We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and driven people to join our growing fundraising team.

Our Sunflower Appeal launched in June 2025 and aims to raise £5million by 2029 to open a new cancer centre at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. This will double chemotherapy capacity in the region, as well as adding outpatient clinics and diagnostic facilities for the first time in Telford. This is our biggest appeal to date, and we need to make sure that our fundraising team is robust and able to rise to this challenge.

We’re looking for people to support our amazing community of fundraisers and donors in the following areas:

- Corporate- we work with business from around our region, building long-term charity partnerships, engaging them in supporting events, and involving their teams in volunteering opportunities. One of our new team members will help us build on our programme of corporate engagement, looking across the region to identify and engage new supporters, as well as working closely with our existing friends in the business community. This role can be based at either our Shrewsbury or Telford office.

- Community- Community fundraising is at the heart of our charity, and we are constantly amazed by the commitment and creativity of our supporters across the region. We are looking for another member of our team to support community fundraising and make sure our community have a brilliant experience with us. This role will have a specific focus on building our support in Telford & Wrekin and will be based primarily in our Telford office.

Our Fundraisers need to be able to build successful relationships and will be motivated to make a real difference to their local community through their fundraising efforts. They will be confident, engaging and able to communicate our message to a wide range of people. They will be resourceful and able to identify opportunities, getting people involved in a way that suits them, and adds real value to our cause.

We are looking for the equivalent of two full time people to fill these roles. This could be one person working in each area, but we will consider part time and job shares opportunities for the right candidates.

About the Role
Job Title: Funding and Income Generation Manager
Hours: 30 Hours a week
Salary: Organisational Band D (£31,060 - £33,803 FTE)
This is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation in a newly created role at a time when
we’re looking to redesign our fund-raising activities through a mixture of activities and
events, sourcing new and nurturing current corporate partnerships and developing
commercial initiatives by making the most of our current assets.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work in partnership with the current Grant Funding
Manager (who is primarily responsible for major grant applications), whilst you will have
responsibility for pursuing a wide range of other income generation opportunities.
This role is perfect for someone with a strong track record in charity income generation who
thrives on working as part of a team yet can also work independently. You will need to be
highly motivated, well organised and have good time management skills, used to working to
targets and comfortable in providing updates and reports to the senior management team.

Based at the Factory in Porth, you’ll need to have your own transport as travel between the
various hubs will be necessary, as well as the occasional visits to potential funders and key
stakeholders.

Main Duties
 To help raise awareness of Valleys Kids and the work we do.
 To identify new sources of income and build on current income streams to support
the work of the charity.
 To provide support to the various business unit managers in their own fundraising
activities.

 To engage with the public, local community groups and businesses to develop
additional sources of income.
 To organise and manage community and corporate fundraising events.
 To attend community and corporate networking events where necessary.
 To actively participate in the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy
and budget.
 To provide regular reports to the directors as and when required and work toward
monthly targets.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated major gifts fundraiser to join our small fundraising team to contribute to our ambitious goal to raise £20 million across 4 years – our Be the Spark campaign.

You will need to be a collaborative self-starter who wants to make an impact, working at all levels of the organisation to build and develop the relationships that will enable the Ri to succeed. You will be used to identifying, researching and managing a portfolio of major donors or high value clients and comfortable working with donors at the highest levels.

This role is responsible for driving major donor engagement and income by proactively identifying and cultivating new supporters aligned with our mission.

The postholder will work collaboratively across the Ri and fundraising team to build strong relationships, develop innovative and compelling proposals, and deliver exceptional account management and stewardship to existing donors. Key responsibilities include researching, developing and cultivating new prospects, building a strong major gifts pipeline, visiting donors and prospects, and advising colleagues on best practice for stewarding major donors throughout their relationship with the Ri.

Main responsibilities

• Owning and managing a portfolio of major donors, building strong, long-term relationships and serving as their primary point of contact.
• Devising and delivering tailored stewardship journeys for each donor in the portfolio, ensuring personalised engagement

• Proactive identification and researching of new major donor prospects, and building a strong pipeline for cultivation

• Developing a fledgling giving circle aligned to the Be the Spark campaign.
• Monitoring and managing a budget, reporting to the board and analysing performance against agreed KPIs.
• Supporting and empowering other teams at the Ri to enhance major donor relationships.
• Collaborating with the events teams to ensure that major donors receive an exceptional experience at all Ri events and activities.

About you:

Essential:

• Experience of identifying, researching, pitching to and managing a portfolio of major donors or high value clients and comfortable working with donors at the highest levels.
• Confidence in talking fluently about money in a professional environment and working with donors at the highest levels
• Proven experience of building excellent relationships and networks both internally and externally
• Experience of managing relationships with donors or high value clients
• Demonstrable experience of maximising opportunities from researching prospects to generating meetings, and securing income 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Desirable:

• Substantial demonstrable experience working in a fundraising position for a charity or educational organisation. 
• Experience of organising small to medium sized events for major donors and prospects
• Experience leading a giving club or members networking group
• Patron/Major Donor/Legacy fundraising experience, securing 6-figure donations.

Where you’ll be based

Job Title: Head of Major Giving - Trusts & Foundations and Individual Donors

Reporting to: Director of Fundraising and Development

Location of work: Home based. The post holder will be expected to travel to meet donors, travel to away days and team meetings in London. The role may involve some irregular travel throughout England and Scotland. Expenses will be paid in line with our Travel and Expenses policy. 

Contract type: Ideally full-time, 35 hours per week, 28 hours or 35 hours compressed would be considered.

JOB PURPOSE    

This is a unique opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role during an exciting period of transformation at Magic Breakfast. As Head of Major Giving (Maternity Cover), you will shape and deliver our strategy for high-value income generation across philanthropy  and trusts and foundations, while embedding a newly merged team and fostering a culture of one unified, high-performing team within Major Giving and more widely as part of Fundraising and Development.

You will have a dotted-line relationship with the Business Development Manager (Scotland), enabling you to ensure joined-up major giving approaches across the UK and unlock exciting opportunities in Scotland. 

We are looking for a natural relationship-builder with a proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure gifts, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to inspire donors, colleagues, and external stakeholders alike. As part of the Fundraising Leadership team, you will deputise for the Director of Fundraising and Development when needed and collaborate across the organisation to implement, monitor, and adapt our fundraising strategy, maximising the impact of major giving.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare phased budgets and reforecasts, identifying and recognising opportunities and risks to income in line with activity plans and progress. 

• Work with finance and performance and relevant business leads to manage programme budgets and restrictions. 

• Foster strong communication and collaboration with the Business Development Manager (Scotland), ensuring effective two-way sharing of insight, alignment on donor and funder relationships, and joined-up approaches to national and devolved opportunities.

You will ensure the charity’s services programmes and initiatives are aligned with its strategic objectives, deliver high-impact results, and meet the needs of patients, healthcare professionals, and the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (RFL) across all its hospitals and satellite sites. The role sits in the services team, which is structured as follows:

The department is led by the director of services and innovation and sits within a unique ‘double directorate’ which unites services with the engagement and communications department. The head of patient support reports to the director of services and innovation. The head of patient support line manages five members of staff: three volunteer managers, the support hub manager/lead and the complementary therapy service manager/lead who manage teams of varying sizes.

The team

The aim of the services department is to directly support the staff and patients of the Royal Free London Trust through providing direct services which enhance their experience. The department is responsible for providing complementary therapy for staff and patients, the support hub information and support centre, and a volunteering team supporting over 500 active volunteers.

Context and Background

Over 90 percent of the NSPCC's income comes from voluntary donations, so we reply on the incredible generosity and commitment of all our supporters, large and small. 

You'll work as part of one of many teams, which focus on engaging our supporters and ensuring they continue to give their support. You will do this by leading high value fundraising events and managing relationships with volunteer committees.

The varied role sits within the Volunteer Board Fundraising team which leads income generation through regional and national volunteer boards, volunteer-led fundraising initiatives and delivery of special events through our high value event committees. These activities play a vital role in maximising sustainable income, engaging senior volunteers, and supporting long-term supporter relationships.

Job purpose

· To contribute to the Income Generation / Engagement and Fundraising department’s purpose of maximising income from potential and current supporters through project managing specific events including securing sponsorship and providing committee support 

· To support in the delivery of the agreed departmental strategy, goals and fundraising budget

· To work effectively with other departments in Income Generation / Engagement and Fundraising and other functions within the NSPCC to maximise income for children

· To keywork supporters and build excellent relationships with key stakeholders who take responsibility for delivering income through high level fundraising events

· To ensure our events are delivered to a consistently high standard, and bring in new, innovative ideas so we remain competitive in the sector

Key relationships - Internal

· Reports to Fundraising Manager

· Pro-actively works with colleagues in other NSPCC divisions to further relationships and identify and develop opportunities for growth

· Recruiting, managing and building relationships with chairs, committee members and other senior volunteers

Main duties and responsibilities

· To successfully manage and deliver large-scale events and special projects within the portfolio of events, overseeing all event logistics and relationship management

· To lead on specific fundraising projects and large-scale events, and support development of Executives through your projects 

· Contribute to and deliver particular aspects of the department’s annual business plan and budget. To support project groups for the Special Events team to improve processes and identify new opportunities 

· To manage and develop relationships with senior volunteers and potential supporters through effective and regular communication

About the role:

This an exciting time to be joining Motability Foundation. With our newly launched five-year strategy, our vision is clear - we want to build transport equity for disabled people in the UK so that they can make the journeys they choose.  

As our Social Media Manager, you will actively monitor trends, conversations, and opportunities across the transport and disability sector to identify moments where Motability Foundation can engage, respond, and lead. You’ll create compelling, original content for our digital channels spotlighting our impact, amplifying our voice and the voices of disabled people. Working within our growing Digital Communications team, you’ll ensure our content is timely, relevant, and aligned with sector developments, supporting our strategic aims and deepening community engagement. 

What you will be doing:

Social media management and community building 

• Own day-to-day management of our social media channels (LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook). 

• Foster community engagement - respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, sensitive, and brand-aligned way. 

• Develop and implement community-building initiatives (user-generated content and beneficiary support stories) 

• Follow best practice guidelines to ensure all content is accessible (e.g. alt text, video captions). 

Content creation and storytelling 

• Create original, on-brand social media content that reflects Motability Foundation’s values, mission, and impact. This includes written copy, graphics, short videos, infographics, and carousel posts. 

• Develop content that communicates impact and encourages calls to action, such as grant applications or case study sign-ups. 

• Collaborate with the Content and Stories Executive, and Communications team colleagues (e.g. press, public affairs) to source stories, case studies, and content opportunities. 

• Maintain the digital content calendar in coordination with the Digital Communications team. 

Campaign planning an execution 

• Lead integrated digital awareness-raising campaigns that bring together organic social, paid social, email, and web content. 

• Manage campaign creative, scheduling, and coordination, ensuring timely execution and message alignment. 

• Work with partner organisations and external agencies to deliver high-quality campaign assets. 

Social listening, analytics and reporting 

• Use social listening tools to track sentiment, conversations, and emerging trends in the transport and disability space. 

• Help develop and monitor KPIs (reach, engagement, conversion, sentiment) and produce regular performance reports. 

• Translate insights into actionable recommendations for content, community, and campaign optimisation. 

• Use A/B testing or experimentation (post times, formats, messaging) to improve performance. 

Strategy development and implementation 

• Support the development of a long-term social media strategy aligned with the charity’s five-year strategy. 

• Help define audience segments, tone of voice, content pillars, channel priorities, and metrics for success. 

• Contribute to cross-functional strategy discussions to ensure social media aligns with wider organisational goals. 

• Stay up to date on social media trends, platform changes, emerging tools, and best practices in the charity sector. 

Risk management and brand governance 

• Ensure that all social content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and organisational values. 

• Escalate any reputational or safeguarding risks (e.g. negative sentiment, sensitive stories) to the Digital Communications Manager and wider Communications team. 

• Support the development and implementation of social media policy, guidelines, and process maps. 

Your experience:

• Proven track record of success in a dedicated social media or digital communications role, ideally within a charity or a public sector organisation. 

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences. 

• Experience developing and running social media campaigns (using organic and paid content). 

• Skilled at content creation: writing, graphic design (e.g. Canva or Adobe Express) and basic video production / editing. 

• Used social analytics and listening tools to measure performance, monitor sentiment, and generate insights. 

• Managed or contributed to multi-channel campaigns, combining social media with email and website. 

• Experience managing a content calendar and coordinating with different teams. 

• Proficient with social scheduling and management tools e.g. Sprout Social, Emplifi or similar. 

• Experience in reporting, A/B testing, or using insights to optimise content is a plus. 

• Strong understanding in managing and optimising digital communication channels, including social media strategy and content. 

• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
