About the role
As local campaigning lead in our award-winning public affairs and campaigns team, you will play a pivotal role in driving Sands’ mission to save babies’ lives and ensure bereaved families receive the care and support they need.
You will need experience of delivering and evaluating impactful campaigns, and of working in close partnership with those with lived experience to create meaningful, lasting change at a local or national level.
This is a dynamic, outward-facing role that combines strategic campaigning with hands-on community organising. You will have the skills to support and develop a network of local campaigners, empowering volunteers and supporters to take action in their communities, influence decision-makers, and improve services over the long term. You will also feel comfortable representing Sands at a local level, developing strong relationships to amplify the organisation’s voice and impact.
Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will ensure campaigns are evidence-based, inclusive, and shaped by the lived experiences of diverse bereaved families. You will create compelling content and digital actions, support media engagement, and use data and insight to evaluate impact and continuously strengthen our approach.

Main Purpose of Job
To lead Sands’ local campaigning function.
Co-lead impactful campaigns at a local and devolved nation level with bereaved parents and families, supporting Sands core aims to save babies lives and ensure anyone affected by the death of a baby receives the care and support they need by:
1. Leading the implementation and evaluation of Sands local campaigns to further our core aims.
2. Developing the capacity of Sands local volunteers, supporters and campaigners to take action to improve their local services in the long-term.
3. Ensuring that Sands campaigns are evidence based and reflect the views and experiences of a diverse range of bereaved parents and families.
Principle Tasks and Responsibilities
Leading implementation, and evaluation of Sands local campaigns to further Sands core aims.
- Lead local campaigns at Sands in line with our local campaigning strategy, collaborating and planning with key internal stakeholders, and staying up to date with best practise in local campaigning and community organising techniques externally.
- Evaluate the success of the local campaigns with internal and external stakeholders, implementing recommendations for future improvement.
- Work with colleagues to grow Sands’ local campaigning presence across the UK, including supporting funding applications to build staff capacity.
- Manage the budget for local campaigning.
- Represent Sands at a local level, attending meetings, and building relationships, with local politicians, NHS and council officials, journalists, third sector organisations, and other local stakeholders.
- Produce engaging campaigns content for use digitally across different platforms and in hard copy, working with the engagement team to ensure asks are effectively communicated to key audiences.
- Create compelling e-actions to support our campaigns using the Sands digital campaigning platform.
- Work with colleagues to support the production of press releases and responses to media inquiries.
- Organise campaigns meetings and events (virtual or in person).
- Recruit and line manage local campaigns staff, supporting and collaborating with them to roll out impactful local campaigns in more areas (subject to future funding).
Developing the capacity of Sands volunteers, supporters, and campaigners to take action to improve their local services in the long-term.
- Manage local campaign groups of bereaved parents and families, empowering and motivating them to implement campaigns to solve issues that affect them and create long-term change in their communities.
- Using community organising techniques to build the capacity of local campaigners and groups to campaign independently in the long-term – connecting local people, facilitating workshops and discussions, developing local campaign leaders, and recruiting new members into campaigns.
- Work collaboratively with teams working with Sands supporters and volunteers to maximise the impact of our campaigns, including supporting the creation of effective campaign supporter journeys.
- Create written and visual resources to support campaigning.
- Develop training sessions to build campaigning skills, to be delivered online or in person, or recorded.
- Provide advice and support to Sands campaigners via email, telephone and video call.
- Ensure key data and information about Sands campaigns and our campaigners are up to date and stored in the relevant place, including the Sands database.
Ensure that Sands campaigns are evidence based and reflect the views and experiences of a diverse range of bereaved parents and families.
· Undertake evidence gathering projects to support Sands campaigns work, including collating and analysing data and presenting findings in an accessible and engaging way.
· Ensure that the views of bereaved parents and families inform Sands campaigns and provide opportunities for Sands volunteers to get involved in our campaigning activity.
· Provide direct support to bereaved parents to help them become confident campaigners, so they are well informed, equipped to speak out and know how to go about it.
General tasks
· Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role as required by the Head of Public Affairs and Campaigns and the Director of Research, Education and Policy.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to grow support for our work in the UK and internationally.
You will lead the implementation of our 2026–2028 fundraising strategy, develop compelling supporter journeys and creating inspiring propositions that connect donors with the difference their generosity makes. Working closely with the CEO, Senior Management Team and Fundraising Committee, you will bring focus, energy and professional fundraising expertise to a charity with a loyal supporter base and significant potential for growth.
Key Details:
Location: UK (Flexible / Hybrid).There will be occasional in-person meetings/events in our London office or other specific venues, with flexibility to work where convenient (office or home) most of the time.
Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (0.6 FTE), flexible / hybrid, with some with some flexibility over how hours are distributed across the week.

What You will do:
- Lead the delivery of HOPE worldwide UK’s fundraising strategy, with clear plans, priorities, KPIs and income targets.
- Develop a compelling case for support that inspires existing donors, re-engages lapsed supporters and reaches new and younger audiences.

About Project Unity England
Project Unity England improves outcomes for care-experienced young mothers and their children through collaborative, multi-agency working, delivered through cluster-based areas bringing together local stakeholders for coordinated, community-focused support. Travel between cluster areas is expected, particularly from year two onwards.

You are passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and families, confident leading teams within a trauma-informed environment, and able to balance operational oversight with a person-centred approach.
You will have experience working with vulnerable young people or families in a social care, advocacy or support setting, alongside experience managing or supervising staff and/or volunteers, plus a strong understanding of safeguarding frameworks and relevant legislation. About the role
We are seeking an experienced Digital Product Lead to lead the implementation, rollout and continuous improvement of the Refugee Employment Marketplace and wider digital systems across the Refugee Employment Network.
The Refugee Employment Marketplace is a digital platform connecting displaced people in the UK with jobs, employers and employment support.
Working closely with developers, partners and users, you will help ensure the Marketplace is successfully implemented, accessible, adopted and scaled across Wales and the wider REN network. Role Overview
The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operations of Glitch, enabling the effective delivery and adherence to policies and regulation for the charity and team. You will work closely with Galop’s Co-CEOs and the wider senior team to ensure the efficient and effective running of the executive office. You will proactively manage both internal and external demands, as well as supporting the Co-CEOs with some of their key projects, such as implementation of the strategy, high-level fundraising and culture development.
This is a remote role, with the ideal candidate being available in person in central London on an ad hoc basis. This position is part-time and we are open for this role to be undertaken in either 3 or 4 days per week, and can show flexibility with working hours.
Your duties will include:
Executive Support & Office Management
- Support the Co-CEOs in all aspects of their roles, including strategic inbox and diary management, workload management, coordinating and minuting meetings, ensuring they are fully briefed, and tracking action points for the Co-CEOs and Senior Leadership Team.
- Act as an effective gatekeeper to the Co-CEOs.
- Ensure electronic files and systems are kept up to date and effective.
- Undertake general administrative duties for the Executive Office as required.
- Support the wider Senior Leadership Team as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
Governance & Board Administration
- Work closely with the Co-CEOs and Board on the organisation's governance requirements, including compiling Board and Sub-Committee papers, maintaining minutes, and managing governance documentation.
- Coordinate Board and Sub-Committee meetings, including preparing agendas, information packs, Co-CEO reports, and taking accurate minutes.
Strategic Planning, Projects & Performance
- Create and maintain systems to monitor operational work against strategic objectives, ensuring regular reporting of organisational KPIs and departmental operational plans.
- Undertake research and project management related to the Co-CEOs' programmes and activities, producing briefings, summaries, and leading projects where required.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communications
- Serve as a key point of contact for the Co-CEOs and Senior Leadership Team, managing internal and external enquiries professionally and liaising with corporate, political, media, non-governmental, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the Co-CEOs internally and externally as required.

Role Overview
As Head of Programmes, you will oversee the successful delivery, performance and development of Clean Slate's services nationally.
