An exciting role has arisen to join Westway Trust as a Teacher working part-time at an after-school club on a Traveller site in North Kensington. You will be an energetic and enthusiastic qualified teacher with experience of working with children from Early Years Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 2. You will play a key role in raising the children’s attainment and achievement at school, and will be committed to enhancing the lives of children in the local Traveller community.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• To contribute to the raising of attainment and achievement of children from the Traveller community. With particular focus on reading, writing & spelling.
• To provide out of hours teaching at the mini-club across the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, up to age 8.
• Help children access learning activities through a range of support strategies including ICT.
• Mostly one to one teaching but occasional teaching in groups
• To liaise closely with the Traveller Teacher/mentor at Oxford Gardens to share information about the children’s attainment levels, planning and the support that is needed for individual children.
• Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports if necessary on the children’s achievements and progress.
• To work in partnership with the Travellers’ families encouraging them to be involved in their children’s learning.
• Help set-up the classroom and clear down once lesson has finished.

Experience, knowledge and skills:

• Experience of teaching in one or more of the following key stages: Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 is desirable, but not essential.
• Experience working with children and their families from the Traveller community is desirable but not essential.
• Experience of working in partnership with schools, other support services and statutory agencies.
• Successful direct experience of teaching children with additional needs.
• Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation relating to Traveller communities.
• Ability to self-evaluate learning needs of children and be able to actively seek additional learning opportunities.
• Possess good interpersonal/communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in a range of situations.
• A good understanding of the local area would be highly desirable.

We are looking for a proactive self-starter to sit within a high-performing team working to raise awareness of SSAFA’s support in the South West Region of England to those in the Armed Forces Community who need it most.

With the ultimate objective being to grow SSAFA’s presence, profile, and identity, the role is responsible for all marcomms activation in the region. The role holder will work to deliver the central Fundraising, Marketing & Communications strategy.

This role reports to the Head of Communications with close alignment with colleagues across the marcomms directorate. The marcomms manager will be responsible for managing marketing campaigns in the South West Region of England and promoting SSAFA’s fundraising initiatives and services. We are looking for an experienced Debt Caseworker to join our team and help meet the growing demand for debt and income‑maximisation advice within our service. In this role, you will guide and empower clients to understand their options, while also taking direct action on behalf of those who are particularly vulnerable. This includes negotiating with creditors to prevent escalation and protect clients from further financial harm.

You will assess each client’s situation in depth, identifying the most appropriate strategies to resolve their debt issues while exploring every opportunity to maximise income. Through practical support and casework, you will take the necessary steps to halt creditor action, prepare accurate financial statements, make repayment offers, and apply strategies to reduce, write off and manage debt effectively. Alongside this, you will provide budgeting guidance to help clients regain control of their finances and build long‑term stability. Your ability to work confidently with third parties—including local authorities, bailiffs, landlords and lenders—will be essential in preventing enforcement action and resolving arrears.

The Head of Change leads the development, coordination and delivery of the Foundation’s strategic change portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Transformation, this role provides expert direction on organisational change initiatives, ensures alignment with strategic priorities, and builds a culture where transformation is understood, embraced and delivered confidently across the organisation. 

The Head of Change acts as the Foundation’s change leader, helping to shape strategy, establishing structures for high-quality programme delivery, and ensuring teams are ready and supported through change. This senior role sits within a supporter-led fundraising function and is responsible for leading a mass participation portfolio spanning third party events, DIY fundraising and schools fundraising. You will provide leadership to the team, shape fundraising strategy, strengthen supporter journeys and drive sustainable income growth.

This maternity cover role needs someone who can provide calm and credible leadership, and support a team through an important period that includes a London Marathon over two days, The Great North Run and the Cardiff Half Marathon, and the continued development of fundraising products.
