This role is responsible for the administration of the grant management process including managing external reviews, communicating with funded researchers about project reports, contracting new research projects and responding to funding enquires, as well as the organisation of the Research Committee meetings and review papers. We are looking for an ambitious and proactive Senior Fundraising Manager to build on our past fundraising activity, diversifying income streams and nurturing new and existing partnerships with industry. In this role, you will also develop our member donations income stream and maximise our fundraising potential with the wider public, including patients and families with experience of intensive care. Working closely with the Head of Communications and Membership Engagement, you will contribute to shaping the fundraising strategy to support our new and enhanced organisational strategy and brand strategy.

Working closely with other members of the senior management team, including the Head of Sponsorship and Events, you will help develop relationships with industry for the long term and in relation to our yearly State of the Art Congress, aimed at the intensive care community.

You’ll have a strong track record in building and managing partnerships, securing grants from charitable trusts and foundations, and delivering successful fundraising campaigns. You will be a strategic thinker, confident communicator, and relationship-builder who is motivated by making a difference. Able to juggle both management and hands-on, operational activities, you’ll be keen to get stuck in and make a difference.

You will sit in a small, dynamic and supportive team also responsible for communications and membership engagement, and you’ll work with closely with them to integrate fundraising messages within our broader communications. You will also have a dotted line to other key teams within the organisation, in a matrix-style working set-up.

As an organisation, we have just reviewed our organisational strategy under the leadership of our new CEO, which means a lot of exciting developments are afoot needing additional funding. As part of this growth, we will be growing our offer for patients and families, which will have strong links to the fundraising strategy you will help manage.

The role sites in the Understand chapter which consists of data analysts, researchers, and evaluators. We are data, evidence, and insight-driven.

About The Role

Place2Be is looking for an Education Partnerships Manager to lead relationships with Multi Academy Trusts (MATs) and key partners, ensuring high-quality mental health services across schools. Acting as the main liaison, you’ll oversee service delivery, monitor performance, analyse impact data, and drive improvements. About the role

As part of our mission to break down barriers to university access and address wider educational inequalities, the Social Mobility & Widening Participation (SMWP) department has developed a dedicated strand of place-based outreach. This approach, rooted in the specific needs of local communities, is becoming increasingly impactful across King’s and is gaining recognition across the sector. Through our Access & Participation Plan 2025–2029, we have made ambitious commitments to expand our place-based work to improve young people’s educational outcomes and tackle barriers to university access and broader social inequalities.

Our place-based approach focuses on addressing localised challenges such as mental health, pathways to citizenship, access to English language provision, and employment and fair wages. We work in close partnership with South London Citizens to achieve this shared mission. This role leads the development and delivery of collaborative, community-led initiatives and supports the wider integration of this approach across King’s. Through these initiatives, the postholder empowers community members to design, launch, and sustain impactful campaigns that respond directly to local needs. They will work closely with Citizens UK organisers and colleagues across King’s to build strong partnerships and drive meaningful, place-based change, including engagement in broader local, regional, and national initiatives.

Using community organising methodology, the postholder will lead and expand our core place-based programmes: Parent Power South London and Empoderando Familias, delivered with South London Citizens, and EmpowerESOL, facilitated in collaboration with internal King’s teams. A key focus will also be the strategic growth of our flagship Parent Power programme into new regions, in partnership with The Brilliant Club. This initiative empowers parents and carers to engage actively in their children’s education while building networks of community organisers who drive change locally and nationally.

At the heart of this role is a commitment to collaboration and community, both external and internal, as powerful drivers of social impact. The postholder will also support and develop the WP Champions Network, a university-wide staff community passionate about social mobility. By curating resources, delivering training, and shaping its strategic vision, they will help embed widening participation across King’s, amplifying its impact within and beyond the university.

This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) offered on an indefinite contract.

About The Role

This role will support the growth, development, and delivery of our Bespoke events portfolio. You will be involved in multiple aspects of Bespoke events team projects, recruiting supporters, stewardship planning, creation and evaluation and maximising fundraising opportunities for the Society. The Head of Programme Delivery provides leadership for The Diana Award’s Programmes team, ensuring the effective design and delivery of a high-quality, impactful portfolio of programmes. JOB DESCRIPTION

Programme Leadership & Partnership Management

• Lead the delivery of core programmes and our international award, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy, funding commitments, KPIs, and quality standards.
• Oversee programme planning, scheduling, logistics, and budget management with Programme Managers.
• Monitor delivery performance and budgets, ensuring effective processes and accurate reporting to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
• Ensure all programme activities meet agreed funding KPIs and deliverables.
• Work across the organisation, including closely with the Marketing & Communications team, to support effective delivery of programmes and partnerships.

JOB PURPOSE

The role of the Start Ready Advisor is to support the Start Ready Manager in delivering the day-to-day operations of the Start Ready financial mechanism. This innovative global pooled fund allows our members to anticipate and respond to crises of a predictable nature (such as droughts, heatwaves, floods, and cyclones) through rapidly activating prepositioned funds using forecasts. 

This role is line managed by the Start Ready Manager and works alongside the Start Ready Officer to help deliver the operational, technical, and coordination tasks of the fund. The postholder will support the BAU tasks – leading key aspects of it – to ensure the mechanism is functioning effectively and completing the annual workplan, whilst advising the development and improvements of the standard operations. 

The Start Ready Advisor will work closely with many internal teams of Start Network, Start Network members, and external partners to ensure that Start Ready meets its programmatic goals.

The Role 
Reporting to the Café Manager, the Deputy Café Manager plays a vital role in leading and motivating a dedicated team of volunteers to drive fundraising efforts that fuel the charity’s ambitious mission to save 2,000 lives each year across Yorkshire. As a leading funder of cancer research in the region, the charity has a track record of supporting pioneering projects and clinical trials that prevent cancer and improve survival. 

As Deputy Café Manager you will champion the charity’s reputation as a trusted, professional organisation that operates with integrity and credibility. You will also deliver exceptional customer experiences, ensuring every volunteer and customer understands the powerful impact their support has on the people of Yorkshire.

Specifically, you will: 

Operational duties

• Play an active part in running our Café in Harrogate, supporting the Café Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.
• Support the Café Manager to maximise the income and profit of the Café through active stock management, replenishment, and rotation.
• Manage the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the Café in the absence of the Café Manager.
• Maintain an up-to-date awareness of developments within the café/food service industry and recommend appropriate changes to the delivery of café services and products to the Café Manager.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of product ingredients and support the Café Manager to coach volunteers and develop their product knowledge with regards to allergens.

People management

• Manage a team of well-trained volunteers and staff and take every effort to create a happy Café environment.
• Ensure there are sufficient volunteers and staff to support the effective operation of the Café during all opening hours.
• Support the Café Manager to ensure that all charity policies, cafe standards and operating procedures are communicated effectively to all staff and volunteers and are maintained and followed in a consistent manner. This includes Food Safety, Allergens, Health and Safety and Trading Standards.

Financial procedures

• Support the Café Manager to ensure accurate accounting and handling of stock.
• Maximising profitability through driving sales and managing and controlling costs, stock, and margins effectively.
• Prepare and complete all Café administration in the absence of the Café Manager including cash handling and banking functions to the highest standard, accurately and on time, always adhering to charity policy and procedures.

Customer service

• Develop and coach a team of volunteers and staff to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters.
• Manage complaints effectively and efficiently, escalating to the Café Manager or Centre Manager where they cannot be resolved at a local level.

Other duties

• Be trained as a First Aider and Fire Marshal.
