About the Role
This fundraiser will work closely with senior academics in the Humanities Division. The post will focus primarily on funding for posts, scholarships and access and outreach in the academic faculties as well as securing support for the activities of the Cultural Programme and Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. An interest and appreciation for the arts and humanities is essential.

Purpose of Job:
The postholder plays a key role in managing the alumni network, with a specific emphasis on events and volunteer management, to actively engage alumni and stakeholders with Queen Mary’s Grammar School. The goal is to continuously enhance the value and contributions from stakeholders in alignment with Queen Mary’s Grammar School’s strategic priorities.
Ultimately, this role is designed to support the school’s strategic plan by delivering philanthropic income and other forms of financial and non-financial support from alumni and other stakeholders. This is achieved by developing and strengthening relationships with important constituents and identifying shared areas of interest and activities to enable lifelong relationships to form.
Main responsibilities:

To work with the Headmaster in developing links with the alumni network through the Queen Mary’s Club (QMC) for the purpose of school promotion, school career programme development and fundraising.

To oversee the financial and administrative function of school donations and the Queen Mary’s Association (QMA) as a parental fundraising body within the school.

JOB DESCRIPTION The duties include:

Actively enhance engagement opportunities with former students and other stakeholders. Contribute to development of methods of engaging with alumni and strengthening their relationship with Queen Mary’s Grammar School and each other;

Maintenance and continuity of QMC database using Raiser’s Edge; leading initiatives to grow and populate the database.

Management of the website, including creating new content;

Main Areas of Responsibility
In the first instance, this will be achieved through joint project management and rollout of a new Federation wide SharePoint eco system. This is an exciting time to deliver a new ecosystem that will lay the foundation for future enhancement and uses of technology across all aspects of the Federation (Educational and Corporate).
You will then begin to identify the best uses of digital technology to promote learning, by engaging with latest research and by working across our academies in consultation with teachers and Principals. Through your leadership and networking within the Federation you will ensure the best approaches to improving educational outcomes are strategised, implemented, evaluated and are widely disseminated. Your work will involve the development of a Federation-wide Digital Learning strategy, building coalitions to implement and test this and then to disseminate the work. You will produce a wide range of training resources working with the Federation Consultant Leaders and Digital Learning Leaders in each Academy and you will Chair the Federation Digital Strategy Group, which will inform the priorities of the Federation IT team.

Some young people, for whatever reason, may not have the skills to ensure they can navigate a route into higher education or into training and the employment market.The role of the coordinator is to successfully match them to a volunteer who can help empower them and ensure they achieve the future they deserve. We believe all young people are capable of being in higher education, employment or training if they wish to be, but we also know that some need a helping hand to achieve this. This is where Equip Mentoring comes in. We match the young people with a mentor who can support them to achieve these goals.
Equip Mentoring is delivered by Volunteering Matters across Suffolk. The project works closely with local educational establishments to equip young people with the tools they need to re-engage with education and make informed decisions about their future career prospects and pathways.
Role Purpose
To develop and deliver all aspects of our Equip project in Suffolk, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes, and targets. The post holder will work closely with the Suffolk County Council, other youth agencies and local volunteers to ensure that we improve and empower the lives of young people aged 18-25 who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET through the unique power of mentoring.
Key Duties
- To effectively deliver the service to ensure the project meets its agreed targets and millstones.
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and local authority staff at a day-to day level.
- To ensure volunteers are recruited, appropriately trained and supported in their role; this will involve processing volunteer expenses, DBS checks and maintaining databases.
- To ensure regular communication between project staff and volunteers is maintained and that regular supervision for volunteers is provided.
- To work with your line manager to ensure project expenditure is in line with the budget.
- To maintain accurate administration, for all aspects of the project.
- To maintain accurate records on all aspects of the project and submit data onto a secure database.
- To manage and maintain effective monitoring and evaluation records to capture impact and outcomes and ensure contractual compliance.
- To implement and maintain appropriate risk assessment management processes.
- To prepare regular reports including quarterly progress updates, impact reports and end of year reports for both internal and external purposes.

With a flexible working policy, the postholder can be based at home. The postholder will need internet access to enable remote working. I.T. equipment and infrastructure will be supplied. There will be travel expected with this role, this will predominately be around Ipswich.

Summary of Role
Working under the direction of our Centre Managers at Arc in the Park and Abbey Hub, Support Workers are key to ensuring the successful delivery of our provision for children and young people. Working with children and young people on and one to one basis and in group settings, the role will support the delivery of our play and youth projects and activities to aid their development and will include providing support to young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities.

The Hepatitis C Trust has developed projects nationally whereby peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training to increase awareness of hepatitis C, reduce stigma, and promote access to testing and treatment for people living with hepatitis C across Bristol & Weston areas.
Do you have experience of working in drug services and with volunteers? Have you been affected by hepatitis C or have you supported anyone who has hepatitis C? Bonny Downs Community Association has been working together to change lives and transform our community since 1998. Over the past 25 years our team has grown to provide a wide array of services that benefit Newham residents from all walks of life.
This role is specifically funded through the Youth Endowment fund as a pilot project ‘Thriving Communities’. The Thriving Communities project is a small part of a wider collaborative project, EMPOWER YOUTH, delivered by two partner charities so, although this position is based at BDCA, you will be working closely with a second East Ham Youth Partnership Project lead and team of Sessional Assistants based at nearby charity The Renewal Programme (TRP). Staff from each organisation will work together to deliver the programme and cross-refer young people to activities led by both teams. You will also be required to work with BDCA’s own Children & Families team during the summer scheme and liaise with our marketing team all year round. External partner agencies that you will work directly with include Thriving Communities panel, Newham Youth Empowerment Service, Newham Community Engagement Team, local sports clubs and schools.

The post holder will be an active member of our programmes team and will work across our portfolio of programmes.
