About the role
This role is promote Healthwatch to local residents and stakeholders, and support people to get involved in our work. You’ll be a skilled communicator, comfortable networking and engaging with a diverse range of local residents. This role is primarily based in Westminster, and we’re looking for someone who can understand and relate to the diverse local population.
Your role will involve finding innovative ways to present the information the team gathers to key audiences. This will range from face-to-face conversations with partners and funders through to producing imaginative materials. This includes producing accessible reports and presentations to make sure we can maximise the impact of people’s feedback.
You’ll be responsible for a variety of internal and external communications for the Healthwatch Westminster producing impactful communications across all platforms including our website, social media channels and newsletter. You’ll also produce informative and engaging content for our websites, keeping it fresh and relevant for our diverse audiences.
As well as developing our online presence, you’ll own the Westminster engagement plan. This will involve identifying engagement opportunities, working with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure we have good coverage at events across the borough, and getting out into the local community to promote our service and hear from local residents.
Working as part of a small team, you’ll be involved in many aspects of the organisation. You’ll need to be flexible, with a ‘can do’ attitude to meet the evolving needs of the service. You will need to work in close collaboration with our other Healthwatch services in Kensington & Chelsea and Brent, and occasionally support communications and engagement in those areas when the need arises.
Key responsibilities
Engagement
- Develop a vibrant engagement plan for Healthwatch Westminster, ensuring that we are reaching a wide range of residents a
- Develop effective relationships with local groups to promote the Healthwatch service and share platforms to capture people’s views and experiences.
- Keep abreast of good engagement practice and actively seek out innovative ways to capture and express people’s views/experiences, including engagement techniques appropriate to different audiences.
- Work in partnership with key stakeholders from the grassroots network to support engagement in projects, including coproduction and joint communications.
- Take a lead role in making sure all Healthwatch Brent activities involve people from all sections of the community, including seldom-heard communities.
Communications (Healthwatch Brent, Westminster, RBKC)
- Create engaging and up-to-date digital media content across all social media channels, including web content, Twitter and Facebook.
- Create regular newsletters and e-bulletins, circulating these to key stakeholders to support engagement.
- Design reports, presentations and stationary templates for the Healthwatch service, making sure all materials keep to the Healthwatch brand guidelines.
- Answer and respond appropriately to calls about the service, collaborating with the team to give signposting support via phone and email.
- Keep up to date with best practice from Healthwatch England, by reading, attending courses and networking.
- Carry out any other tasks needed for the service to run smoothly, as directed by the Healthwatch Manager.

- Good understanding of the NHS / social care, in particular the role of user/citizen involvement in developing services.

- Collating, storing and manipulating data and information in the creation of graphs, tables, reports etc. to aid accessibility and understanding and to support decision-making within the team or with other stakeholders.

ABOUT SAFETY4SISTERS
Safety4Sisters (S4S) is a specialist Black and minoritised by and for women’s organisation based in Manchester. Our aim is to promote the human rights of migrant women experiencing a spectrum of gendered violence by providing a trauma informed, specialist, holistic and integrative programme of support to Black and minoritised survivors with NRPF. Support is underpinned by the following strands of services and activities; culturally competent advocacy, welfare and destitution support, a specialist refuge dedicated to migrant women with NRPF, therapeutic activities, groups and training, social activities, a helpline for both professionals and women, grassroots campaigning, and strategic advocacy.
JOB PURPOSE
To support the development and delivery of Safety4Sisters’ policy, campaigning, and influencing work to advance the rights, safety, and wellbeing of Black, minoritised and migrant women and children experiencing violence against women and girls (VAWG).
The post holder will contribute to influencing local, regional, and national policy and decision-making on VAWG, honour-based abuse, harmful practices, immigration and asylum policy, and no recourse to public funds (NRPF). This work will be rooted in survivor voice, frontline practice, and Safety4Sisters’ feminist and anti-racist values.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1.To contribute to the planning and delivery of Safety4Sisters’ policy, campaigning, and influencing work in line with the organisation’s strategic priorities.
2.To undertake policy research and analysis on issues affecting Black, minoritised and migrant women experiencing VAWG, including immigration, asylum, and NRPF.
3.To draft policy briefings, consultation responses, reports, statements, and other written submissions to influence decision-makers and statutory bodies.
4.To work closely with frontline staff, partners, and where appropriate victim-survivors, to ensure that policy and campaigning work is informed by lived experience and practice-based evidence.

Our Location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home, although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings. There is a requirement for you to attend a minimum of 12 in person days a year, including two Directorate meetings and the charity’s mandatory ‘All Staff Together’ days which take place four times a year at our offices in Hatfield or a location in London. In addition there will be a requirement to attend team and donor meetings in person as required.

Consultant to cover maternity leave for the Project Officer, Inclusive Eye Health Project in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe
Title: Project Officer, Inclusive Eye Health Project - maternity cover
Location: Bulawayo, Zimbabwe
Anticipated Consultancy Length: Four Months
Overall objective
The purpose of this consultancy is to provide maternity cover services for a period of four months (01 April-31 July 2026) for the Project Officer, Inclusive Eye Health Project. The Project Officer leads and coordinates the implementation of Inclusive Eye Health (IEH) programmes in Matabeleland North, Zimbabwe. The role is designed to ensure effective collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality eye health services in the province. Since the project is implemented in all the 7 districts of Matabeleland North Province, it is practical to have this person based in a satellite office in Bulawayo for easy coordination of stakeholders and project activities.
The Project Officer is responsible for managing daily operations, monitoring and evaluating project outcomes, supporting capacity building, and contributing to research and innovation. Ultimately, the position aims to enhance the impact and quality of Sightsavers’ programmes through strategic coordination, partnership management, and continuous improvement.
Principal Accountabilities (specific activities and end results):
Project coordination
- Support all Sightsavers supported eye health activities by providing effective management and coordination to the project to ensure the delivery of set targets.
- Coordinate all OPD related activities as part of IEH project through working with different OPD groups to ensure adherence to workplans and budget for the achievement of planned project outputs.
- Coordinate capacity building initiatives for health workers and OPDs
- Support partner teams and OPDs groups to identify and develop innovative approaches for the delivery of an inclusive eye health project in the Matabeleland North
- Coordinate the preparation of activity related reports as well as quarterly and annual reports to Sightsavers / donors as may be required.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Support the Snr Programme Officer in monitoring project implementation in the province. Conduct quarterly project visits and follow up on outstanding issues.
- Provide support to OPD groups and steering committee during targeted outreach activities and monitoring visits to project facilities.
- Support in reviewing the evidence provided by partners for the delivery of activities and ensure proper reporting system and records are kept in place.
- The position will be responsible for guiding the overall Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Strategy and use of M&E methodology necessary for attaining the project goals.
- Monitor project expenditure to ensure that it is in line with the budget envelope and value for money is observed.
Representation and Networking
- Represent the Programme Manager at various meetings and discussions at relevant government Ministries and other agencies.
Research
- Coordinate the design and conduct of patient satisfaction studies to assess the quality of services provided at project facilities.
Budget and payment schedule
- It is estimated this consultancy will take in full 4 months of consultancy time.
- A total fee of USD 2,500 per month (USD$10,000) as stipulated above will be invoiced to the Client by the Consultant upon signing this agreement whereby 100% of the total claim will be paid by the 25th of each month, subject to deliverables being met.
- Withholding tax of 30% shall be charged if a valid tax clearance is not presented at the time of payment.
- Other activity charges including venue, travel to and from the hotels to activity venues, accommodation and meals will be covered by Sightsavers.
Skills and Experience
Minimal qualifications for a Lead Consultant/ Team Members
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or related disciplines (post-graduate degree will be an advantage).
- Extensive experience in programme/project management, ideally in an INGO setting.
- Technical knowledge of Eye Health in Zimbabwe
- Understanding of Disability Inclusive Development
- Experience in working with OPDs groups will be an added advantage.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation and research
- Understanding of the health system in Zimbabwe
- Experience in advocacy.

The Communications Officer plays a significant role in the support of the delivery of AmplifyChange’s communications strategy. They are key to ensuring that AmplifyChange’s key messages and brand are effectively implemented across all of our communications channels. The Communications Officer will report to and work closely with the Communications Manager and in partnership with other teams to support content development for multiple platforms (AmplifyChange’s main website and AmplifyChange Learn, in particular), social media management, and linking and learning opportunities.
The Communications Officer will have an appetite to creatively profile and showcase the work of AmplifyChange grantee partners and support knowledge sharing opportunities. While AmplifyChange has an established set of communications channels and methodologies to share our work and the work of our grantee partners, fresh ideas and perspectives are welcomed and encouraged. The Communications Officer will be comfortable working independently and taking initiative but there will be support available from the Communications Manager and other teams where required.
AmplifyChange is a bilingual fund, working in English and French. As this role centres on effective communications across our channels to all our grantees in Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions, a professional level of written French and comfort speaking the language is essential.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Publications and campaigns
- With the Communications Manager, develop content calendars for the year in line with costed workplan
- Support in the creative development and execution of cause day campaigns – e.g., 16 Days to end Violence against Women, International Youth Day, etc.
- Work closely with the Communications Manager to develop blogs, impact reports and other external materials
- Support the development of Grantee Stories and case studies, working with grantee partners to identify and write stories of change

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
This is a UK based, full time (37.5 hours/week) permanent position, reporting to the Communications Manager. AmplifyChange is based in Bath, and we operate on a hybrid working model. Centre 33 is an ambitious and growing charity based across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. About the role
The Finance & IT Operations manager ensures effective financial management and control throughout ASC overseeing financial administration, reporting and compliance.
The role provides guidance and support on financial matters to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in areas such as cash flow, audit and tax whilst ensuring that budget holders across ASC are well supported with tools and skills. The role also helps develop and implement the charity’s IT strategy, including managing the external IT provider and service level agreement.
Responsibilities
1. Financial Management and Reporting
- Provide the Chief Operating Officer (COO) with accurate, regular and comprehensive financial information reports to guide effective and sound financial decision making.
- Monitor financial activity against approved annual budget, reporting any anomalies or unusual activity to the COO.
- Develop, implement and operate monitoring systems for financial forecasting and re-forecasting to support sound decision making.
- Support the COO in the co-ordination of the annual budgeting and planning process ensuring that information is collected, compiled and reported in a consistent and robust manner.
- Co-ordinate and produce year end Charity SORP financial statements, including the Trustee Annual Report, providing external auditors with the necessary documentation and support to audit the financial statements.

SPANA is strengthening the GPD to support partners to develop and deliver transformational and sustainable improvements in working animal welfare.
Reporting to a Senior Programmes Manager, the Programmes Officer provides essential grant administration and project management support to a portfolio of partners, ensuring effective oversight across the lifecycle of grants. This involves developing effective working partnerships remotely and identifying risks and issues that need to be escalated. The Programmes Officer works closely with technical colleagues responsible for Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL), animal health and welfare, education and behaviour change and the wider organisation (e.g., communications, fundraising, advocacy and policy).
Contract, location and salary
This role is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. This is a UK based position, with 1-2 days per month (or more if preferred) worked from SPANA's office in London.
The salary for this role is c.£32,000 subject to skills and experience. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK.
