Role Summary

• The School Engagement Coordinator for Northern Ireland serves as a crucial liaison for the Into Film programme in the region. This role involves actively engaging with schools and educators to promote and support their participation in various initiatives related to film, games, and creative media.
• The Engagement Coordinator will be instrumental in ensuring that schools and teachers have access to the full range of educational resources, training, and opportunities offered by Into Film. They will collaborate closely with the Northern Ireland team to provide tailored support and foster meaningful connections between schools, the creative arts, and the industry.

Given the nature of the role, the Co-ordinator may need to work occasional weekends and extended hours, as well as travel regularly to designated regions and occasionally elsewhere in the UK.

Main Responsibilities: 

• Proactively engage with schools, teachers, and educational stakeholders across Northern Ireland to raise awareness of Into Film's programmes and resources.
• Deliver a range of educational activities, including school workshops, screenings and industry events, tailored to the needs of the local area.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with schools, creative organisations, and screen industry bodies to support the delivery of Into Film's initiatives in NI.
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of Northern Ireland-specific programmes, including Story Builder, Games, Teaching with Film, Careers and Progression, and Young Creatives.
• Collaborate with teams across Into Film to ensure a joined-up approach to programme delivery, KPI achievement, and budgetary oversight.
• Ensure that Into Film's programmes respond to local needs and reach across Northern Ireland, while also feeding into the organization's UK-wide initiatives.
• Manage local partnerships and relationships, utilising CRM (Salesforce) to input and analyse data, create reports, and inform programme design.
• Support the existing Northern Ireland team with the delivery of locally funded projects and initiatives.
• Any other reasonable duties assigned by Into Film.

Person Specification:

Minimum Requirements:

• Significant experience in designing and delivering engaging educational programmes, including youth workshops and industry-facing events.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Northern Ireland education system, curriculum, and the local creative/screen industries.
• A track record of establishing and nurturing partnerships with schools, organisations, and industry stakeholders.

About the role

The Refugee Council supports separated children across England and part of our service is a team of staff based at the port of Dover, working 24/7 to provide a temporary safeguarding service for children arriving there, ensuring that their basic needs are met while they await transfer to the care of a local authority. The unit is reactive to the needs of clients, who may arrive at any time, and staff are expected to cover a variety of shifts.

As a Support Worker, you will assess the basic needs of newly arrived clients and provide an appropriate service, including food, clothing, and access to hygiene facilities. Beacon is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic youth engagement worker to work as part of a small team to deliver our SHINE offer to young people. SHINE offers early intervention support to all 11-17 year old’s in Stockport to provide information, advice or guidance regarding their emotional wellbeing. It includes: 2 weekly wellbeing groups, a weekly arts group (delivered by Beacon’s partner), signposting and advice. SHINE develops skills to support emotional wellbeing, build resilience and confidence with weekly themes over 12 weeks.

You will be the main point of contact for young people and their families, providing information, advice, guidance and support to access services. You will work with colleagues and the young people to devise and cofacilitate group sessions which are fun, engaging and support young people to develop skills and improve wellbeing. You will liaise with our partner delivery organisation, and support the future development of the service. You will responsible for completing all administrative duties in relation to the service, including the collection of monitoring and feedback data.

The role is for 17.5 hours per week. The hours are to be agreed, but must include Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4pm to 7pm. The salary for this role is £26,481 per annum pro rata.

We’re seeking a Finance Manager to lead robust financial reporting and governance across 80 parish sites, while supporting central operations from our Crawley base.

You will write compelling funding proposals that demonstrate the impact of our services and how we meet funders’ requirements. A Senior Organiser is mastering the craft of community organising and taking increasing responsibility for developing major campaigns, managing budgets and managing staff. They operate with a high degree of independence and are significant contributors to CUK-wide functions such as training.  Senior Organisers model the broad-based community organising methodology in their work including the building of relational power, the recruitment and retention of dues-paying institutions, the development of leaders, the strengthening of member institutions, leader-led public actions, and the winning of systemic change.

Working as a Senior Organiser for Citizens UK, reporting to Regional Supervisor for the South of England, your main responsibilities will include:

Our Organisers and some project teams work closely with our member institutions and will be expected to attend member events that take place in the evenings and occasional weekends. We operate a Time Off in Lieu approach and have very flexible working arrangements to ensure a good work-life balance.

Job description

CSE is seeking to appoint a confident and adaptable Project Manager (Maternity Cover) with the experience and initiative to lead and deliver a varied portfolio of community-based energy and climate projects.

This role will likely initially focus on coordinating our work on the Energy Learning Network and supporting the networking of local community organisations that provide vital energy advice.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who is confident working with a wide range of stakeholders and has proven experience managing multi-partner or community-based projects. They will understand and seek to champion the value of community-led approaches to energy and climate action.

Pay and conditions

• The role is full-time 1-year fixed contract (37.5 hours per week).
• The salary for the role will be £36,075.
• You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays).

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

- Consistently and effectively manage projects across a range of initiatives within the LACE team with responsibility for planning, promotion, budgeting, ongoing financial management, funder liaison, reporting, monitoring and evaluation.

- Manage finance and resources for project work such as events, training, analysis, grant schemes, stakeholder engagement, community climate action, youth work and work supporting local authorities.

- Line management of up to 1-2 junior members of the LACE team.

- Contribute to team wellbeing by supporting co-workers in their tasks and proactively addressing issues relating to your projects or direct reports. Communicate project outputs effectively to team members, CSE staff and eternal stakeholders.

- Oversee promotion and marketing of projects and outputs to ensure effective engagement with the target audience (in conjunction with Communications team).

- Regularly represent CSE at external events (e.g. webinars, meetings, conferences), presenting to a Centre for Sustainable Energy 2024 high standard and sharing outputs and insights from projects you manage and work on.

- Establish and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with funders and stakeholders, potentially including existing funders and strategic partners, community groups, local authorities, voluntary sector associations, housing associations, youth groups.

- Provide expertise and experience necessary to deliver projects well and contribute to the upskilling of CSE staff and the capacity building of external stakeholders. In this role that could include models and approaches for viable community led sustainability initiatives, community renewables, sustainability initiatives, community engagement, community resilience, or energy efficiency.

About this exciting opportunity

Working as part of a multi-agency team, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison.  You will undertake assessment and action planning with individual service users, create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users, plus deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards achievement of prescribed outcomes.

We will also count on you to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies, including probation, prisons, partners, and others who will assist in achieving prescribed outcomes for service users, ensuring you work towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales.  Using agreed CRM databases and recording all activity relating to caseload and providing updates and reports are also key duties.

What we are looking for

• Experience working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project
• L3 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent
• The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, client-led support through action planning and interventions involving advice, guidance, advocacy, and coaching

•  Impressive IT, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written
