We are working in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the Bromley Mental Health Hub. This forms part of the transformation of mental health services in the London borough of Bromley under the NHS Long Term Plan.
The service brings together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic and integrated services for adults with mental health problems. The integrated team provides brief intervention support to people with mental health problems within a primary care and community mental health setting, helping people develop their independence, self-management skills and achieve their recovery goals.
We are looking for a full time Peer Support Worker to provide recovery-orientated one to one and group-based peer support to people with common and long-term mental health problems. The successful candidate will work with clients to improve their confidence and resilience, reduce social isolation and help them integrate further into the local community, whilst also providing general support for the day-to-day self-management of their client’s mental health.
You will use your own mental health lived experience to build good rapport with your clients and ensure your approach is meaningful. You will need to be organised, resilient, flexible, and empathetic in supporting clients to achieve their goals. The role will include:
- Providing one to one and group based recovery-orientated peer support for mental health
- Empowering and supporting clients to access and navigate healthcare, wellbeing and community services
- Working with the Peer Support Coordinators to plan and develop content and resources for recovery-based workshops and peer support groups
- Working with the Peer Support Coordinators to induct, train and support Peer Support Volunteers
- Promoting understanding of the principles and practice of peer support
- Working collaboratively with hub staff, partners & stakeholders across the borough of Bromley

Would you like to use your understanding of politics and political advocacy, and your relationship-building skills, to tackle injustice? Can you bring people together to work for change? We are seeking to recruit an Advocacy Coordinator to develop and coordinate the delivery of influencing strategies around the identified public policy priorities of the Methodist Church and the Joint Public Issues Team. In recent years these have includes issues around poverty, refugees and migration, the environment, the economy, peace and conflict, and politics.
About you
You’ll need to bring experience of coordinating campaigns or political advocacy initiatives and an understanding of different methods of working for policy change. You’ll need a good understanding of UK politics and of the context for public policy development, and to be a great communicator. Your role
Supervise the delivery of Eikon’s volunteer mentoring services to children and young people in allocated schools across Surrey. Supervise a team of Volunteer Mentors ensuring parity of our offer in Schools to Children and Young People. Ensuring the highest standards of case work, effective practice and safeguarding are maintained. Providing regular review and assessment of caseloads, with guidance on how to progress provided to the team of Volunteer Mentors.
Responsibilities
· Plan, resource and oversee the delivery of the volunteer mentoring programme, to ensure that the service is offered to young people at the right time and that young people are at the heart of the programme.
· Develop and maintain key relationships within schools in Surrey to deliver the volunteer mentoring programme.
· To identify trends and gaps in provision, then work with Service Delivery Manager on ways to improve our Volunteer Mentoring service
· Supervise a team of volunteer mentors in line with Eikon's policies
· Induct, train and develop volunteer mentors, ensuring a high-quality service with safe and effective practice is delivered in accordance with all other best practice guidelines
· Work in collaboration with the Designated Safeguarding Manager and Service Delivery Manager to ensure all volunteers are competent to supervise safeguarding issues
· Support volunteer mentors with all safeguarding issues and liaise with the Designated Safeguarding Manager and Service Delivery Manager where appropriate.
· Understand and act when safeguarding issues need to be escalated, always following safeguarding and child protection procedures
· Support volunteer mentors to ensure accurate recording of all individual engagements, ensuring supervisory review of notes, follow up action where appropriate and feedback provided as necessary
· Support volunteer mentors in ensuring outcomes and impact are agreed, reviewed and recorded for mentees using the Eikon Impact Measurement tool

Programme Support Coordinator

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Programme Support Coordinator to support the delivery of our Sport England funded national programme that empowers people with a learning disability to get active. You will work across 2 key projects:
· Our Active Community – supporting people with a learning disability and their communities to become more active.
· Mencap Active Community – helping to grow, engage and upskill a national network of stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about health and wellbeing for people with a learning disability, with strong coordination and communication skills.
Mencap are a Sport England funded system partner, and this role is a full-time fixed term contract until end of March 2027. You will sit within the Active Communities team supporting the Programme Lead, Network Development Partner and 5 Community Partners.
What You Will Be Doing
· Liaise with Community Partners and support them with their Our Active Community workload. Tasks will vary but could involve asset mapping, attending forums, writing up meeting notes, creating Easy Read documents, and compiling newsletters.
· Liaise with the Network Development Partner to organise and support national forums, webinars, and learning events to share best practice and amplify lived experience.
· Support with our online platforms for Mencap Active Community, signing up stakeholders and keeping content up to date and engaging. This will include the development of inclusive resources, toolkits, and communications for national distribution.
· Provide coordination support for the delivery of our Learning Disability and Sport workshop in terms of bookings, liaising with tutors, co-trainers, attendees and capturing impact.
· Lead on our communications plan by creating content and promoting our work both internally and externally across various communication channels.
· Monitor our sports inbox and respond to general enquiry emails.
· Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes, including data analysis, capturing learnings and creating case studies.
· Support the team with other responsibilities relevant to the role that may not be listed above.
What We Are Looking For
· Experience of supporting projects in community, health, physical activity, or disability settings.
· Understanding of the barriers people with a learning disability face in accessing physical activity.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organisational and time management abilities.
· Confident using Microsoft Office and online meeting tools.
· Comfortable working by yourself and as part of a remote team.
· Willingness to travel to support our work in communities across England.
