the programme to assess impact and equity.
- Support the Fundraising Team in the creation of resources for grassroots groups that enable them to apply for external funding opportunities.
- Supporting the allyship work across the organisation as directed by the Allyship Lead
- Collate a list of Community Space users who may be interested in future collaborations with teams or attending events.
Provide Internal communications to Greenpeace UK staff
- Assist the Allyship Lead with regular updates to Greenpeace UK staff in support of intersectional movement building, helping to develop clear and compelling talking points informed by our solidarity work.
