This is a fundamental role within our South East regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer.
The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Local Community Officer will engage and support communities and volunteers to care for 26 historic churches across Northamptonshire, West Norfolk, and parts of North Bedfordshire and Western Cambridgeshire, including areas around Northampton, Bedford, Huntingdon, and King’s Lynn.

The Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, organising, and delivering a varied programme of impactful events for service users, volunteers, and the wider cardiomyopathy community. The role covers the full lifecycle of event management, from concept and planning through to delivery and evaluation. This includes oversight of event budgets, supplier and stakeholder management, and ensuring all events are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget. Events will be delivered both in person and online, so confidence in managing virtual and in-person events is essential.

The role will focus on growing the value of funding from large trusts and foundations globally, as well as from corporate foundations and institutional funders via consortium partnerships with larger conservation actors.
The role will oversee grant and contract management with existing organisational and institutional partnerships, as well as grow this portfolio through developing a robust pipeline of new opportunities, finding creative ways to secure visibility and first meetings, developing relationships, compelling funding applications and ensuring strong contract management oversight.
The role will lead a team of two, work collaboratively with fundraising colleagues based in the US and UK to secure visibility with and develop strong long-term partnerships with new Trusts and Foundations; and work closely with colleagues in Kenya to ensure strong project delivery and grant management. Responsibilities include:
- Lead the implementation of the Trusts & Foundations (T&Fs) programme with a particular focus on growing the portfolio of large T&Fs in the USA, UK and European markets;
- Work with fundraising colleagues across priority markets and with communications colleagues, using innovative and proactive approaches to business development and relationship building to unlock visibility opportunities and develop relationships with new prospects; in order to develop and maintain a strong pipeline of high-value funding opportunities.
- Continue to oversee the current ‘programme funding’ portfolio which includes existing institutional funding partnerships and corporate foundation relationships in Kenya, ensuring that ongoing and new opportunities where they exist are capitalised on.

Peaches Womb Cancer Trust is looking for an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager who is passionate about developing accessible and relevant assets that reach all current and future stakeholders of our charity. This is a hands-on, creative role that would suit someone passionate about social media, marketing, and making a difference in the lives of others.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with prior experience in marketing and communications to enhance their skills in the charity sector and help raise awareness of womb cancer, and Peaches, with all audiences within a brilliant organisation!
You will undertake a wide range of marketing and communications activities and have an opportunity to inform our direction of travel. The role is part time, working remotely with a requirement to attend regular team meetings in the Greater Manchester area.
It is crucial that anyone at risk of, living with and living beyond womb cancer has a clear understanding of Peaches’ mission, vision and support. In this role, you will develop our marketing and communications strategy; planning and implementing tailored activity. You will be responsible for growing the online presence of Peaches Womb Cancer Trust and deepening engagement with stakeholders, ensuring our message reaches the right audiences in the most effective ways. You will also have prime responsibility for managing our social media channels, creating digital content and campaigns that raise awareness, promote fundraising and share the stories of those we support.
You will work closely with our Clinical Nurse Specialist and Operations Executive and will be responsible for ensuring that we have the assets and materials we need to achieve maximum sustainable impact for the charity. You will work within our branding guidelines and budget to build upon our previous assets and materials, increasing engagement across all platforms including the media. You will also work with national and international partners on joint campaigns, press releases and events. This is a varied and exciting role. There’s never a dull moment at Peaches!

The Press Officer will be a member of the External Affairs Team. This role is designed to support the development and implementation BABCP’s external affairs plan with a view to raising the profile and influence of BABCP amongst the general public and promoting the benefits of CBT.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
As a member of the staff team:
- To work collaboratively with other members of the staff team to deliver our Member and External. Communications, as relevant.
- To contribute towards delivering our organisation strategy.

As the Press Officer:
- Work effectively and flexibly as part of the External Affairs team, elevating BABCP’s profile through media. coverage in ambitious and creative ways.
- Monitor media trends and generate a daily news summary to staff.
- Proactively identifying any potential reputational risks.
- Work with the Head of External Affairs to provide monthly reports on media coverage and analysis.
- Secure new stories, opinion pieces, features, reviews and other coverage in a wide variety of publications, broadcast and digital media both trade and national.
- Provide staff cover in the Out of Hours (OOH) rota.
- Work with the Head of External Affairs and the Policy and Public Affairs Officer to devise advocacy campaigns and evaluate them.
- Work with the Head of External Affairs to develop and implement impactful media strategies.
- Be the first point of contact for media requests, working with the Head of External Affairs.
- Work with the Head of External affairs and Communication Officers to generate content for our social media channels.
- Support the events, Accreditation and membership teams ensuring appropriate coverage of our annual events, Accreditation and registration courses and other events as needed.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in media, press or communications preferably within the healthcare, public, or membership sectors.
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with journalists, internal and external contacts influencing change.
- High level of ICT literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and document management systems).
- Strong understanding of UK and/or Irish trade and national media landscape, particularly health and mental health.
- Outstanding spoken and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex information into simple accessible information at pace.
- Creative thinking with the ability to develop relevant content independently.
- Able to work effectively and collaboratively in fast-paced environments, and prioritising workload.
- Good attention to detail, drafting accurate copy ready for sign off.
- Understanding the importance of equity, diversity and inclusion in the context of mental health inequalities.
- Commitment to demonstrate the values of BABCP.
- Willingness to work flexibility to provide for the needs of the Association and the External Affairs Department.
