As Educational Partnerships Manager, you’ll work across Dorset and the South Coast of Hampshire, building partnerships with schools, colleges, youth organisations and community groups-particularly in areas where opportunities are hardest to come by.
You’ll be right in the mix: planning events, delivering programmes, supporting volunteers and connecting with school staff to make sure young people have access to our inspiring enterprise and financial education experiences.

Key Responsibilities

About the Royal School for the Blind Charity
The Royal School for the Blind Charity Liverpool is a charity that runs both a School for young people aged 2-19 years old and an adult day service for young adults over the age of 19 with vision impairment, sensory, or additional needs. Although our funding comes from a variety of sources, we are starting to fundraise to support our income and make our work more sustainable for the future. Income generated will support the development of our pupils and young adults, prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life and encourage their independence, communication and mobility.

Term: Two-year fixed term in the first instance, with the ambition to establish fundraising as a sustainable long-term function within the charity.
This is a rare opportunity to build and shape a new fundraising operation from the ground up, playing a pivotal role in the long-term growth and sustainability of the Royal School for the Blind Charity. As the function develops, there will be scope to expand its reach and impact, offering excellent potential for career progression.
The Charity Development Manager will lead efforts to secure vital income that underpins the charity’s vision and purpose, driving support through donor engagement, targeted campaigns, and strategic fundraising initiatives. Our long-term ambition is to build a diversified fundraising programme capable of generating approximately £400,000 annually. This role will be instrumental in developing and delivering a growing, high-performing fundraising portfolio.
We are looking for an experienced fundraising professional who can design and deliver a robust, evidence-based fundraising strategy. This will involve gaining a deep understanding of the charity’s mission, stakeholders, and audiences, as well as the broader funding landscape, creating a diversified and effective approach that maximizes income and long-term sustainability. This is an exciting time for the Charity as we become much more outward-looking. Alongside our existing work, we have begun a capital building project to enhance our resources. When completed, the new Rushton Centre will house facilities which are open to the public, including a hydrotherapy pool and a café. At the heart of this is a wish to make the Royal School for the Blind Charity part of the fabric of the City.
In this new post we are looking for someone who can help open up our work to the wider public: the role is well suited to an experienced fundraiser looking for autonomy and the opportunity to help shape the next chapter in the charity’s history.
Although this is a new standalone fundraising role, you won't be building the function in isolation. The post sits within a well-established and supportive team and will be strategically led by the Charity Leadership group and Board of Trustees. In addition, you will have access to colleagues across our services to help bring our impact to life, and support to develop campaigns and engage new audiences. Alongside this, the Charity is currently fundraising for a capital project for a significant new building to resource our activities and reach out into the wider community. The role
As a Research & Outcomes Officer, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering the RCSLT’s research and outcomes work, helping to strengthen research culture, champion evidence-based practice and support the profession to make better use of evidence and data.
You’ll take operational responsibility for a varied portfolio of projects and initiatives, from research priority setting and engagement, to collecting and analysing data, supporting evidence synthesis and monitoring impact. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to provide proactive advocacy and support services to people who have experienced sexual violence/ abuse. The CYP ISVA provides practical and emotional support to children and young people who have experienced sexual violence or abuse. The role focuses on delivering age-appropriate, trauma-informed support that reduces distress and supports informed decision-making. You will work with children and young people who may not be ready for counselling, offering accessible support while guiding them through the criminal justice process and advocating on their behalf. The role also involves supporting parents and carers, ensuring the young person’s voice is heard and their needs are met.
We are looking for individuals who have experience of working within an advocacy role, preferably within domestic or sexual abuse or related fields such as mental health/social care/justice roles. You will have a sound understanding of risk assessment alongside experience of managing diverse caseloads and working pro-actively within multi-agency partnerships to support victim-focused outcomes. We’re looking for an experienced Oliver McGowan Tier 2 Facilitating Trainer to support and facilitate face-to-face training sessions across Sussex, working alongside autistic trainers and trainers with learning disabilities.
ABOUT LIVED EXPERIENCE TRAINING
Lived Experience Training supports autistic trainers and trainers with learning disabilities to design and deliver training that improves services and communities, while also supporting trainers to build confidence and work skills.
The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism places the voices of people with lived experience at the centre of learning. As a Facilitating Trainer, you’ll help create an inclusive learning environment in which co-trainers are supported to prepare, participate and lead as fully as possible.
YOU WILL
· Facilitate Oliver McGowan Tier 2 training sessions across Sussex.
· Support autistic trainers and trainers with learning disabilities to prepare for, attend and co-deliver sessions, including reasonable adjustments and practical support where needed.
· Encourage co-trainer confidence, participation and leadership, and support timely debriefs following sessions where required.
· Work closely with the Service Manager and wider Lived Experience Training team to respond to changing support needs and improve delivery.

The post is part-time, currently at 21 hours per week.
Hours may be worked flexibly subject to agreement with the Trustees.
The Foodbank is based at Jubilee Community Centre, Charlwoods Road, East Grinstead, West Sussex RH19 2HL.
Competitive salary for the charitable sector reviewed annually in January.
Benefits: All paid staff are entitled to be part of the NEST pension scheme.
Holidays: Paid holiday entitlement of 5.6 working weeks (pro-ratafor part-time hours worked) during a complete holiday year.The Foodbank is closed on bank holidays and these will not count as holidays.
